2008, 24th/28th Aug - *Double Dipping with the Bahama Mamas* (Part 2)

Look at this girls. I received a package this morning from the Walt Disney Travel Company, apparently it was a promotion that was going on when I booked our Caribbean Beach/Free Dining reservation (I didn't realise that there was a promotion on)

Jen, I'm on my own every other week when Derek's on 2-12 so I can empathize with you.

You all have inspired me to do some more cleaning! I try and tackle a different room/task each day of the week. Today it was cleaning all of the downstairs hard wood and kitchen floors. I had 4 boys here most of the day the last 2 days and it's amazing what a mess they can make on flooring!

Brennan's all star team had a game on Monday and one last night. Tuesday we had a family friend visiting from California plus one of Keegan's very best friends, Zach, whose family moved to Minnesota 9 months ago. Zach spent the night Tuesday and then Keegan and Brennan had more friends over yesterday, spending the afternoon spraying water guns, tanning (with SPF 70 on!) and then going for a swim at my parents. Both Keegan and Brennan fell asleep on the way to the baseball game (40 minutes away). Brennan's team won both their tournament games. They are a 7&U team playing in an under 9 tournament. They have another game Friday and the championship on Saturday. Then Brennan's done until football starts at the end of July. Keegan's got practice tonight and practice on Saturday. They have 5 tournaments coming up. Brennan has his pokemon league stuff tonight. Hopefully I'll finally find out how to really play.

I have to do payroll today so I better get moving. I hope you all have a great day!

I am here - cleaning again - but, done for today!! Off to do a few errands and then to a friends for some swimming!! Gotta love the summer! At least I am going to work tomorrow - bet you would think that's a bad thing - but I swear I do less there than here! And let's not forget - the boss is in Italy! WOO HOOO!!!

Laurie, I want to thank you for the inspiration to strip all the beds yesturday....i bashed my nail against the wall changing my bed and i think i tore off my real nail from the acrylic... the whole thumb is puffy, and i can't move it or touch it without crying like a baby. Did u feel my pain when it happened? They say twins feel each others pain....

Jeff made me a splint out of popsticks..lol..so i won't bang it or move it.I refuse to go to the doctor..i am a whimp..it will hurt...

So my day is not going to have cleaning in it at all...just a lot of whining..i am on my last hydrocodone pill now..in 4 hours i will be crying again..

I hope everyone has a better day than me today.

I got a text from Kerry this morning saying that it was in the 90's over there and she was hitting the pool. Later on I got another text to say that she's going shopping - lucky thing

Hi Laurie, I hope your day isn't too crazy busy.

I finally learned the gist of playing Pokemon at the league last night. They had over 30 kids (and some adults) doing Pokemon battles. They get a card to keep track of their battles and for every so many they do, they get a metal pin and 2 free cards. Keegan had practice so we were running from one side of town to the other all night.

Today Brennan's supposed to have a semi -final baseball game and the championships are tomorrow. We may take the boys to see Wall-e sometime if we get the chance. It got great reviews. Derek's police unit has to work 7 days a week on evening shift the next 3 weeks because they have to do all firework/parade coverage for their precinct.

Southwest released their prices through January and looking at the days we are flying in/out of MCO, it would be $1400 for the 4 of us. I'm glad we booked through Air Tran with that Mother's Day special for $644 round trip (non- stop) for the 4 of us!

Well I've had a great day today. Me and Becky took the train to Birmingham, and we arrived just before 9am. We went for a nice big breakfast and then hit the shops. She did really well. I got her some black dressy shorts, a cute going out top, some black wedge shoes and a Heffalump glass She bought herself a t-shirt for a party she's going to tomorrow night, I bought Kerry a belt that she's been after for ages, and then I got some Pirate accessories from Claire's for Pirate Night

We got the train home around lunch time, and when we got off, we went to a Chinese all you can eat buffet

I then took her for her guitar lesson and when I got home I put pink streaks in her hair and black underneath

Finally I sat down 5 minutes ago, and I'm now looking forward to a nice cuppa tea

Sounds like you've had a lovely day Mandy. I've just taken a break from cutting up fruit for our big fruit detox on Monday. I figure I will do better if it's all ready to eat. I'm going to make some fruit smoothies and freeze them too for breakfasts after the big diet.

You'll have to post a picture of Becky's hair. It sounds like it looks so cool.
