I was on the waitlist last year, I did get on. I would suggest you be flexible with category, also the waitlist starts as soon as the cruise fills up ( which was around 2pm ) so if you wait until monday you could be very far down the list.

Jenny0725 thanks for the information. Did your 7 year old like being with the 8 and 9 year olds? We there many kids in that group?

In the excitement of everything I forgot to add that I need a job too. What can I do to help with everything?

My 7 yr old ended up staying with her age group since she was interested in more of the activities planned for that group. I also wanted her to stay since the 7 yr old group stays mostly in the club (where her 3 yr old sister would be) and the 8 yr olds are mostly in the lab. You DD should be fine since she will have her sister. They will have a great time!

I am hoping someone can help me out on this. We will be sailing on the Wonder on Dec 3. Is there anyway we will be able to contact Member Services to make a reservation for the Members Cruise? Any ideas?

OK, I am calling Member services to ask, the CM is checking on something.....She called DCL, and there is no-one on board to take your reservation...Ship to shore is $7-$10 a minute, and you need to call Member services to get the non 800#.

Another idea is to rent a satellite phone... It will be a lot less than ship to shore...This will work on the ship...

Best Idea, put someone on your membership and have them call in.....

OK, I found Satellite Phone rentals for "The Carribean" $39.95 a week (and up) Lowest rate was $1.50 per minute. You might be on the phone for 1/2 hour or longer, so I will figure about $100 cost. Figuring $7.00 a minute, 30*7 is $210 for ship to shore...

It will definitely be cheaper to have a trusted friend make the ressie for you...

What "gifts" were given by DIS on the 2 past cruises?
Do you have to eat in the restaurants on a rotation or can you pick your own choice?
Can you leave your car in Port Can. parking lot? Will be driving from GA and spending the night in a nearby hotel (maybe I can leave my car in THEIR parking lot).
Which catagories go 1st? I want a porthole so will try for Cat. 9
What do you need to spend $$ on--during cruise-- besides gift shop?
Do you have to pay for lunch on Castaway Cay?
Do they have drink mugs with free refills as the DIS resorts do?

What "gifts" were given by DIS on the 2 past cruises? Do you mean DVC? We got lots of pins, mouse ears, a sketch book, calendar, clock, litho, beach towels, canvas bag, beach balls and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Do you have to eat in the restaurants on a rotation or can you pick your own choice? You are assigned a rotation, but you visit all the resturants over the course of the cruise.

Can you leave your car in Port Can. parking lot? Will be driving from GA and spending the night in a nearby hotel (maybe I can leave my car in THEIR parking lot). Parking is $10 per day. Yes some of the hotels will let you keep the car in their lot, but their lots aren't secure.

Which catagories go 1st? I want a porthole so will try for Cat. 9 Can't remember what order things went in , but everything was gone by 1 pm.

What do you need to spend $$ on--during cruise-- besides gift shop? Any alcohol, bingo, pictures, gift shop.

Do you have to pay for lunch on Castaway Cay? Nope, it is included in your cruise fare.

Do they have drink mugs with free refills as the DIS resorts do? No need for a mug. Soft drinks are free at meals and the drink station on deck 9. If you order them at a bar you do have to pay for them.

The mugs they sell are extra but they offer free cups and if you want you can use your own mug. ( I think. )

I don't know if I can wait for another 3 weeks. I want to call today too.

I have a question about call in day. Last year did you just ask for a cat or did you ask for specific room. My dh did all the calling last year because it was a surprise for our anniversary. This year we will both be calling. I can't decide on a cat 9 or 6. What should we do????
