Sorry guys! I haven't been around much either. The girls are on spring break this week, so we've been busy. And, I've been chatting on my upcoming cruise thread, so that's keeping me busy too!!!

I am so jealous Amy...... Sure wish we could find a CHEAP CHEAP deal for the 12th. I am holding on to hope.

We are planning for our trip down next Saturday - yeah!!!!

I have been away from the boards lately cause I got a bit put off by the EASTBOUND repo thread.

off to watch the Office... this is my fav episode Diversity!!!

Hi everyone - I'm still on my roadtrip - just got back from a wonderful visit to Colonial Williamsburg VA - wow, what a great place - so much history to take in. I highly recommend it to any and all history buffs! Had fun with Karen NY and a few other DISers who were in the area. Now I am back at my sister's house in Delaware for a few more days before I head back to Michigan. I sure hope winter has left so I can go home for a bit and pack for my big trips coming up in May.

Amy - please check your PMs - looking for some advice.

Can you even follow that thread? I gave up a long time ago!

Made it home last night. Kiele and I had a fun trip. We are going to try to drag DH down for next year's Spring Break. We loved the weather this time of year and loved SSR! Next year we want to explore more of Orlando. We figure Discovery Cove, Sea World, Busch Gardens and maybe try for Vero.

Well, back to work for me today.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I've been going through all the pictures and papers saved from my kids, trying to sort it in piles for each of them. Boy, I sure saved alot of stuff from those school years! Now to get started on scrapbooks for them.

Welcome Back Roxann and Kiele!

Hey Steve - my bottles of wine were delivered today :woohoo: John asked me how many bottles I already had opened :rotfl:

Well you still typed okay so you must not have opened TOO many! I hope you enjoy one tonight though! Coleen is planning a one day (no overnight) to the Tulip fest So I may have some cool pics from there to post. I havent even downloaded the ones from this weekend yet. Darn old real life keeps getting in the way .

Yikes, I found us at the top of page 3! I sure hope Cindy gets back soon, maybe the chattiness will start back up ;)

For us, soccer has taken over our lives again. For the next couple of weeks it will be really bad because we are finishing up our indoor session and the outdoor training starts tomorrow, so we're doing double duty! Good thing Deanna likes soccer !

Erin have a great trip!

I too am put off by the thread on the repo - there seems to be some interesting selection as to which posts stay and which are deleted.

I'm just back from a scrapbooking weekend (it was great) where I finished both CJs to mail tomorrow and worked on Matt and my first trip to Disney in 2004.

Hey, I resemble that remark! :rotfl2:

We got home about 3 this afternoon. We ended up staying until yesterday morning as the beginning of the week didn't start out on a good note.

Our pet sitter called and said it looked like there was a problem with our dogs eyes. So, she took him in on Monday after he ran into the wall and the garage to find out that he was almost totally blind, losing a lot of weight and either suffering from diabetes or cancer. So, we made the hard decision to have him put to sleep. It was so strange coming home to the house without him waiting for us. I'm sure it's going to be a tough adjustment over the next several weeks.

We had gorgeous weather the beginning of the week. The pool was nice, the beach was nice. We saw several dolphins swimming off the beach, in 7 trips, this was the first time I saw them at the beach but none in the creek by the resort. :confused3

We did a lot of dining out, one night we even found a Carabbas which was very good, as I would have expected. The other nights we dined at these little tiny restaurants that could seat no more than 24 people. Really more local places, as we've learned over the years to ask the people at the resorts where we should dine. Didn't disappoint us as all.

We were in our favorite building 31 - facing the creek. The boys went fishing off the pier and other little spots they found catching a couple of sting rays, 1 flounder and a couple of whitings. And, one lonely crab - on a fishing line no less.

We had fun kayaking in the creek one morning. A lot of work but it was something we'd never do in the summer as the weather would do us in before we even started. We took a trip out to Dufuskie Island on a beach combing tour as well. As usual, we found a lot of sand dollars and shells. One of these years I'm going to resist picking them up -- but when they are just sitting there waiting for me, it's so hard to keep walking on by.

We'll be back next year but we all decided, even though it's hot and humid, we prefer the summer months. No bugs (the no see-ums were terrible), pool swimming weather - Walker only "swam" in the hot tub as their idea of a pool being heated is most likely the same as WDW's idea, as the water was cold, the ocean was like ice and I missed sitting on the balcony enjoying the warm weather - as some of the days were on the chilly side at the end of the week.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Welcome Back Cindy - glad to hear you had a good trip after all the sad news from home about Tony. Sorry you had to make the decision to have him put to sleep.

Julie and Erin it's sad to hear that the repo thread is not very inviting. I hope the group doesn't get carried away like they did in 2005 on those repo cruises. Why are posts being deleted on that thread?

Welcome back Cindy! Matt and I are so sorry to hear about your beloved pet - HUGS!

The week sounds amazing - I can't wait to see a few photos :)

Gail - I couldn't tell you... but the post that I know was deleted was not inflamatory (no "points" were issued) and it was fully factual... but that thread is also over 50000 posts and just impossible to get into if you don't post there daily. It's sad really.

Welcome back Roxann

Thanks! I start my new job tomorrow. Yikes! I have never been to work @ 6:30 am and started cleaning teeth @ 7:00 am. That is just too early!

We had our neighbors over for dinner. They leave for 6 weeks in New Zealand and Australia tomorrow morning. The bad thing about planning other people's travel is that you can't go with them. I am excited to see their pictures when they return.

Cindy,

I am sorry about your loss. That would be hard to come home and the pooch was not there to jump on you.

I hope you guys had a good trip even though you prefer the summer months @ HHI. We have been one summer and two Spring Break's. We liked both!

The 2005 thread was shut down for stupid reasons. The 2008 thread is chaotic. Too many posts and not enough substance. I quit looking at that thread a week after we booked.:scared:

Welcome home Cindy.
I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved dog. I can only imagine it was a hard decision to make especially since you were on vacation.

I'm glad to hear you had a good time on your trip though, I bet it was pretty cool seeing the dolphins.

I haven't been on the internet much in the last week. Very busy week here mostly centered around Boy Scouts.
Between his meeting, a school science fair, going to the musum to work on a merit badge and helping at the Church's spring dinner and then his last day for his swimming merit badge, PHEW! He has kept us busy. Thank goodness next week is his spring break.

This type of week is exactly one which makes me wonder how single parents do it! I'm glad it's over and way to go, Nick, on those merit badges!

Cameron is very into Boy Scouts right now. We have heard more and more about it this past week and which merit badges he's going to work on next. Court of Honor is coming up in a couple of weeks. Cameron is going to be in a "leadership" position for as the Bugler for the Troop. I bet he'll be counting his 6 months soon so he figures when he might be eligible for his next rank advancement.

Thanks for the good thoughts about Tony. It is so strange to not have him here with us but I know he's in a better place.
