2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

You know, I guess we can all complain about the weather, it's so out of the norm. We haven't had rain in months, humidity has been high (unusual for us), and tempuratures have been in high 90's all month. It may sound nice to some, but like I say, it's not normal, so of course we complain.

Whatever the weather in Oct, I can predict Lots of Funshine, and showers of relaxation.

4 more pay periods and I hope I have enough money

As long as the rain stays outside and doesn't come in - I'm ok!
A nice warm sunny beach on the horizon is keeping my spirits up!

I know this question has been brought up before but is it too late to purchase trip insurance? With these storms I am really hoping we have good weather when we sail. TIA

I know it is too late to buy insurance from the carrier DVC normally uses. I think you have to buy that before the 75 day mark. Not sure about other carriers.

We just bought ours the other night. We use USAA. We only get it in hurricane season. We have the problem of getting there if we are going to get hit here. So better safe than sorry.

Our paper this moring said the water was waist deep in the new port that was built for the cruise ships in Costa Maya, and that roof were ripped off buildings and building collasped in Majahal. I hope they recover quickly. It's not fun, we got a new roof and fence after Ivan. We had a blue fema roof for a while.

HAPPY "hump" day to all

I am packing my suitcase for my cruise tomorrow on the Wonder. Was gonna leave today but didn't want my pet to stay in the boarding kennel an extra night. It saved an extra night at a hotel also. It takes me only 2-1/2 hours to get to the Port.

Very sad. We were in Costa Maya last May and the little port area was very cute. Hope the clean up for them is quick.

it is worth a phone call to find out. all they can say is no, it is too late - if you do call ask about interruption ins plus the medical insurance. You might not want the medical portion and they charge extra for that

It would be so cool if you could.I think the best way would be with the old style trunks that would fit someone.
It brings back memories of sneaking into the Drive-in back in the 60's and 70's.They would put us in the trunk of the car and we thought that was so much fun.I wish my kids could have expierenced the whole Drive-in feeling.

I called Kay and she made it to the ship. I just thought if I couldn't be on the ship, at least I could call her before she sailed and that would be the next best thing! She had a good laugh.

She is going to relax and just enjoy her time on the ocean. Good for her!

Okay, back to work for me.

glad to hear Kay made it safely and is now on board. We are staying dry but it's really humid which is such a bummer because it's supposed to get up in the mid-upper 90's this weekend and the boys will be out there for football practice. Thank goodness no games this weekend.

We had a guy come by the housing asking us if we need any trees removed, of course we do(an oak tree died on us over the summer) so it will cost us $800 for the dying oak and a holly tree. This is the last thing we need before we cruise but oh well he's giving us a break from the $950 he originally quoted.
