Announcing Legend Richard Sherman

Disney Vacation Club is proud to present one of the most legendary songwriters in Disney history, Richard Sherman. Together with his songwriting partner and brother, Robert, his talents helped create dozens of memorable songs for Disney films and Disney Parks including music for Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book and the most famous of all Disney Park songs, "it's a small world."

Now on the S.S. Member Cruise 2007, Richard will share details about his creative process and recount many of his personal memories of Walt Disney, the man who inspired his imagination like no one else in the world. Be sure to look out for this unique presentation that will be full of fascinating and little-known anecdotes.

My husband is ill. If my husband and I have to cancel our cabin at the last minute will my daughter, non DVC member in another cabin, still be able to go on the cruise? I don't want to disappoint her, she has been looking forward to this for a year. I hope this doesn't happen, but just in case, what's the consensus on this? Will she be able to cruise on the member cruise without us?

I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully if you do have to cancel you have insurance to cover it. As for you DD I don't think she has to be a DVC Member to have a cabin. If you don't cruise I'm sure they will still let her on. The cabin just had to be booked by a DVC member. Hopefully you DH will get better soon and you can all enjoy the cruise together.

You know......if DCL would put the luggage tags online so when I fill out the forms I could print out myself on the big labels, then they could save the postage and not send me anything pony express. Think of the resources they could save by not printing all that worthless stuff.

Or maybe, just send it for first time cruisers only and CC members print out online since they are already familiar with the "non-package" they spend all that money on!


I should work for DCL. I could save them a ton of money!

When they are delivered, we don't have to sign for them do we? Someone said they would be delivered UPS, I just don't want to have to be at home as we both work.

At least I am working for another two weeks anyway!

Of course, I am dressing up! And, for all you pirates out there, if you want to be in the DisBoard group photo it will be in the atrium at 7:50 p.m. pirate night and will be taken by Shutters. I will list in the mini navigator to remind you!

Pirate costume can be very easy- Amanda & I are doing white shirts/ black pants with pirate hats purchased at Michaels and other accessories.

Linda has it timed so that both early seating and late can be in the photo. Here is the photo from last year:

We got out Docs today, it's funny my parents got theirs in a separate book even though they are booked in a room with my DD and DS.

I filled out the bahama form but what do I put down for the arrival date and the point of departure?

I got a very nice PM from someone who lives pretty close to us who will also be joining us on this cruise.

I love the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki room song as well, we have the one sung by Hilliary Duff and it's really cute. Maybe I should go and get the Jungle Book Soundtrack/DVD for Richard Sherman to sign (we could use it for our DSs school's Silent Auction), it would make a good souvineer too.

I brought her home from the hospital today after her surgery and she is at home resting comfortably. My sister has the baby for at least tomorrow so that Karen can rest. Still in a lot of pain until the stones are gone. AND, I am at home hopefully going to get a good night's sleep. Don't know what kind of energy I am working on. !!!! I was at the Drs. myself today getting some major work done and have to go back on Monday again to finish it.

But all in all, things are good. They could be much, much worse.

Last year they had a dedicated autograph session for Jodi Benson. The year before I know someone who brought two of Art Linkletter's books and while they didn't have an autograph session for him a castmember was able to get them signed for her.
