2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Thanks Joanne - I'm not always sure if what I'm seeing on my computer is there because it uploaded correctly or if it is reading it from my machine. I just checked here from work and I can see them too.

I noticed I have Icydog's rooms wrong on the deck plan only. I'll fix that when I get home tonight. It is in the right spot and their rooms are colored correctly but I have the wrong numbers in the box. Deck 2 looks like it is going to be a party place. Lots of DISers on that deck!

Hi All, has anyone gotten their docs yet? It sure is getting down to the wire and I've seen nothing, just curious. I did however book the Hyatt at the airport for Sat 10.20 and we are going to use Fl Tours for our ride to/from port. Which reminds me I will have to cancel the Sunrise Florida Transportation ressies I made earlier. I am so excited but this packing thing is no so fun, then I have to check my parents luggage so make sure they have the right stuff packed. Have a great day everyone!!!

Looks like we are pretty covered on some other decks as well:

Deck 2 - 13 DIS rooms

Deck 5 - 4 DIS rooms

Deck 6 - 14 DIS rooms

Deck 7 - 11 DIS rooms

Deck 8 - 3 DIS room

No documents at our house yet but we should be getting them any day now I would think.

A lot of posting I need to catch up to:

Welcome Icydog

Kay- it's great that you son is so close to coming back

Hawaii- Love it. Have been to Kauii twice

No docs yet for us either

Now I have a question: Has anyone shipped items to the ship before? I looked on the boards for what to do, but I couldn't find it. Any help would be great.

Have a great day

No doc's here either.

I am ready to go now, between month end, budgets and the sale of this company.........I need a Konk Kooler now!!!!!!

1.Can we send our luggage to the cruise ship by using the Disney luggage tags (and having Disney transport them); then can we skip Disney transportation and rent a minivan ourselves and drive it to the port? The reason I ask this is because the minivan will be packed with people and luggage will not make it.

What car rental companies are at the cruise port? I reserved my minivan with Avis but are there any other companies there since Avis is so expensive (besides Hertz which is also expensive).

Also I haven't received any luggage tags from Disney. Shouldn't we have them by now?

Thanks again,
Marylyn

Before these get lost in the shuffle does anyone know the answers to these questions? Thanks

wondering if Linda and I will get both cruise docs in the same package??

doesn't really matter, I guess, as we'll already be on the ship. I usually get mine pretty quick but Linda gets hers by horse and buggy and it goes to the North Pole first. :lmao: :lmao: I'll just piggy back her.................

Got a call from DS this morning. He loves to surprise me.

Wanted me to know he was in Kuwait and just waiting for his flight to return home. I didn't let him know that I knew he was there already.

Now my day is complete. So happy a lot of the guys are on their way home now after such a long time.

I'm not sure of all the answers, but I would be surprised if you were allowed to send your belongings on the bus without taking it yourself. That would seem to be a security issue, as well as a logistical issue of who loads and unloads your luggage on the bus in case you are not there.

The luggage is pulled separately from the busses and goes over in a truck. However if you aren't on the manifest for the busses they might not be pulled . I'd call DCL and ask to be sure.

Not 100% sure on this one. We've always used Avis since they offer the free shuttle to the port. I know National doesn't offer any kind of shuttle. Not sure of any of the others.

Also I haven't received any luggage tags from Disney. Shouldn't we have them by now? They should be in your documents. Cheryl reported getting hers (she lives in Florida) so the rest of us should have them soon.
