Good Morning Bahama Mama's
Hi everyone!

Here are some quick pics from Sarah's 1st grade celebration!

Great photos Jen. It looks like everyone was having a good time. I'm not surprised you're so tired, you've been so busy lately. Is this week your last week at school ?
The weather was beautiful today. We went to Taylor's reading program this morning and then to camp orientation to meet the staff in the afternoon. Camp starts on Monday.
We went to see Kung Fu Panda with one of Taylor's friends, met up with her mom afterwards and spent the afternoon in the playground and talked while the girls played. It was a nice afternoon. I haven't done that in a long time, adult conversation.
Hi Betty, it sounds like you've had a nice day today with Taylor. Was the movie good ? it looks funny
Mandy- we just finished Dr Who and you were right it was BRILLIANT! Can't wait for next week.
Me too Sandy, roll on next Saturday
We spent the last 2 days in Philadelphia, first at the Franklin Institute where there is a cool Pirates display and then last night at the US Women's Gymnastics Trials and today and the Men's Finals. It was on NBC and very tiny behind some of the competitors, you could see us!! ( as if any one would be watching that) but it was really cool to be there live and watch that level of competition! They are so amazing. Sunday the women will compete and 2 will be named to the Olympic team, then some of the others will go to TX and train for another month before the other 4 are named. The men, named 2 tonight and will name the other 4 tomorrow. We got to meet Carly Patterson who was a former Olympian, that was cool too. While I'm glad my daughter isn't on the Olympic track I have a much greater understanding of the sport and the level of commitment that it takes to get to the Olympics now. These men and women are at a level called "elite" Below that are levels 1-10. We have kids at our gym that are level 10, my daughter is training for level 7, so it was really special for her to be able to see this level in person.
