Good for you Holly!!! Even better news there is that they got rid of the ucky pink thing they used to try to pass off as cake! The birthday cake they served at the end of July was nice! Abby and Alec, the two that had had their birthdays earlier in the summer, were bummed that we didn't plan on celebrating everyones!!!!

We are less than three weeks away!!! Anybody packing?????

Great! That pink slimey goop was disgusting!

Packing....um...I'll be doing that the night before, as usual. Well, I might have to alter my plans a bit and (gasp!) pack Thursday night instead because Tyler and I will be at his dad's wedding Friday night and won't get home until quite late. That will be a very busy day and I'll be SO ready to relax onboard! :woohoo:

I started packing after the cruise last year. I took everything that I did not use on the last cruise and put in one carry on and marked in 2006 cruise--left over disposable cameras, video tape, the walkie-talkie things (shops my age by the name--I have no idea what they call them now), extra batteries, flash light, and surge protection. I will be hauling that piece of luggage out soon to see if I need anything else other than my clothes. :cool1:

Here's hoping there are no snakes on our plane. :rotfl2: Sorry, couldn't resist. Just saw the commercial for that movie. HAS to be the dumbest movie I've heard of in a long time! :sad2: Ranks right up there with Arachnophobia.

LOL , now I dont feel so bad! I got the video out and watched it yesterday and got out last years pics from the cruise where bethany and tyler were dancing with Mickey in the lounge!

I also want to get on board and get our waiters from last time if possible, I was told too its best to do when you get on the ship as your more likely to get it then as opposed to calling.

Hey! Welcome back!

Yup, Tyler asks all the time to watch that DCL dvd!

Speaking of pics from past cruises, I just made a really cool book of our last one. kodak.com (where all my pics are) has these books you can make, with different page layouts, and you can add your descriptions of each photo, and it comes out looking like a hard cover picture book. Mine was shipped yesterday and I can't wait to get it! If it turns out the way I hope it will, I'll probably end up doing that for every vacation. :woohoo:

By the way, I think we'll be skipping dinner on formal night and eat somewhere else. I'm just not into dressing up and don't want to have to go buy an outfit for dinner.

I am positive that I can speak for all of us. We will ALL help you with your payroll if we get added to that payroll for the week we are on the cruise. :teeth:
Thank you, I am still laughing over this...I could become the most popular person on board!!! :rotfl2:

I'm planning to on the first night. Even though it will be 3 days after the actual day. Kind of strange, but it just seems like a good idea. I never have time to drive out of town to celebrate it with my family, so this time I decided the cruise will be a perfect place to celebrate! I'm calling this trip my birthday present to myself. :cool1: :cake:

This is Dave's (dh) birthday present too. Just last night he asked me what I had in mind for his birthday... it is a shame that his age prevents him from "connecting the dots". :rotfl2: I just sweetly reminded him that we would go to dinner with his parents ... oh yeah and that cruise thingy. It is almost all I think about and he forgets, great combo aren't we! :dance3:

Do the walkie talking things actually work in St Thomas and St Martin or were you just referring to on the ship? :confused3

I have forced myself to wait on the luggage for at least another week, but I did try on my formal clothing last night...just to be sure!

It occurred to me that all the snake bite solutions are either liquid in form or cut the wound open and well you know the rest...without liquids and no knives... make snakes on a plane is a lot deadlier. :rotfl2:

Ok clearly I have crossed into to silly with you today. :dance3:

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: It's hard NOT to be silly when most of us are probably giddy with the excitement of cruising in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first time posting to any thread, but our third Disney cruise. My DW and 2 DDs will be going on the September 2, 2006 cruise. My daughters will be celebrating their 12th birthday (twins) on the cruise on 9/7. We are from Georgia and will probably be driving down. :cool1:

I have your pictures and am adding you to our virtual cruise album. What deck are you guys representing?

Hello everyone!

DH and I will be cruising with you on 9/2. :cool1: This is our first cruise ever!!!!! We are very excited. We just got back from WDW last week; so now I'm obsessing about our cruise. We will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary on 9/8. Can't wait....

Debbie

Thanks

Any soccer fans on this cruise? We (Salt Lake City) just had an incredible soccer weekend. David Beckham and Real Madrid were in town playing our MLS team Real Salt Lake (RSL). They beat us (as expected) 2 -nil, but wow -that was incredible to watch those guys play soccer. In addition the politicians and team just worked out a deal to build a new soccer stadium. The RSL owner has worked a deal with Real Madrid to start a soccer academy in connection with the new stadium. A partnership between Real Madrid and Real Salt Lake. It looks like Real Madrid - one of the most storied soccer franchises in history currently worth $1 billion dollars will be a part of Salt Lake City soccer. The two teams will be paying home and home visits to each other on an annual basis. Our new stadium will be complete in time for them to play the inaugural game on their 2008 visit. WOW!

As if that was not enough soccer for me. My 13 year old DD was in a soccer tournament here in Salt Lake. Her team won it all beating the Idaho state champs in the semi-finals and one of our in state rivals 2-1 in the final. These girls are so cute! I'm going to put a team picture on our cruise site.

Jeff

Mickeymedic: Awwwww...you guys look so happy in that picture! Congrats in advance on your upcoming 5th anniversary! Great place to celebrate! I've just decided that from now on, anything I have to celebrate will be an excuse to book a Disney cruise! Well, I guess I'd better be careful with that plan or I'll end up trying to pay for a cruise after every semester. Yikes! When I graduate from law school, I'll celebrate with a 10 or 11 nighter and once I pass the bar, I'll do a back-to-back 7 nighter! OR maybe the timing will be right and there will be a 15 nighter available! WOOHOO!

CaptainJack, it's good to put a face with your name. Great family you've got! :)

Monstro: I have a friend who moved from Michigan to Salt Lake City a few months ago. She's still trying to adjust to life there. She has sent me some absolutely beautiful pictures! I'm hoping to go visit her sometime next year.

It's so nice to check in and see our topic at the top! I have a lot of posts to catch up with. I've been away as my father passed away last month. He had emphysema so we knew the day would come, yet one can never fully prepare oneself for the death of a loved one. He is no longer suffering and we are at peace knowing this, and knowing we'll see him again one day.
I will say, We sure do need this cruise on so many levels!

Congrats to you Holly on taking all of your tests! Girl, are you excited or what?
post much? :rotfl: I love it!

Welcome to all who have chimed in since I last checked in. Wow we are a big group, Yay! Don't forget to get those lime green Mickey paint chips from home depot so we can tell you are a dis'er when we see you on board. I can't wait to meet Everyone! If you see us, wave and say hello!
