Hi all,

Just wanted to start a thread for our pre-Halloween cruise in 2008. Looking forward to a great time! Does anyone know if they typically have Halloween-related activities onboard even though our cruise will end the day before Halloween?

I believe DD and I will be doing a mother/daughter cruise on this one with the side trip to disney. We where looking for a eastern but the week just doesn't work out for us.

We might be bringing 1 or 2 of DD's friends so could make for a interesting trip.

OK it is official we have booked, right now just myself and DD....which i kinda hope it remains that way, if not she will be brining a friend or 2 with her...which will be fun also.

Officially booked for this cruise ... first time cruise on any ship for all of us. Three ladies, no kids. So excited, it will be quite the trip for everyone. We've all done Disney, just not the cruise. Now they are all just hoping they don't get seasick.

Doing the 4 day cruise then staying at the Swan for 8 nights.

Great to see some fellow DISers will be on the cruise -- and DISers from Canada, no less! My dad was Canadian but became a naturalized American citizen.

Looking forward to the cruise! It will be our second cruise -- we had a blast on the first one, which was also a 4-day Wonder cruise.

Time flies when you do a lot of planning! This site makes the wait more bearable.

Eight months sounds like a long time but it will probably fly by. Subtract 75 or 90 days off that and you can do a countdown to making excursion and Palo reservations!

Yes Gortman65 ... the final pay date is August 12 which I take to be the 75 day mark. Not sure I will stay up till wee hours of the morning (think it would be 1am where I am) given it is a workday but I would hate to miss out on PALO and I'm sure I would regret not putting in that little extra effort. Ughhh the things you gotta do ...

I figure 8 months will fly given many of them are over the summer.

I am also looking to book this cruise I too am wondering if there will be Halloween stuff. We are booking the 7day land/sea package. This is my first cruise and I am having such a hard time deciding what Cat cabin to book. I want to have a Deluxe Resort at the parks and stay on the monorail so I am between the 6 & 7 cat right now. I have a 2 year old who was just to Disney for his first trip in January 07. I cannot wait for this trip! Any help or suggestions for a 1st timer are welcome and appreciated!!!!

From what I've seen on other threads, I think they only do Halloween-related activities and theming on cruises where Halloween actually occurs during the cruise. Our plan is to stay at WDW for a couple of days after the cruise so we can go to MNSSHP.

Probably one of the best suggestions I got from the boards before our first cruise was putting all your toiletries in one of those clear, over-the-door shoe holders. It rolls up nicely to fit in your suitcase and once onboard, you will love all the room and unpacking it saves you.

How old will your child be during the cruise? Our daughter will be a little over 2 1/2 by then.

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary. If you haven't already done so, I would suggest including a note on your cruise reservation about your anniversary. You never know, DCL might sprinkle some pixie dust on you!
