(Ya' know, I only jump in every-other-day, 'cause I try to do other things besides play on the computer. I, for one, am becoming rather frightened :scared1: when thinking about the projected final post number...)

Give a girl a break, would ya'? :teeth:

Karen

OMG, Karen.............your becoming one of US!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :rotfl:

Could someone pretty please give me the details on Chat? I'm actually really bad at Chatting, because I type much too slowly. I figured I might pop in and say Hello, though  . And we have two computers, so Curt and I discussed the possibility of both of us dropping by.

Thanks!!!

Karen

Actually, it's really easy. On the main DCL forum, at the top is a post (a sticky as it's referred to) regarding Friday night chat. If you click on that, it should walk you through it.

See you there.

We've stayed at POP before for one night. Gotta love FL resident rates. Anyway, it's no DVC, but for a couple nights, I'm sure it would be just fine. Have you ever stayed at one of the All-Stars? Same basic idea.

I've stayed at POP twice, once for 2 nights, once for 1 night.....it's definitely not DVC, but it's a great place with awesome theming. Hey, the way I feel is if it's a value or nothing, I'd take a value hand's down over being here in NY! :rotfl2:

I think we've all been spoiled by DVC accomodations though. Another option, which is the option we took last year for 2 nights before SSMC05 is staying at a moderate. A little more pricey, not to much, esp with passholder rates....but a lot more room than the values and better amenities. We were booked at ASMo and then decided to fly and the DCL transfers dont' run from the values so we picked a mod POR, and I'd totally stay there again because it was worth the extra $30-$40 a night.

I can't believe that I'm up & posting before Mary. However, it is 6:49am here, where it's only 5:49am in Chicago.

Anyway,

Only 1 more day until Call-in

Karen - or anyone else going to chat the first time. I suggest you log in before the actual chat starts. That lets you play around with things.

I think tonights chat is going to be rocking!

Woo Hoo - a top with Karen and the chatters!

Hello from OKW! I went to the Member Mixer yesterday and it was a lot of fun - saw a few familiar faces and chatted with quite a few DIS people I've had the pleasure of meeting and the Call In was a big part of the chatter going on. I'll be checking in tomorrow with hopes of getting on.

Oh, and Christopher, the WDW Ambassador, was there too - he introduced me to the 2 new ambassadors and I asked him what he is going to do now - he said he would like to work for DVC! I told him he would be great at it!!!

Good Luck tomorrow everyone!

Mary - that is awesome that you got to see Christopher again. You are right he'd be great working for DVC!

Wish we were down there with you. So much going on this week. Have fun and good luck calling in tomorrow morning.

Thanks! Glad to hear you are having a great time! I'd give anything to be down there right now, it's snowing here again! :cold: You'd think I lived in the Artic or something!

Oh Mary - it sounds like you're having a spectacular time!!! Enjoy! We'll be there Sunday & Monday, so we can't wait to get over to WDW and take in all the decorations.

Some days it feels like that!!! :rotfl2: But, I've had a blast getting to know everyone so far, and it's going to be even more fun once everyone is booked (because we know that everyone just HAS to get booked).

good Morning all... Too Many Pages....

Oh well, dvcChrisVWL, I am allergic to Cilantro and Corriander. I told the waitstaff and they were quite accomodating. We were on a cruise with a guy named Manny, and he said he was allergic to "Anything Green" Our head waitress was from toulouse France (sp) and she made sure he had PLEANTY OF VEGITABLES... On international night he had 14 peas, and was up after everyone else's table had left videotaping all of the wait staff singing their national anthem (Actually, he ran out of tape about halfway through and was pretending to tape...) It was very funny, but you had to be there!!!

Late for work, gotta run...

:jumping2:

Ok so I've seen several posts on our thread here and on the main cruise board about everyone loving deck 5... do tell why that is as we were on deck 6 (I think) and really enjoyed it.

I had a couple of questions about the Member Cruise that were answered by LaWanda:

MS will ask all your contact information before checking for room status:
Names
Addresses
phone numbers
member number
CC number (etc. etc.)

They will ask for 3 choices and will go in order when asking DCL for a room assignment

The $75 fee is waved

The gratuities will be included again for this Member Cruise

She did not know if you put the cruise on your Disney Visa if you got 0% interest for 6 months. I am assuming yes because at the end of August we put a DCL deposit down on another cruise date and when our Visa bill arrived it showed the 6 months we have to pay @ 0% interest. I think I will call Disney Visa to find out for sure. I will post again when I get an answer.

Sounds like the CM are prepared. LaWanda told me to make sure I was calling @ 9:00 am EST because the cruise will probably be sold out within a couple of hours.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

For us, we liked deck 5 only because it was VERY convenient for the kids club/Flounders. But, I just want to get on the ship.
