I'm glad we joined DVC. All resorts and room types went up anywhere from 5% to 10%. Whew! Pretty soon DVC may become even more popular if rates continue to go up like that.

I guess if people continue to fill the resorts and parks, Disney will continue to raise the rates. Thank god for DVC. Let's just hope Disney can keep the maintenance fees in check for us.

hey back in 73 the Polyn was $49 a night - it was up to $69 in 78 (when we stop coming for a while)

WDW resorts generally go up each and every year. The economy and then 9/11 stopped that for a while.

they generally go up 5% to 7% each year.

Pat is right, and the DVC prices keep increasing every year too! When we bought our first contract, it was $62.50 a point, and $65 by the time we added on a few months later. Now it is nearly $100, and I am sure it will be double what we paid before too long .

I noticed this today, too. Really hefty increases it seems. During regular season, a moderate resort is $155 for a standard view! Phew. Got into DVC just in time. Last year and the years before I thought the moderates were sort of reasonable. A water view at the mods is $175. Yikes.

That's about $173 a night standard view, regular season.

Glad we purchased when we did too. I just wish we had done it years ago.

We feel so blessed to be DVC members.

With four kids we always figured that WDW would be a *once in a lifetime* experience.

With DVC we were able to go twice last year! It warms my heart to know that I can go and experience the magic every year:)
