2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

We are heading out from Newark tomorrow on CO 792 at 7:55 AM. We can't wait to meet everyone there. Good flying and happy cruising. I guess most folks are already there. See ya soon:banana:

Had a great turn out at the meet today and it was wonderful to get to meet our fellow cruisers. Looking forward to meeting everyone else tomorrow.

See you all real soon!

The meet was great. It is fun meeting new dis friends and talking to old ones face to face.
What happened after the meet was amazing. We walked over to epcot and we were walking on the bridge to france when Keegan from the food network started to walk past us, Annette said his name and he stopped to talk to us and had my picture taken with him. He even asked me my name. I was so excited, i think i floated thru epcot after that.:cloud9:

Have a great sleep everyone, i will see you in the morning.

Amanda

Thanks Andy for the wonderful pictures!

yes, Andy thank you for the pics. My youngest was asking why he couldn't take anymore photos with Mickey and Goofey when we pulled into the driveway this afternoon. I had a good nap and now I have some email to catch up on.
Special thanks to Mark&Mary for the pins and organizing the dismeets, Linda for the mini navies, Amanada&Annette for the "Do you DIS?" mickey head, Tom&Diana for the m&m's(they kids loved it), and thank you fellow dissers for the cupcake. You all put a lot of work into helping make our member cruise special for us so thank you very much. It was great meeting some of you.

Hope you all make it home safely.

Hi everyone! Checking in from Big Murgies den at Hilton Head on our way home!

I just wanted to thank everyone for making this cruise so great. It was so nice meeting everyone we did. As usually happens we saw some people only once or twice while others we had the good pleasure of bumping into a lot. It is such fun to have friends all over the ship.

Thanks to all the gifts we found in our fish extenders each day. What fun.

Thanks also to our wonderful tablemates. We had a great time at dinner each evening.

So I know some are already booked on SSMC08...who else is thinking of booking?

Hi everyone:

Linda and I are still onboard the WONDER -

in Nassau right now.

I have started a thread under:

09-21-08 I'm Booked S.S. Member Cruise

Linda and I also booked the B2B for next year also at an awesome price. Could not help ourselves.

It was wonderful meeting everyone and each "time" we went back to the cabin, our FE's were full. It was the best ever.

Hope everyone gets on for next year.

Please go to the 2008 thread and keep up with everythin

I have no doubt that everyone got home safely.

A lot of you went to Disney for a few days and hopefully have a wonderful time.

Will check in later when we return home on Sunday.

We just got home after a day of flying. We had a great time on the cruise but I have to admit I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed (we went out to WDW 4 days before the cruise).

It was so nice meeting people from the board and thanks so much for the fun FE gifties everyone!

Hope those who have yet to head home have safe travels!

Whew! What a trip! We just got in and I'm taking a break from unpacking. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making this such a fun trip. Those FE's were awesome! The kids, especially my youngest, was so excited to wake up each morning to see what was there and hurry back to the stateroom each day to check for more surprises - and without fail, there was always something there. It was absolutely incredible!

What a cruise! It was a lot of fun running into the Disboard cruisers around the ship. Everyone loved Mark & Mary's buttons - so many people around the ship asked us where we got them. :thumbsup2 It was great to hang out with Jay and his beautiful family on several occasions - wonderful people with great sense of humor. It was just a lot of fun. It was, without a doubt, my favorite cruise so far. :)

We are giving serious thought to next year's cruise. This one was so amazing that I can't imagine what they can possibly do to top it, but DVC seems to think they can. The Legends were all so wonderful. We loved listening and talking to all of them.

I do have to share what topped the cruise for me, though. The first day when I got to the stateroom and saw the Legends pamphlet and found out that Eden Espinosa was performing - I was just thrilled. :cool1: I just love her voice and I'm a huge fan of hers. :worship: Well, on the second day, we were talking to one of the cast members we had run into a few times and I asked her if the Broadway Beauties would be signing or taking pictures. She said no, but since I was such a huge fan of Eden Espinosa, she said she would try to arrange to get me an autographed Navigator by Ms. Espinosa and have it delivered to my room. I was of course totally rocked by that. Anyway, on the 3rd day when we were waiting in line to see the Sherman presentation (Mary was there - we seemed to follow each other around the entire cruise ;) ) the three performers, Eden, Andrea, and Sarah had walked out of the WD Theatre after rehearsal and were walking to the elevator. I was afraid to bug them, but did so anyway, and they were SOOOOO sweet about letting me take a picture with them. I was complete - my cruise had just become the best ever. Well, the navigator wasn't there when we went to bed on the last night and I thought, "Oh, that's alright! I can't expect her to remember the stateroom number with all the things she has to do for everybody. At least I have that extraordinary picture and the memories of their incredible performance." Well, 3:00 in the morning there's a **swoosh** noise at the door and I think, hmmm, must be the bill. NOPE - IT'S THE SIGNED NAVIGATOR! She had it signed by all three of them!!! I was so HAPPY beyond words. Believe me - I had no problem writing a thank you note and putting it in the mail - Disney Cast Members are the best. I'm already planning the framing and matting of my special souvenirs.

It would be great to read up on everybody else's favorite memories from this cruise, though.

Well, back to work :laundy: got a lot to do. The air around here is filled with ash and smoke from the fires still. The pool has a few inches of silt at the bottom and the entire backyard deck is covered in ash, but at least we still have a home. Good luck to those still traveling.
:grouphug:

Trish that is wonderful! Definately a bit of Disney magic!

Glad to hear your home is safe if a little dirty.

We are still on the road but should be home tomorrow.

Trish, I am glad to hear your home is safe and you all made it back safely.

M&M-safe travels.

Kay&Linda-I hope you continue having fun on the Wonder.

We are booked for a cruise in March but it's not on Disney, I can't seem to convince the rest of my family to cruise on Disney. They think it's too much $$ and there's no casino. So there will be five families on Royal Carribbean's Grandeur Of the Sea. Has anyone here sailed on that ship before? I am worried from the review I have read about it. I will surely miss being on Disney.

We returned home to Ft. Lauderdale about 10:30 this morning.

We are off to the Disney Store in Sawgrass Mills before Linda leaves for SLC.

We just can't get enough of Disney.

The B2B was awesome. Our CC day started off with a little rain but it only last a few minutes.

At the DVC meeting on Saturday I won the $300 drawing and was really excited. That was great. IT was better than Bingo 'cause I didn't have to buy any cards. :thumbsup2

Terry: (tiggergal1) hope your stay at Disney was a "WONDER"ful one.

I REALLY ENJOYED MEETING WITH EVERYONE AND GOING BACK to our Stateroom and seeing all the gifts - Everyone put a lot of thought into everything.

THANKS TO EVERYONE so so very much.

We're back home, very beat, but here! And I took a few minutes and tossed something new together:

Thanks to Tiggergal and family for hanging with my mom.

Thanks everyone for the fish goodies and congrats to Skelli_wi on her wedding!
