He is a Patriots fan- and I am sure the World Series will be on and he is a Red Sox Fan. Since my Yankees are done I will be hanging out by the pool!!!!! Any takers?

I thought after living in Maine for a while your husband would have converted you to a Red Sox Fan.
All those big Yankee salaries for not. George might learn someday to leave Old recycled players who are past there Prime alone RE: Roger Clemons. He was luckey with Jonney Damon and all his problems. Thats why the Sox let him go.
Well enough of that Joan. We got the luggage out today and we have cloths all over the spare bedroom but we are ready to go. Just counting the hour's.

Just remembered the Disboards today... Man, this thread is huge!

I found the Beach Club and sailing day meets, but what's this about a mini navigator and "fish extenders"? I don't remember either of those from last year's cruise. I tried searching, but as I'm sure you all know already, the search functions for this software aren't too good.

Although it looks like I'm too late to get into this fish extender stuff from what I'm reading.

Anyway, it'll be real easy to recognize me. Look for a guy who looks like a real dwarf (short, stocky, bearded) and on crutches. Broke my ankle last week... just in time for the cruise and 6 days in WDW and Universal.

And a ball cap with the Square & Compasses on it.

I'm not totally up to speed myself, but FEs are pocket organizer things to hang on your message fish and those whose names were in earlier have all agreed to participate in little goodies to each others' FEs. At least, I hope that's what's up because that's as I've planned. Mini-Nav's are like a who's who that have been chatting here with other useful information included. I've never been on a DVC cruise before, so these are only my summaries of my assumptions based on the portions of this thread that I have read. How is that for a disclaimer! I'm amazed at the talents and effort exhibited by so many here.
Welcome to the board. Sorry about the crutches, but you will be easier to spot... Do you have a dwarf nickname? We'll all really be on-board the Wonder before we know it. I alternate between ecstatic to go and frightened that I'm not ready. Have never made door signs but it's on the schedule. Had never made an FE 'til today and have that bit of fabric engineering complete now...

Linda - you did a great job of explaining it.

The fish extenders started on the 2005 repo cruise and have gained popularity among DISers as not only a way to decorate outside your room but also a place to put little gifts.

The mini-nav is being done by Linda (seaulater) as a way for all the DISers to know who is where and to remind us of things like the group photo on pirate night.

Danandnan-Could never be a RedSox fan, have the Bronx in my blood. Did give in and go to fenway last summer.

Hope all is well. We have a busy weekend of packing, mowing and cleaning ahead of us. Of course we have to take time out to watch the Patriots and the Sox.

I am sore- a new aerobics instructor tonight.

Thanks! I'm getting just as excited! Actually I should be thanking all the first time Member Cruisers. After last year when it seemed like so many DISers didn't want to go again I thought we'd be the only DISers on the ship. I've really enjoyed helping new cruisers and also getting to meet so many more DISers.

oh man, Joannel: if I were do do aerobics, I would not be able to move much for several days.

My living room is full of clothes and items all over the couch and floor. Guess they will be there until next Friday or so.

In between working a little next week and getting the oil changed in my car and new tires aligned, and picking up Kaitlyn from daycare 2 days, I'll be pretty busy also. The week will fly by, no doubt.

I have another cruise on 11/15 and I'm taking my 4 YO g/daughter, Kaitlyn, with me. This will be her first Disney cruise or any cruise and I am breaking her in with the best way I know.

I told her that it is one of the places where Cinderella lives and her eyes just light up.

I think I am in for a big treat on this deal.

So, I booked a 4 day on the Wonder for 11/25 to recuperate from the 11/15 cruise.

Isn't life fun. ha ha

BTW - Kim's plane lands in Hawaii at 4 a.m. Hawaii time and 10 a.m. EST on Friday morning. He is in the air as I type this. He called and said he wants to sleep for 3 days.


There re 7000 men coming home and another 6000 or so going over or already there.

The cycle continues. How terrible.

Tiggerguy, I grew up in the bronx also- Parkchester. Then we moved up to Westchester. So I will laways be a Yankee fan. It's always a rough September in my house. All I can say is go Indians!!!!!

Let the bandwagon nation have there fun.If it was the nationals doing well you would see alot of people saying how they are big fans.I don't remember seeing these fans all those losing years with all the bumper stickers saying they love the sox.lets hope the indians surround the wagon and all those fair weather fans will put away there pom poms.
