2007 Rates/Packages?

Any idea when the 2007 rates/packages will come out? Also, does anyone know if the packages for this year will continue through next year?

I think the 2006 rates came out in the summer. I would guess 2007 rates would be the same.

Room Only rates are usually released about July/August ish. Package rates come out about a month later.

You can currently book stays where check out occurs on or before August 5, 2007. You would pay current year rates, and make up the difference when the actual rates are published. This only works with room only reservations. You have to wait to book a package until the rates for those are released.

So, if I book a room only now, can I transfer that over to a package deal once they come out? Also, what is the payment schedule like for a room reservation when you book so far out?

I am waiting to book for 2007 also. My AAA agent told me that the package rates will be out in June.

My AAA agent also said rates for 2007 would be out in June or July. She did tell me that I could make my reservations now, just to assure that I have a room. I would pay the cost of 1 night. When rates come out, she would convert it to the package I want, and if I accept it, I would then increase my payment to $200.

Yup. You can transfer over to a package once the rates are released.

A deposit in the amount of 1 night will be due within two weeks of you booking the room. Remaining balance wouldn't be due until checkin.

The only snag to booking this way is that when you convert to a package, they will have refund your deposit of one night, and a new $200 deposit will be due. They won't be able to transfer the money.

When you convert to a package, $200 is due within 14 days of booking the reservation. FULL balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.

We are hoping to go in Jan 2007. I called WDW and was told rates should be available in May or June.

Just a couple of days ago I made our room ressies for our Jan 1-9/07 trip. I used Magical Journeys. The rate quote is for regular season and I paid a deposit. They told me I can make payments thru them if I want to at any time, they send it into Disney and then email me the confirmation number. When the package rates come out my room only ressie will be converted to a package with my AAA discount and my room rates will adjust to Value Season instead of Regular Season. Since the air tix were already purchased I wanted to make sure we got the resort we wanted.
