Monstro thanks for updating the pictures! Real Madrid played here in WA too! I would have gone just to see Beckham, he is so dreaaaaaamy. :lovestruc

Sorry to hear about your father. Our prayers will be with you and your family.

Yea - they (Real Madrid) have been in Salt Lake for the past week and flew to Seattle to play DC United. I can send you some pictures of Becham... I think my daughter filled my digital with him. :) We were in seattle for a tournament July 27th - the 29th.

My wife wants to know if anyone with twins will be on board? We 3.5 year old twin daughters who can't wait to go on the "big boat".

I believe I have seen other posts on this thread regarding twins- but they may be older (12?).

However, I'm glad to hear that your kids are in the same age range as my daughter (turning 4 on Oct. 14). Hope to meet you on the ship!

BelievesinMagic: So sorry to hear about your dad. But you're right about him not suffering anymore. Hopefully it will bring you peace knowing he's in a better place now.

On a lighter note, WELCOME BACK! :cool1: And yes, I have gone crazy with posting obsessively! My tag should read "Help! I've fallen into the DIS boards and can't get out!" :rotfl2: Hmmm...I might just have to add that one!

I guess I missed the lime green paint chip thing. Can someone fill me in?

Thanks!

-Jessica

Hi Jessica,

If you go to Home Depot, they have lime green paint chips shaped like Mickey's head. A few of us are using those to create a name tag (with your screen name and your real name) so we'll recognize each other onboard.

Hmmmm....If we don't get onboard on time for the DIS meet, maybe I should wear mine for a couple days so you guys can find me. I want to be sure to meet as many of you as I can and personally thank everybody for putting up with my TOO MANY posts! :thumbsup2

This will be our first eastern caribbean cruise. Does anyone who's been on one before have any recommendations as far as excursions or things to see when we pull into port? Our only other cruise experience was a 4 day as part of a land and sea adventure and we only went to Nassau (and Castaway Cay of course).

In St. Maarten, we've enjoyed the 12-Metre Regatta and the Rhino Rider excursions.

Just wanted to post a message because I finally figured out how to get a picture in my signature.

Is anyone flying Southwest and if you are would you like some driink coupons? I have some extra.

Great! That pink slimey goop was disgusting!

Packing....um...I'll be doing that the night before, as usual. Well, I might have to alter my plans a bit and (gasp!) pack Thursday night instead because Tyler and I will be at his dad's wedding Friday night and won't get home until quite late. That will be a very busy day and I'll be SO ready to relax onboard! :woohoo:

Wow, you're attending Tyler's dad's wedding?! My parents are divorced and people think I'm kidding them when I tell them that my mom, dad and stepmom get along very well. We all celebrate all the holidays together, etc. But, it took us a long time to get to that point. Thankfully by the time I had my first child everyone was getting along. it makes it so much nicer for everyone. At my sister's wedding in May my dad walked out of the church with my stepmom on one arm and my mom on the other. Tyler is very lucky you and his dad get along.

Happy Monday... just think, only 2 more Mondays until our cruise =)

I'm sorry I missed all the back and forth over the last couple of days. Everyone must've had a relaxing weekend cruising the DIS boards dreaming of our trip =).

Just an update on air travel-- it took FOREVER to check my bag in Chicago. The lines were very long, probably because I was travelling mid-day instead of early a.m. like Friday. The security lines were easy and short- probably because most people carried on very little. So, unless things change a lot in the next couple of weeks, allow plenty of time at both ends of the airport. On the plus side, I got my bag immediately. Faster than ever before, somehow my bag was the first one off the plane! I was prepared for waiting 40 min. like I did on Friday.

Now that I'm back I'm going to start packing. Those of you who pack the day before, i don't know how you survive! I've been piling stuff up in my closet for months now. Now that I won't need a suitcase again before the trip the guest bedroom is going to become cruise packing central! On the flight home yesterday I re-read my tips I'd compiled from various websites. I need to see what's left to buy.

Those who asked, the 90th party was great. It was at the top of the Hancock building and she was so surprised. Fortunately she didn't pass out! I was a little worried, you have to be careful surprising someone who is 90... I also got to go out with my sisters and was out until 3am! It was a lot of fun and a nice break from the kids.

I'm sure there was more I wanted to comment on, but I can't remember.

Courtney,

Was your dinner at the Signature Room. A great restaurant, and I spend many many evenings looking at the Hancock from my favorite lounge. The Hancock is just out the window of the hotel where I stay and I spend most, if not all of my free time in the lobby lounge. It's not just a bar (just for clarification), but offers a full menu and is comprised of sofas and comforatable chairs.

Hi everyone! I just got a new digital camera :cheer2: and have been spending lots of time taking new pictures to practice before the cruise. I hope to take a picture of the family so I can add it the the others. Can I still add a picture?

Courtney - I'm glad everything went well with the party and the flights. :sunny: It is sooooo.... nice to take a break from the kids. I'm getting ready for school to start. It's funny how in June I'm glad to have the time with the kids and then by August I can't wait until they go back to school!!! :hyper:

Monstro - Do you have those drink coupons? I think with traveling with my 2 kids, my DH and my DF and DM, specially the DM, I think I may need one!!!

Oh - I forgot to mention - WE GOT OUR CRUISE DOCUMENTS TODAY!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:  :bounce:

I sent my DD, Maria, to the mailbox and she came back in with a white envelope and said she found it on the porch. We haven't even opened it yet.

Now - I am going to open and finish lunch.
Take care..

Jen :wave2:

We all get along great! Of course, we occasionally disagree on parenting methods and opinions of what's best for Tyler, but even married couples have those issues and we work it out and move on. In fact, I absolutely love Tyler's soon-to-be stepmom! She's a sweetheart and has always been wonderful with Tyler. She's been in his life since he was a baby, so he thinks of her as another parent. She's always careful about not stepping on anybody's toes and, in her words, "crossing any boundaries". In fact, I tried to convince them to take their honeymoon on our cruise! They both kind of laughed at me and said, "Ummmm....NO!" :lmao: Anyway, we all figure it wasn't Tyler's choice to be in a split home situation, so we owe it to him to make it as easy as possible. He's a lucky kid! Especially since he gets to go on lots of Disney cruises! :woohoo:

In light of the current airport security measures, I've decided I better check into changing my return flight. We're scheduled to fly out of MCO at 11:30am, but doubt we'd make that now. And while I'm at it, I might as well see if we can get TO MCO earlier on cruise day. Even if it means getting up before the crack of dawn...it will be SO WORTH IT to get onboard as soon as we can! :thumbsup2

We are flying Southwest, and with two daughters 2 & 4 I'm sure I'll need a drink ot 2. But it will have to wait until we settle in the hotel. Thanks for the offer.
