When we last talked to out TA she told us that AAA rates would be out in October. I saw mention elsewhere on the boards that the rates are out now. Can anyone confirm that ? We are planning an October 2007 trip to AKL and would like to get the reservation done.

On Sunday..I booked my 2007 August reservation, with AAA discount, at the WL :)

My AAA TA switched my room only to a package with my AAA discount on Monday. The rates came out Sunday, but the AAA wasn't open.

Yep :) My May 2007 package was booked Monday :Pinkbounc

I have a quote for a stay at Pop in October and would like to apply the aaa discount before i book it, can I call aaa and they will tell what the price would be before I book it? Or do I have to book it before they will give me a price?

You can ask for a quote and decide from there.

We booked our 2007 trip through AAA on Monday. We recieved a great quote. I called Disney direct and this year AAA saved us about $600 and AAA saved us almost $500 through Dreamsunlimited. I am so excited!

thanks I got my quotes today.

One more question. When you book with AAA do you still get the other package perks? Luggage tags, Gift certificate to planet hollywood and the 5x7 picture, mini golf.

Yes!! :cheer2: Plus you get a AAA discount card for discounts at WOD in DTD, various restaurants, etc; a diamond parking pass that entitles you to premium parking (til the lot fills up), and some other stuff I can't remember :confused3

When I booked today I wasn't offered a 5x7, Planet Hollywood voucher or mini golf. I asked and was told this was only for 2006 trips.

If it's 2007 I'd like to know so I can make sure I get all the stuff that I should.

I was told I got a parking pass, a card to get a discount at select places, plus a luggage tag.

Yes and as they come along with promotions for 2007 they will send you it to you at least my TA does. I don't have to call and request it either it just comes in the mail. Nothing like some pixie dust surprise on a gloomy day!!

Are there lounges in parks to for aaa members? I was thinking I read that somewhere, but I might be mistaken.

As far as I know they no longer have the VIP lounge. They now have what is called the Storytelling Experience. This is directly from the AAA book...

"Guests who purchase select AAA vacation packages can enjoy the new exclusive Disney character storytelling experience...an intimate storytelling experience with a character from a classic Disney animated feature in a Disney Theme Park (Theme Park admission required, limited seating, operates on select days of the week, advanced reservations and voucher required, subject to availability, certain block out dates apply)."

It does not say if a drink is included or not or the exact location it is held at. Maybe someone who has done this can shed some light on some specifics.

We did this last June. It is held every Mon. and Thurs. at the Exposition Hall on Main Street in the MK. Times are 5:10, 5:50, and 6:30. It is limited seating and you can make your reservations 90 days out by calling the AAA number (407-939-7946). To enter the storytime experience, you need to have your Storytime Voucher (provided in your packet from your AAA TA) and you AAA card. It is a 20-minute storytime. The kids get to sit on the floor in front of the character (ours was the Fairy Godmother) and he/she reads you a story specifically written for this setting. It was cute. It's very intimate and the character takes time for photos and autographs with each child at the end of the story. I thought it was definitely worth the time we spent there...and it's FREE! :Pinkbounc
