Hi All!!

It has been a while. But school is finally over and the kids start day camp on Monday. So my life can get back to normal.

We are leaving Wed night to fly to Houston to visit with my family for a long weekend. Sorry to any Texans out there, but this is our least favorite destination, It is HOT, HUMID AND FLAT Esp in the Summer. We only go because we have family there in Katy about 30 minutes west of Houston.

It has been very busy this weekend with a lot of friends BBqs and get togethers, and later today we are going to a farewell party for one of Kayleigh's best friends, Her family is moving to Cape Cod. We will have to plan a visit when they settle in.

Diane- You are very lucky your MIL thought to pull over and your FIL thought to call the DR. All the best for a speedy recovery. She will need a relaxing cruise!!!

Mandy- is there still time to get in on the Fish Extenders? Let me know the details.

I've been done with school for a week now, and I'm really enjoying the time off! Yesterday was my birthday too, so I've been celebrating with my family. I've got one more week until summer school starts, then I'll be teaching for the next six weeks. Then it's time to get ready ready for the cruise! As far as my fish extender gifts, I have started, but I'm not finished. Right now, I am planning on doing one collective gift per stateroom. Am I far off base there? What is everyone else planning?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my MIL. She is still in the hospital, there was more damage to her heart then they first thought. It is so scary to think that we could have lost her! About the only thing that perks her up is talking about the cruise. She found out one of her nurses is going on the Disney Cruise in Nov. and she was busy telling her all about it.

Hey Melissa, I hope you had a lovely birthday. What presents did you get ? Enjoy your week off before you start Summer School. It really is up to you how you do the Fish Extender exchange, you can do a collective or individual gift. You could always PM the people in your group and see what they are planning to do, but a collective gift is absolutely fine

Good Morning Bahama Mama's

I haven't got any plans for today, just taking my mum to town (boring - LOL). Becky is going to Drayton Manor today with the school, it's a local theme park, it's not huge, but the kids love it

Kerry is still having a great holiday in Cyprus. I'll be glad when she's home on Wednesday. She's had so much fun with her friend and her family. Yesterday they went out on a speed boat and I think tomorrow night they're going on some kind of firework cruise

Hey every one!

We had a big scare here this week. On Wednesday, my mother in law ( the one taking us on the cruise and to Disney at Christmas) was driving home from work which is only a couple of miles, felt really dizzy and sick, so she pulled over about 3 blocks from home and called her husband. He took her home and called the doctor who told them to get right to the ER. It turned out that she was having a heart attack! They took her to the cath lab and put a stent in Wednesday afternoon and then they did some more angioplasty on Friday. she is now doing well and we hope she comes home on Sunday. She asked the Doctor if she can still go on the cruise and he said no, he was going to go in her place I think she would probably have slugged him if she could have!! He apparently is a DVC member also ( I'm sure he can afford it!) So if all goes well with the testing today, she will be home tomorrow and should be good to go for the cruise.

She is so adored by my children ( well, actually all of us), I can't imagine losing her!

On other news, we celebrated our 21st anniversary tonight at Red Lobster ( one day late), it was not nearly as good as last year when we were on the Disney Wonder!!!! But still nice.

Danielle, when is Keegan's baseball in Pottstown, I think you said July??

We may try to get to get to Cape May NJ for a day trip this week.

What is everyone doing for the Fourth of July. We may go to Philadelphia for the day, big parade and great fireworks!

How scary Diane. I'm glad to hear your MIL is doing ok now and can go on the cruise. I'm sure the Wonder will be her best medicine!

We are STILL waiting on word for sure about the state championship. I know for sure it's the week of July 18th, but just this past week they said Douglasville will probably not host the 11 year olds this year, just the 9 year olds and one other group. That means that they are waiting on a host from the north east, PA division. Keegan's coach said we might end up in Audobon, but we still aren't sure. We have an end of the season team party at the York Revolution tonight for Keegan's regular season's team (that coach is also the traveling all star coach) so I hope to get more information. I hate trying to make last week hotel, etc. arrangements so it would be nice to know where we'll be.

Brennan's baseball 7U team did great in their tournament. They won 3 of their 4 games by the 15 run mercy rule and lost their last game to a 9U team that is kid pitch (his team is coach pitch). He's now done until next March in baseball! Keegan has 5 tournaments for baseball going through mid August and they start football conditioning July 26 or 28th, I forget. I'm just glad we only have Keegan's practice and pokemon this week and then a 3 day tournament over the 4,5,6 for Keegan in Rockville, MD. Keegan's missing practice tonight and Wednesday anyways since we are going to baseball games. Wednesday night we have box seats for the Orioles so that should be fun.

Yesterday my brother and his 3 kids came up to visit and we spent most of the afternoon and evening at my parents swimming. It's been rather hot and sticky lately so the pools been great.

I just realized late last week that our flight coming home on 9/1 was a lot earlier than I thought. Derek booked us at 11:00 so we would be home in plenty of time for the kids to get ready for school 9/2 (they will have missed the first 4 days). That means our Ohana breakfast ADR wont be used and I called to see if we could get anywhere 8/29, the day we will be at Universal Studios and I hadn't booked a TS that day. I tried practically every resort restaurant and only got in at Boma at 7:45. I want to keep trying for Ohana or Kona since we have Boma the 1st night we come in on the 21st. If a Ding rate comes out we'll try for a 1PM flight, but right now they have really gone up --$70+ since we first booked.


Mandy, Maggie's doing great, thanks. She bounced back like nothing ever happened. She ran after a baby bunny right back under the deck the same day so she didn't learn her lesson. I did put up 2 wide planters near her favorite 2 entrances she always ran under and she can't squeeze in the other areas because our landscaper put mulch up so high. We need to get some bunny wire or lattice to put up permanently.

LOL Danielle, your dog reminds me of my old dog. She would always swell up if she bit at wasps, but she'd go ahead and get stung again. She must've been to the vets about 5 or 6 times for shots

Speaking of school...ugh..nicoles guidance counselor called this morning to tell me she failed math with a 59... .I had to run up to school and wait on line for an hour to register her for summer school...i wanted to kill her. The guidance counselor showed me her regents scores she got high 80's in all ...so she is not stupid like she pretends to be...just lazy and so she failed...:mad. Anyway now her summer is ruined and i get to drive her back and forth for 2 months...jeff flipped when i told him on the phone before.

Then she has the nerve to ask me if i can drop her off at the mall with matt... is she nuts?

Hey Guys!

I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I helped Mark's mom clean a camp this morning and I will be doing it every Sat for a month.. 20 bucks an hour for a 5 hour min. means more SPA money!!!!

Em'd blood sugar went wacky again this morning.. Why not? Her EEG from a couple of weeks ago came back abnormal.. She is not having seizures but is having spikes which could be a result of an infection or more likely an inborn error of metabolism... Her muscle tissue went to the Center for inherited energy metabolism disorders in Cleveland..

Someday we will figure this out!

Now I am going back to make sure I caught up and wanted to comment here.. I hope all works out w/this. When do you take her back to Boston or anywhere else for follow up????

WTG w/the "side job" - extra money is GOOD!! WOO HOO!

Dr. Who was fantastic, and it finished on a real "No !! You can't leave it like that" moment I can't wait for next week, it was brilliant having the Torchwood Team, Martha, Rose and Sarah Jane in it - you'll love it
