2006 Summer Sanitarium Tour

I'll still have this day to finish and two more days to write about! Will I make it?

I have to leave you for a few hours. :guilty: I have a job interview, a Disney store to visit, and Target called to say that the floor waxers have covered my worn path. I'l be back this evening to continue my saga, but for now I will leave you with a little teaser: Did you know that Pop Century has a theme song? :rolleyes1

No No don't leave us your evening's my night so I'll have to wait till morning and then there's the DD's to ferry round and I don't get up early so then it will be the afternoon, so no you can't leave OK! :rotfl2:

We're staying at CSR and weren't going to eat at Maya grill as the food does not really look like our taste but now we're definately not eating there
LOL, I was jsut about to say the same thing! I ate there when they first opened and were still serving "Latin fusion" cuisine - it was really, really good! But I keep hearing they've steadily gone downhill. Count me out.

OMG. I just started reading your TR, and I finally caught up. You are making me very nervous about my trip that we have planned in July with 9 family members including a 6 week old baby and MIL and FIL who love to just wander off without telling anyone! Any advice besides don't do it?

Hey, good luck on the interview! :thumbsup2: Good luck trying to walk out the Disney Store without spending at least $100. Oh and don't forget to check out the Dollar Spot at Target. They have Disney's CARS stuff; bags, stickers, erasable boards, pencils, etc. OH, and LOTS of LIME stuff!
:)
A theme song you say? 21 Lapus says V get it right! :woohoo:

We arrived back at MGM, and for some strange reason headed toward TOT. I think we were trying to catch Fantasmic. We just missed that particular showing...not sure if I can blame smoking and peeing, but I will anyhow. I know that the next 30 minutes was consumed with potty time. I don't know what happened in the boys room, but when GP emerged, he grabbed GM's wheelchair, yelled at Daneice to get out of his way and he stormed off. :confused3 Ok, I guess you aren't staying for EMH? Not sure what that was all about...he was mumbling something and it had started to rain. Oh well! We take shelter around some hat kiosk until the rain became more of a mist. YUK! By now it was time for the last Fantasmic, so off we went. After the show, we saw Little Mermaid and just kind of wandered around enjoying the mostly empty park. A nice CM offered us free strollers. Just as MIL was opening her mouth, I jumped in with NO, MY CHILDREN CAN WALK! Sorry, that's just how I am. They have more energy than I do, and if they are too tired to walk, then we leave. How did I get to be such a big meanie? I'm pretty sure MIL huffed, but too bad! From that moment on, whenever Mr. Clean sees a stray stroller, he says, "there's one of those free strollers." :rotfl: Anyhoo, it's closing time, so we drag our weary hiney buns to the bus stop...the far far away bus stop....the we might as well walk back to Pop bus stop. Our Pop bus was full, not packed, but everyone on board had a seat. The whole bus was completely silent.....just a bunch of tired tourists drifting off to never neverland when all of the sudden.....

Ha, you thought I wa gonna leave you hanging again!

All of the sudden, DS9 breaks the silence with the new catchy Pop Century song. It's a nice little ditty that goes like this:

P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century
We're going to the P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century, POP CENTURY!
P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century
We're going to the P o p Century, P o p Century, P o p Century.

I was about to die laughing, but trying to hold it in so DS9 wouldn't think I was laughing at him. MIL had had enough and told him to stop. I couldn't hold it in any longer, so I just busted out laughing and started singing as well. By this time we were back at the P o p Century, and the tune was just enough to energize this giddy bunch. I, along with the 5 youngins skipped all the way to the room singing the new song. If you were in the 70's section that night and were awaked by some slightly off key singing, I do NOT apologize! I crack up everytime I think of that evening, and for that I make no apologies! This little bit of happiness was enough to get me through one more day....but just barely.

Great! That song is STUCK in my head now and I cant sleep!!!!!

:rolleyes1 Thanks lil'buddy!

I was right it was 3am here when you posted but I am up early, really early for me on a Saturday morning (7am) as I'm still waiting for my DSis to give birth shes only been in hospital since Wednesday :hourglass

:confused3 Did you ever find out? Oh well at least you got a few hours with out any wandering :thumbsup2

Hmmmmm....:rolleyes1

That sound will remain stuck in your head forever! But for me, it just makes me smile. :)

Well I for one am enjoying the ring of the POP them running through my head! And picturing you guys strolling through the 70's singing it.

I miss those too-much-Disney-I'm-on-overload-punchy-late-nights!
