2006 Vacations

OK, where are you going next year???? (Don't know why my mind has turned to vacations, when I have spent all my $$$ at Christmas, but nevertheless...!!!)

In March, we're going to WDW for spring break - DD12 and I will be at BCV for a week.

In June, DD12, DD17 and I will spend five days in NYC!!!! It was a surprise Christmas present to them - they are both thrilled, especially since I got tickets to "Wicked."

And in July, five days in Hilton Head, at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, of course!!!! (Thanks, DVC, for a couple of extra "inexpensive" vacations this year!!!!)

So, where are you going? Where would you like to go????

My dad lives in Ocean City , NJ so we go to the beach a lot.
June 22- 29 we are going to Mexico to an all-inclusive resort- just south of Cancun
June 10th we are spending the weekend in Hersheypark.
Not sure what else yet.

I love vacations!!

jan 27th wdw all day jan 28th - DCL magic for a week then feb 4th or 5th wdw all day and home...

april DS is going to colorado to visit grandparents (dh's parents) from the 8th - 16th so dh and I are planning a mini get away...
we also are waiting to see when the new ride opens in AK so that would be a quick weekend trip...

sept my brother is getting married so we will go to bethany beach delaware

oct we always go to disney for the week and mnsshp

we are thinking about a disney land trip to squeeze in sometime in 2006

2007 hubby PROMISED!!!!!! Ireland !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 days !!!

I just asked DH the very same question today. He has accused me of choosing too many of our vacations over the years (we've been married for 30 years!) I told him I'd go anywhere with him! We have to make plans with my Mom in mind. Someone either needs to stay here with her or she needs to go to my sister's house. This sister willl probably be having hip surgery in the Spring - so I think we need to wait and make plans later rather than sooner.

I want to hear more about where peoople are going. Not sure if it's time foe another Disney vacation or not!

I'm going to Las Vegas Jan 1-4 and Sept 29-Oct 2. I also tenatively have a WDW trip planned for Dec 16-Jan 6, 07, and another Vegas trip Feb 18-20 but both of these are still in the working stages.

In February WDW just DH and I, first time being away from the boys!

In July or August we still haven't decided to take advantage of an offer friends made us on the free use of a lake front cottage on East Grand Lake Maine that has satellite TV, hot tub, a boat, you name it, the place is loaded! Or we might head west to Colorado!

I'm pushing for Colorado myself! I haven't ruled out Tortola or Hawaii yet either!

We're doing a similar tour in 2007 for DS's HS graduation only we're doing Northern Ireland, England and Scotland.

Mid-July going to Milwaukee for the Nascar races

Mid-August going to Milwuakee for Irish Fest

Late October taking a road trip to WDW and the DVC Member Cruise.

Both July 4th and Labor Day is the first time I have had off from the baseball park and I am planning on going somewhere.

DW & I are celebrating our 25th anniversary July 2-13 with:

-a week at WDW, staying at BCV followed by

-our first Disney cruise

We are going skiing in Febuary to Seven Springs for a week. Driving to WDW in June for 14 days. Spending 2 weeks in Ocean City, MD this July and August. In September DH and I are taking a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean. We were going to go to Paris but decided on someplace warm! In October it is back to WDW for 10 days. In between all those I go to Atlantic City here and there and DH goes on his golf trips.

October --me and my boyfriend are going on a 7 day cruise.. Leaving from Galveston.. Going to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel..

We'll be taking the kids on a 10 night cruise out of NYC at the end of April. DD will have just turned 2 and will be old enough that the kid's care program will take her for a couple hours of break here and there for me. Yippee!

We'll probably try to take at least one other trip in 2006, but not sure what yet. DS will be starting grade school in the fall and will try to arrange vacation around his school schedule.

I think we're ready to take a year off of WDW, so maybe a trip out west to WA State to see my family and/or a trip down to an all-inclusive in the Caribbean.

DH & I will be taking a 4 day Mexico cruise April 3-7. This is for his birthday.

With our schedules at work, we don't know when we will get another vacation in 2006.

We have 1 trip definitely planned-WDW Dec 2-10.

Other trips we are thinking of: Poconos for a weekend, we'll probably go next month, as DH and I didn't exchange holiday gifts in lieu of a weekend getaway. I'd also like to go to Vermont for a long weekend, maybe this Spring or Fall? My best friend and I are thinking of going to Boston/Salem together for a long weekend. No idea when that will happen, we're just talking about it now. For day trips, so far we're planning to go to Mohegan Sun in a couple of weeks to celebrate my birthday!

DH and I are going to Maui in October. It's a while to go yet but I really hope the time passes by quickly. I want to go now!!

This is the first year in a very long time that we don't have a definite trip planned. Last year we do SO much and had some wonderful trips. But this summer, we will probably take some long weekends and look at colleges since we will have a DS that will be a senior and and that will be a junior.
