First cruise 10/26 on Disney's Wonder!

DH and I are renewing our vows in a simple, vow renewal on Castaway Cay.
We are doing it ourselves since times are tight and we can't afford the $1500.00 that DCL charges.
We are looking for a quiet spot on CC that would make for a beautiful back drop and very romantic. Any suggestions?

Since this is our first Disney cruise I can't be of any help to you regarding a quiet spot on CC but a friend of mine was there about a year ago so I'll ask her tomorrow and let you know if she has any great suggestions. However, I would imagine that if you call your travel agent (if your have one) or DCL directly they should be able to help you with that.

On another note...I was just checking EBAY for fish extenders and I found two, two pocket FE's with $.01 opening bids and only $6.99 shipping (no bids yet and one auction ends tomorrow). Of course that won't work for my family but it may be of interest for the couples in our group. I would post a link here but, alas, I still don't have enough posts .

Has anyone checked their reservations lately? Mine says that we are going to Castaway Cay on Tuesday and Wednesday. Is this correct? Does anyone else's reservation say this too?


Edit: Called DCL and we are going to CC twice this trip!! I don't know about anyone else, but that makes me soooo excited!!!

So does mine !!!! OMG I am so excited. Two beach days with twice the chance of getting a good day if the weather is iffy. I hope this doesn't change back. I notice they haven't added excersions for that day and if you search for that cruise it still shows the Sea Day though that isn't totally surprising as it would take some changing to have that all updated.

Mine is back to saying "At Sea" again too. How weird. I called DCL last evening to order something for our room and while I had her on the phone I asked about this and after a minute she put me on hold and came back to say yes that it was now two days at Castaway, she had went to ask her supervisor to confirm and apparently they had no reason for the change. Coincidentally the CM I was speaking to is on our cruise too and she was shocked by the change.

That said, I am even more surprised it has changed back. Man, nothing like getting some of us excited for nothing. Oh well nothing really lost, but it would have been nice to have the option to lay on the beach that day (though if we wait a day it might reappear ).

Hello all!!

I've been lurking for awhile but thought I'd post before the cruise. I'll be there with my teenaged Goddaughter. It's a present for her 16th birthday. I have been on a disney cruise before but she hasn't so it will be fun doing the cruise with her. It would be fun to meet you all if we can arrange it.

DS has been sick for weeks now so I've been out of the loop. We've been through several false diagnosis and its just disheartening. But we do know that it isn't anything contagious so don't worry about him coming aboard. Do you all want to meet up on the first day? We never nailed that down.

Hope your son is feeling better. We're in the cabin next door. Never been on this ship before (or any other for that matter), so not sure where a good place would be for the group to meet, but you can knock on the door anytime!

That's just too funny that we're neighbors on this cruise! What are the chances?!? Maybe now that we're down to the wire everyone is just too busy to respond regarding a group meeting. I made a suggestion early on about a time and place but we were waiting to see if anyone would have a better idea (our first disney cruise and not familiar with the ship or schedule of events). We leave town next Wednesday as we're sandwiching this cruise between some time in the parks.

I wish I could be more excited about this trip but our son's mystery illness has taken center stage for far too long now. Poor thing has had more medical procedures in the last two months than I've had my entire life. He's on a cocktail of medications which seem to finally ease the pain. We're just keeping our fingers crossed that he can remain pain free through the trip and maybe they'll finally figure out what's wrong and fix it so he doesn't need pills anymore! We've been through several incorrect diagnosis so I don't get overly optomistic when we get a new one. ANYWAY, maybe this vacation will be a pleasant diversion and all will go well
