Paul Revere and the Raiders-very funny!

Davey Jones-good,but the last time I saw him,he talked half the time;I wanted to hear more hits!!

Peter Noone-wonderful!!!

I've been checking Deb's site frequently to see who would be there 5/6-5/10 - hope you're right with the Nelsons...I used to love them!!

 Nelson - I just ran to tell my DF that they will be there for our honeymoon! good times!!!

I am SO excited that Davy Jones will be performing during our trip! :) The last time I saw him was 20 years ago during a Monkees reunion tour when I was in high school, LOL!!

does anyone know what time and where at epcot these will be taking place? we'll be the there week of the nelsons....as that "the nelson" as in "nelson," the blonde twins from the early '90's???? wow....talk about some memories!:music:

Each show about 1/2 hour in length. The show times in the past have been:
5:45pm, 7pm and 8:15 p.m - or something close to that. All shows have been at the American Gardens Theater, right across from the American Adventure at Epcot World Showcase.

Yes - it's those Nelsons. Sons of Ricky Nelson.

I have revised the original post to reflect these dates from the group's web sites:

The Tokens - April 25-28
The Guess Who - May 23-26

There is some question about May 27. I think it will be Gary Puckett, but it is unclear at the moment.

Yikes, I didn't even know Ricky Nelson (Garden Party anyone?) had kids!
I must be out of touch!

i'm sure you've seen them. they were called "nelson" and had a "hard rock" band in the early '90's, i'm guessing around '91...i remember talking about how cute they were with my friends when i was a freshman in high school. they had looooooooong blonde hair and they look just alike. i can't remember if they're twins or not, but i would guess that they are. their names were matthew and gunnar. i swear i'm not the world's biggest nelson fan...i just have a really good memory. :)

Bumping - hoping for more info from some of you. So far, looks like I will get to see Petula Clark, Peter and Gordon, and the Tokens during my spring trip!

ahh I was hoping for the Guess Who, will be there 15 - 22nd have no clue who the Buckinghams are better look that up first! Thank you I have been going nuts trying to find out this info!!!!

I hope (mostly) this list is accurate. My reviews (totally subjective of course):

Paul Revere - Very very funny and very good musically - especially since they added Darren Medley as lead singer - son of Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers.

Buckinghams - Adequate - but for some reason they've always reminded me of a lounge act doing Buckingham music.

Turtles - Flo & Eddie's voices are mostly gone but they are funny and the music is very good.

Box Tops - 1st Year, should be fun.

Tokens - 2nd Year - don't remember much - but after The Lion Sleeps Tonight, what's left?

Peter & Gordon - 1st Year - Really jazzed about this addition.

Petula Clark - 1st Year - nice addition.

Nelsons - Took my wife 2 years to talk me into seeing them, but really very good.

B. J. Thomas - Voice weak, very little stage personality - will probably skip this one.

Grass Roots\Rob Grill - Also voice is not so good - and we've always wondered if he has a medical condition or is a little drunk.

Guess Who - Just plain kick-a**, ear splitting, musically terrific 60s/70s rock and roll. We'll see this group 3 or 4 times. "American Woman", "These Eyes", "Clap for the Wolfman". I think I've become what they call a Guess Whooligan......

Gary Pucket - Never liked his music in the first place, but last year the voice was really gone. Won't go.

Herman's Hermits\Peter Noone - always good, though we felt his return last year after skipping 2 or 3 was missing something. But we'll go even though his fan base - the Noonatics can lean toward obnoxious.

Looks like Arlo Guthrie is finally gone from the schedule after more years than I can remember. A little sorry about that.

Peter & Gordon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter & Gordon were a British Invasion-era performing duo, formed by Peter Asher and Gordon Waller, that rocketed to fame in 1964 with "A World Without Love". Peter Asher's sister (the actress Jane Asher) was dating Paul McCartney (of The Beatles), and so Peter & Gordon recorded several songs written by McCartney, with or without John Lennon. Hits included "Nobody I Know", "True Love Ways" (Buddy Holly), "I Go To Pieces" (Del Shannon) who decided not to record the song himself, and "I Don't Want To See You Again". The writing credit for their song "Woman" is given to "Bernard Webb," which was in fact an alias for Paul McCartney. McCartney used the pseudonym to see if he could have a hit song even without his famous name attached to it. The song reached number 14 in the US and number 28 on the British charts. Peter & Gordon had their last hits in 1967 with "Lady Godiva" "Knight In Rusty Armour" and "Sunday for Tea".

Asher has continued his career as a recording executive in California and has managed and produced Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Cher, 10,000 Maniacs and more.

Thanks, I was just asking my DH last night if he remembered who they were.

Never heard of The Box Tops! I'll be there April 19-24, and wish I could hear Petula Clark and Herman's Hermits.
