Just wait until high school.

My cheerleader practices 5 days a week during the season, and if she decides to continue with the private lessons, that will be twice a week. Games are usually on Saturday, so she's devoting 6 days a week to the art.

My other daughter is on the dance team (similar practice schedule), and all her courses are "honors" classes. The poor kid has almost no time to herself.

Well all, we decided to change gyms afterall. We had some more drama at the old gym, so we felt it was time to move before the season really got kicked off.

I think that this gym is going to be really great.

The uniforms are super cute!

I think our Nationals are set.

I believe we are going to the UCA Nationals at Disney World on March 8.

I am a bit bummed as I was hoping that the gym would choose the American National the last weekend of March, as that one coincided with our spring break and we could make an Orlando vacation out of it.

Now, since I can't pull the other kids out of school, we will just fly down for the competition and fly right back.

Anybody else going to be there?

Let us know how it goes! :cool1:

Is there a website so we can see the uniforms?

Geez... I got to pick up my daughter at practice and another mom tells me to have her rinse with mouth wash!!? Apparently, she and a team mate bumped faces during practice doing 360's and the other girls face was ripped by my daughters braces:scared1: Her mom took her to the hospital possibly for stiches:sad2: Maybe these girls should wear mouth guards!!

Oh My. I hope everyone is o.k.:guilty:

How are JamFest competitions? We have never done them before because of the cost, but this year we are doing mostly "big" competitions. My daughter's teams always place well at nationally sponsored competitions, but place horribly at the local ones...with local judges.

We have never been to a JamFest, but we are going to one this year. I am anxious to hear how they are also.

We love jamfest. We usually do the one in Ft Lauderdale, but this year they moved it to Tampa. So much fun. Well run. Always on time. Not so crowded that I feel ok with dd being on her own. I am a bit of an overprotective mom and won't let her go cheer on another team from our gym without me. Jamfest last year was great. Love it. My fav of all the competitions.

Jamfest is a blast and the mascot Jammy is a hoot. Each one is a differnet expirence. We go to 2 a year and this year we are doing 3 or 4. The biggiest one is in indiana which is a national with over 900 teams. there are 4 floors going atthe same time for 3 days straight. LOTS of people everywhere. I have done 5 already so a pro ask me anything

The JamFest we are going to is in Biloxi in March. We are also going to a couple of varsity competitions. Then we are going to Athletics in Destin.

Is anyone going to the Cheer Power in San Antonio on 10/20? we'll be there. It'll be our first time going (our daughter not the gym).

DD has done gymnastics or cheer or horse back riding or ice skating or....well you get the picture....since she was 18 months old. Thanks goodness no major injuries. Well today she came over at her cheer private and was crying. My kid doesn't cry unless she is really hurt. I hear so many whiney kids at the gym. DD is a mouthy kid, not a crying kid. It looked fine so she went back out. She tumbled some more, but came back a few minutes later in absolute pain. One of the coaches taped it for her and told her it looked jammed. She and her coach decided to work on tucks instead so she didn't have to use her hand (yeah for dd.....this is a major move up for her that she has been waiting on forever and she did so awesome).

Well now the hand is swollen and black. I put it in a splint. Dr says not much they can do even if it is broken. But I think for peace of mind I need to know. Sigh. Why now? DD is doing so great at tumbling. I am afraid a few weeks off will put her back months. Poor baby. She is so sad. She just wants to tumble tomorrow and had begged me for a double tumble on Sat and I finally agreed after months of begging......LOL. Guess Mommy gets a break....unfortunately sounds like dd had to get a "break" for Mommy to get one.

Off to the orthopedist tomorrow morning.

Went to the Dr today. DD has a fracture into her growth plate.:scared1: Luckily the piece didn't separate. she is out for a few weeks. Crazy kid insisted she was going to tumbling tonight. Said she would only do one handed cart wheels and work on her tuck:rotfl: I am sure you can imagine Mommy's response to that:lmao:
My biggest thing is that we are off to Disney on Wed, so I guess no big rides as she only has a splint. I don't want her bracing herself with that bad hand. :sad1: I also am paying for us to stay at the Yacht Club so dd can have fun at Storm Along Bay. Dr says absolutely no water slides. She can only gently float. SIGH.
