2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Hi everyone!

We're really looking forward to the cruise now. Just finished taking Mom on a Mother's Day trip to Disneyland and we had a ball. Now I return home to find out I have to work a conference at the Dolphin 10/14-10/17, so I guess I just have to stay at WDW a few extra days before the cruise. Even better, my company is picking up the tab for the airfare now.

That's great news! We're heading out to Vegas this weekend with DH's company picking up the air and hotel since he's going to a conference out there.

I can't think of a better place for you to get ready for the cruise than to spend some days at WDW!

How exciting. It's nice to know they are already working on it. I wish it was sooner, but I don't want to wish my summer away. We leave for LA in 12 days.

I really like the website. Doesn't have a lot of content right now but great potential.

I think Disney Legends is an awesome theme and can't wait to see who they bring on board. The highlights of all our Member Cruises have been the special Disney guests.

I know they just had Jim Brinkman on the repo cruise to the Med and would love to see him on our cruise.

Who do you guys think of as Disney legends that you would love to see?

I took a peek at the website, didn't click on all the links but just skimmed. Is this the first time they have done the website?? I think that is going to be another addiction, checking for updates often.

Yes this is the first time they have done a website. Before it was just e-mail ujpdates. I agree and think we'll all be checking it quite often. The good news is that if anyone sees anything new they can report it here.

Don Dorsey ( I recently heard an interview with him about Music he's worked on)
Joe Rohde ( Imagineer who worked on Everest)

Kurt Russell ( He used to play games with Walt.) , Steve Martin.

It will be interesting to see who they give us as guests.

Just thought of 3 more legends. Wouldn't it be great to have either Julie Andrews, Dick Vay **** or Fess Parker on the cruise.

Fess would be great, he comes to food and wine every year I believe. Also Julie and Dick would be great.

I thought it was great last year when they had Jodi Benson and Jennifer Hudson. We met Jennifer on board and didn't realize who it was until the night she performed on the ship!!! and just a short time later she won an Oscar!!!

Just saw this on another thread. Looks like Discovery is scheduled to launch on 10/20. Might be of interest to those arriving the day before the cruise

My DH is excited about that! He was jealous because of our good friends were at Vero and saw this last launch from their balconey. He said we will definately be in Fl in time for the launch.

Also, we finally received our passports after 14 weeks! Mine expires 5 days later than everyone elses and they are sending my birth certificate separately. My DH and twins got everything, passports,docs, at the same time in the same envelope. It doesn't make any sense to me Does anyone know why this would be?
