I don't think PM's count towards your post count, do they? Maybe you could just PM everyone on the thread instead! :rotfl:

OMG! We'd be posting sweep messages every two minutes :rotfl2:

Stay strong Diana! It is well worth saving it for tomorrow morning! Plus you still have a few you can use. Use them wisely!

Oh, no, another police officer in the group. Everyone remind me when we get to the GTKYFKK (GEt To Know Your Fellow Krazy Kruiser) not to ask about the times you've been pulled over.

For those of you who don't know, I asked that on the SSMC05 thread only to find out that Sneaky3 (Michele) was a police office in Miami. I was highly  when I found out. It was not intended as a slam at all, as I have the utmost respect for those who have jobs helping others.

But, now that I've mentioned it, does anyone have any "special" stories to share?? :rotfl2:

I'll start off with one (from my side of the badge). Several years ago I was working traffic and was having generally a lousy day. As anyone who works this career will tell you, an officer CANNOT let his emotions intrude upon how he/she does their job. (Yea right, and we all know an elephant can fly, hmmm). Anyway, working traffic and having a lousy day, needless to say I was a tad grumpy. I clocked a car on RADAR doing well over the posted limit and proceeded to pull over the driver. I approached, asked for license, registration and proof of insurance in stereotypical manner and once provided with the documents proceeded on the standard you were speeding lecture. The driver was very sheepish and apologetic, however with my mood the way it was the idea of a warning never entered my mind. That it until I returned to the patrol car and was examining the driver’s paperwork, for some reason they had and slipped the orange “Get Out of Jail Free” card from Monopoly in there. Giving the devil his due, when I stopped laughing and finally finished the radio traffic I gave the warning. Anyone who has the “cajones” or whatever to pull that can get the break. Of course I DO NOT recommend this action, as you know some of my brothers and sister is blue & brown have had their sense of humor surgically removed. Stay between the yellow and the white lines and drive safely.

Curt what a great story. I have not had a speeding ticket yet. Knock on wood.I'll have to look in all those police cars when I go thru Plymouth. :moped: :moped: Whats the speed limit?? ;)

Oh, come on out Diana!!! I know that you are just dying to post. Come on, come on!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And, I just love to tease Diana about the biting, just because she's Diana.

I think what Diana needs to do is create a new DIS account....post today, then go back to her old account to hit the milestone with her big news....

Sorry....butting into the SSMC06 thread.... :)

I called the Visa Company for anyone who is going to be paying cash versus points. If you use your Visa for booking through DCL you will get 0% interest for 6 months.

There are not too many good reasons to have the Disney Visa, but this is probably the best reason! :goodvibes

Awesome story. What a nice guy you are.

Now, where is that monopoly game we had around here? ;)

I haven't had to pay a ticket, yet. Knock on wood. I was pulled over for speeding many years ago. I was just 21 and driving a bit to fast on the highway. The officer recommended I go to court. I did and was let out of the fine. That was many moons ago.

But, that doesn't mean that I haven't been pulled over. The first time was because I had recently bought a new car and the dealership put the wrong plate on the back so it looked like I didn't have a tag on my plates.

Most recently, a couple years back, I was pulled over for having a child in a carseat in the front seat of my van. Pulled over by an unmarked car. The officer came up to the window and as I was shaking & fumbling looking for my stuff, he asked what year my van was. :confused3 I didn't have a clue -- not something I was ever really concerned with. So, I'm still looking for the things and he asks me about the child in my front seat. The lightbulb goes off in my head, now I know why I was pulled over. So, I tell the officer I have a switch for my airbag and it's in the off position. So, he asks if he can check the installation of the carseat. Sure, feel free. The officer walked around the other side, opened the door and gave the carseat a push. It didn't budge. :teeth: So, then he's not going to admit that maybe this stop wasn't all that he thought it was going to be, so he asked if he could check out the other carseats in the back. Sure. Again, they didn't budge. :teeth: One thing we are very, very cautious about is the installation of the carseats.

Finally he gave up, gave me back my license and told me to go ahead. Not that I was smug about it by any means, I just knew he wasn't going to find my carseats in need of any adjustment.

As I drove away, the woodpeckers in my stomach were still going to town.

I think she's not going to PM either. She just PM'd me and I told her it added to her post count. I haven't a clue whether it did or not, but she hasn't responded......yet!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Diana, we are stronger together than you are alone!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :rotfl:

No butting in, Karen. You are always welcome here.

Besides, you still have a couple of hours to change your mind. :)

Cindy that police department really needed money! Poor guy. He must have been behind on his tickets for that month. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great story curt
My "I got pulled over" story is a good one. It was for the tint on my car windows (the car came that way, I'm not a pimp or a drug dealer, it was legal tint in Ohio but not in NY) 9 1/2 months pregnant and I had a complete nervous breakdown! I started to hyperventilate and had really bad contractions and I completely freaked the guy out he was stuttering and could barely form a sentence! I did not do this on purpose to get out of it, I was very hormonal! But the state trooper was very very scared I was going to give birth to Emma right then and there and he wanted no part of it! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

It didn't add to my post count. It's just taking me forever to try to reply to every comment in one post!! I'm very glad I can provide some humor for everyone's friday afternoon!

Curt good luck on you promotion. Do you work in Plymouth?

We are going to look at all the numbers tonight and decide on what cat we want to try for this year. I think I will be willing to work extra at the hospital so we can have a veranda. This will be my dd's first cruise and they want "to be able to go outside from our room like on the video"

I don't think my girls are going to they gym tonight so I am going to try to get into chat. I am so excited about tomorrow.

Yes! Thank you Diana. It's keeping my mind off the call-in. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :teeth:

Here's a question for all of you who were on SSMC05. Do you remember anyone from the DIS who wanted to get on who didn't? I know Cheryl and Todd got on the waitlist (and got on) but I don't think they were calling in first thing in the morning. Anyone remember? Cheryl - were you guys trying early or am I remembering correctly that you had something going on that morning and by the time you called in later in the day it was sold out?
