2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Welcome Tony! Info on the web page can be found in the first post. We'd love to include your information.

Two stops and a day at sea in between is a great cruise to me!:thumbsup2

Edited to add: Sorry Tony - should have checked my e-mail first. Got your information. I've fallen a bit behind but hope to have the web page updated this weekend!

Hi Tony,

HI All
Well Nanc and I just got back Saturday from the Sunshine State. We had a great time at the Jamican. Its the first time we did a swap outside of Disney.
We sat down Tuesday morning and called member services and made our resivations to stay at OKW two days before and three days after the Members Cruise. Hope to meet cruisers.

Ok, time to check in.

First time DVC cruisers, this will be our 6th DCL cruise.

Ashley & Karen! Yeah! Glad to see you guys again. It's been too long since I was last in London.

And Linda - we seem to be traveling a lot together lately... :cool1:

We are really looking forward to this. Adrienne (DW) is so excited about the double dip at CC. She can't wait!

Glad to see you checking in! You are going to LOVE the DVC member cruise!

Thanks. My business travel days are pretty much over now, so don't know when I will make to to London next. We are in Italy in September, and have a few days extra at the end. We still haven't decided if we will head up to Disneyland Paris, Brussels, Luxembourg, or London. Adrienne wants to do all four, but there isn't enough time! :sad2:

Good Morning All
From what I have heard we don't have to have passports on the Members Cruise. Please correct if im wrong

/
Dan - you are right for the cruise itself you do not need a passport. However if you have to fly home for a foreign port you would need one. My thinking is in this day and age it is better to have one than not.

If anything were to happen to you on CC (our only port) they would most likely take you by helicopter over go Abaco Island in the Bahamas. To get home from there you would need a passport.

Hope this helps.

And if you want to get a passport, now is the time to go down to your post office get an application and find out where your local passport office is (often at the post office itself). It can sometimes take as much as a month for you to get an appointment (depending on how busy they are), and the passport process can take as little as 2-4 weeks and as much as 6 months. Cheryl's and mine went through very quick, but that's because I've had a security clearance before so they already have a file on me :)

So do it now, don't wait. It's also a lot safer and smarter to carry a passport than your birth certificates.

I know we were on Treasure Island FLA near ST PETE. We gog bad t Storms but no Twisters like they did in Lady Lake Fla which was about 50 miles north of us. If you know where the villagers retirement homes aare thts where it hit.

I have yet to call on the travel insurance. Does anyone have a ballpark on how much it costs and when payment is due?

Cobbler

Good morning all from Maine. Just another cold sunny day waiting for the first big snow storm of the winter starting tomorrow into wednesday

It's passing through here first Dan. A couple of inches this morning and we should be getting more tomorrow. No where near what NY has gotten this year so we can't complain!

We were supposed to get snow but now they are calling for ice and rain changing to freezing rain. So that mean we will be getting nothing!

Good Morning
Well its about +6 degrees here this morning. The weather man here in Maine is telling us to expect about 9 to 14 inches of snow starting late tonight and going into tomorrow night. Our two oldest boys are frefighters for the city of Portland Maine. They both have to travel to Portland from Brunswick and have to come home tomorrow in the storm. I don't think there wives are worried but Mom is HA HA. Well enought of that counting days until OCT for the Cruise and 9 days at the World.

Evervbody have a Magical Day

I hope every one stays warm and safe. I remember those maine winters. No thanks. I won't complain about my 30 degrees later this week.

have a good Tuesday,

Our rain in Ft. Lauderdale finally stopped. Cool but not "cold" at all.

Nice and sunny outside today

Did you get any rain in FWB?
