20060902--Eastern Sept 2nd, 2006

Thanks for sharing the pics! The wedding pictures are gorgeous!! I can't believe that I missed that! I wish you a long and happy life together...congratulations!!!

Hey, did anybody else see the creepy guy who sort of shuffled when he walked, slightly hunched, traveling alone, staring at the little kids with a disturbing expression on his face? I had way too many encounters with him and he touched Tyler every time we saw him. Gave me the heeby jeebies!

we did meet "ben." tom is so nice that he seemed to follow him around. my hope is that he is simply a lonely person who thought that travelling dcl would have friendly people around. but, the other part of me...the cautious mom part...even though our kids weren't on board....was a bit worried.

hope everyone is doing well! life here has been pure chaos...but, we love it!

Hi everyone!! I can't believe it has been one month since the beginning of our first ever cruise!! pirate: I was doing some work on the computer and noticed that you guys were posting again!!! :cool1:

Chad - the wedding pictures are SUPER. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing.

Holly - my dad and I played charades with Ben on the cruise. He seemed like a nice person. I didn't know that he was alone. That's sad to me. Maybe Tomspixie is right and he was hoping to have a good time on the Disney cruise.

Well I got to get back to work. Ever since I returned I have yet to catch up on things. I feel like I am chasing a train that won't stop or better yet, keeps switching tracks. :rotfl2:

Take care...

Jen

It's great to see everybody popping back in to say HI!

I wasn't trying to poke fun at a potentially lonely guy traveling alone (if Ben is who I was thinking of), it was just really disturbing that each time we saw him he would sort of massage Tyler. Could have just been me being overprotective, so I'm sorry if I sounded rude.

Back to happy thoughts....I'm trying to decide whether to keep our next Disney cruise a secret from Tyler or if that would be just too hard. He just assumes we'll keep going every year (and I'm sure we will), but doesn't know that I re-booked. He drove me absolutely nuts last time asking me for A WHOLE YEAR about every other day if we were going on our cruise that day. I don't think I can handle that again, so I'm wondering if anybody has any tips on a good way to tell him about the next cruise, maybe a month before? Or maybe I won't tell him at all and on the day of the cruise, just tell him we're flying to Florida to visit friends. Then he'll figure it out when we check in for the DCL bus.

Has anyone here ever gone on the Magic or the Wonder about Christmas time. I am wondering when they take the Christmas decorations down. We are going on the January 6 cruise and I am trying to figure out whether the decorations might be up still.

Regs,

I sent your link to our English friends who were on the 09/02 cruise with us. They're long had plans to renew their vows on their 25th anniversary (9 years away...).

After seeing your pics, they're all geeked about it and they want to move it UP!! (I told them if MRS BBM hadn't killed me before then, we'd do it WITH them!!)

I would renew my vows, but it would cut into the girls time at Ocean Quest and the Lab too much and the two of them would try to out vote me. God forbid that I do ANYTHING that draws attention to us. :rotfl:

Wow! The yahoo group finally got some action going on! Quite a heated discussion about formal night and very entertaining to read the debate. Felt like I was watching Jerry Springer! :happytv:

I don't know. In all of the highlights of Jerry Springer shows that I have seen (such as on the show about the 50 most outrageous moments on TV) someone always seems to about to get punched or someone is losing clothing. And, these people actually WANTED to be on TV? :confused3 I am sure their parents are very proud of them at that point. (NOT!).

Ahem... Holly? Did you see who STARTED that debate: :teeth:

Then.. just like Springer, I walked into the audience... crossed my arms and looked at the stage in disbelief...

(I learned from the master....)

Heck, many of them are on there WITH their parents fighting over the same lover! I was a big Springer junkie back in high school. Yup, I admit it....very funny entertainment!

Did anyone let the yahoo group know to bring popcorn...Ed, nice buy on the white Dinner Jacket, was it new? If so I would assume that they have more, I would love to get one for the boys..

I think it was from some rental company. I just wanted to have one in case I needed it. I'll check and see if I can't find who I bought it from and send you the info. I remember them having a bunch of tuxedo jackets, in all sizes.

We sailed before Christmas and last year ON Christmas...don't know when the decorations come down. We disembarked on New Year's Eve and think the tree was still there. Good luck. Let us know if it is still up at that time! Thanks!

BigBlueMan...you guys should do the vow renewal onboard...i take it with Russell and Judy??? I think it would be pretty cool. I have always wanted to renew our vows now that our kids are old enough to be a part of it. Tom feels though that we said them once, and it was a lifetime. Very romantic...also cheaper!

Have a great weekend all! We are headed for the Rockford area tomorrow for a practice round and then the Sectionals round for Abby on Monday! She has a chance at making it to the State Finals...if she really plays her game.
Send Pixie Dust if you can! Being just a Freshman, she is walking in with a bit of nerves and youth!

Thanks
tif
