Whew - this time of year at work is busy busy busy and I can't keep up.

Laura - so sorry you aren't going to make the cruise.

Diana - HAVE A BLAST!

We went to see the Stones in concert last night and had a BLAST!!! Ok well except for the drunk behind us who poured his beer down my back and then smoked some stinky weed - acky!

I'm so tired that I haven't had time to be motivated about the cruise - I need to figure out cabins etc. Diana - we liked having you accross the hall :rotfl:

I'll be in chat too, but I am first going to a Creative Memories open house. Maybe I can enlist a little help from Gary in closing up daycare Friday night so I can get out of here a bit early (Garfield, did you read that?? ;) ). I know he's planning on picking Walker & my daycare child up from school at 3 so I know he'll be home in time.

Then maybe I can be back in time to join chat at 8.

Yes cgcw, I did ::yes:: - and I will ::yes::

I've been digging through my closet all day looking for something appropriate to wear to aerosmith.....I've got nothing! :rotfl2: Career Clothes and SAHM clothes, no cool rock concert clothes! :sad2:

There was a thread over on the CB (yes, I've been lurking again :guilty: ) that said women jump onstage and flash the band. I take it I'm in for quite a show. :earseek:

:jumping2:

That didn't take long! :cool1:
And we still have 3 days before we can call in.
God only knows how many pages there will be by cruise time.

Hi Everybody. It's been a while since I posted last so I thought I would try to catch up with what's been going on in this thread. The last 25 pages I haven't read yet but have been lurking every so often.

I missed the personal info section so here's my info:
Name: Jeff
Age: 32
DIS Name: Copper3
Home Base: New ****ord, NJ
Home Resort: Boardwalk Villas
Occupation: Quality Assurance Analyst (Computer tester - geek)
Marital Status: Single
I will be sailing Alone. I'm waiting to hear from some friends, they may want a stateroom by themselves. I think they would buy-in if they came.

Someone asked if anyone has Jodi Benson from Member Homecoming, I do have that as well as a lot of other Member Homecoming videos (nothing from Epcot night, my battery ran out earlier in the day from Flower and Garden filming). Whoever that was PM me (I do have a few extra copies made as well).

Congratulations to Lisa, Mark and Mary for your moderator status. That couldn't have happened to nicer people.

Laura, sorry to hear we won't be sailing together as it would have been nice to meet you and your family. Have a great time on the seven day you have planned.

Diana, your girls have gotten so much bigger in the last few months and they are adorable.

Amy, is Chris playing Santa again this year? I may have some techie questions for him in the near future. I'll PM you about that.

Cathy and Heyward, I hope you are able to book this. It would be great to have you onboard with us.

Patti and Neil, Thanks for the picture! Casey and my mom both loved it. Casey has it in her room on her night table.

Lisa, Thanks for the pillowcase. Casey is using it at her house as her every day pillowcase.

Cheryl, Thanks for the BWV annual meeting info. Did anyone roast management about the dues increases, especially for transportation?

Update on the cruise dvd, I haven't gotten a chance to do it yet. I am trying to have something done before Christmas. It's been a very busy Fall around here. I'll keep everyone posted when it gets closer to completion.

That's a long enough post for tonight.

Good luck to everyone and I hope everyone who wants to gets onboard,

Copper3

Just wanted to post to say hi! We have never been on a cruise, and hoping that this member cruise will be our first. :wizard:
I have to tell you this week I have been a nervous wreck, scared that we won't be able to get on the ship.
I mean I'm sure "everyone" will call right at 9 am, so won't the phones get crowded, and possible not work?! :earseek: My luck we will be waiting for hours and it will disconnect me! lol
Realistically, how long do you think we may have to wait on the line, if we call right when the lines open? Anyone ever say the record time of waiting was?
+ + + It will be me and dh, and ds13, and hopefully an infant(middle of an adoption) who will be sailing. + + +
PS: It would be nice to have a cruise ship smilie <hint hint> :goodvibes

The closest roastings were 1] the lady about travel guard , the amount we get back currently barely covers dues. 2] Someone pointed out the charge for internet access is high ( They will look into it but right now they need to recoup the costs of getting it installed. )

Also someone wanted to see the amounts carried over in the reports.

One more thing, someone pointed out that more members using dvc resorts could possibly more costs for members. Example: If an OKW person goes to BWV does that factor into our opeating costs? ( I don't recall the answer on that one. )

My 2 questions were trivial
1) Regarding the removal of the food from the fish feeders. [ Answer: Too much wildlife taking advantage of it, which I suspected was the case. ]

2] During the Food and Wine festival the boat from MGM to Epcot ran a special routes ( 1 boat for MGM - BW - Epcot ) then 1 boat that did all stops. I asked if this affected BWV transportation costs at all and was told No.

Welcome!

The strategy to calling in for SSMC is kinda just like the one they use for CRT. Start calling 2 minutes before and keep hitting redial until you no longer get the "we're closed" recording. Last year, some of us got right through. I don't think I was on hold for more than a half hour and I didn't call right at 9. But this year, especially with all the raves from SSMC05, I think this one may be tougher to book. Another good hint is as soon as a CM picks up you give them your # so if you get disconnected, they can call you back. They do have to put you on hold so they can contact DCL and if I remember correctly that took a little bit of time.

First I want to say how hilarious it is that your hometown gets *** out! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

And second, thanks. It really is amazing how fast they grow!

Alrighty, now that I'm having a full blown conversation with myself, it's 12:30, I'm wide awake and deaf!! Aerosmith was ok. I mean the price on the ticket was $125 (I got them free) but if I paid $125 for the ticket, I would have gone up to Steven Tyler and asked for my money back because 1. The seats were really far away to be that expensive. 2. He only sang like 4 songs I knew, and none of the songs I really wanted to hear. and 3. There are some freaks that go to Aerosmith concerts!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: I was never in my life hit on by more freaky dudes with wedding bands on their fingers!! :earseek: I've had enough, I'm too old for this and I was one of the younger ones there! I just want my hearing back!! :rotfl2:

Good morning

2 days until call in!

Im sitting here eating a yummy orange yougurt and it inspiried me to do a quick GTKYFC question..
What is food you absolutely HATE and if it were the only food left in the world you might die of starvation??
I have 2 actually
bananas and coconut..

Late to the game I am.......busy, busy, busy. If it wasn't for early mornings, I'd never make it to this thread.

Anyway, food I hate? Hmmmm, I have several that I dislike but I'm not sure I've run into anything I absolutely hate yet. I don't like a lot of meat. I don't like chocolate. :earseek: There are some things I've never tried and never plan to try -- organ meat is one of them.

I'm just going to hope I never have to find out exactly what I hate.

Does anyone want to take a guess? That might be a cool little contest? :cool1: :cool1:

As the Wonder set sail for the SSMC05, VerandahMan posted post #12045 on that thread (it was so hard to pick a specific end time as so many posted even from the ship, but anyway, that's one of the ship actually setting sail).

Does anyone want to take a guess as to how many posts there will be on this thread come sail day??? :cheer2: :cheer2:

Welcome to our group!!

My best suggestion for calling in on Saturday is when you get through to a CM, give them your phone number first thing. Last year, there were problems and people were getting disconnected. That way, the CM will call you back if you do have a problem. Just a little bit of extra insurance.

And, dial, dial, dial. Don't stop. If you get a busy signal, hang up and redial right away. You never know when your call is going to go through.

Good luck!!
