ibouncetoo, Yes, WE found the thread, and while a sitter would be nice, RRBB will not let our 22MO (at that point) out of our (specifically HER) sight.....

She just asked me if I thought we would need any baby sitting... I told her of your offer ;)

Seriosly, TagBabyIan has a great disposition, I am sure he will do fine in all of the member events. I still remember our 2003 trip... IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I just hope we can get some baby stuff for TagBabyIan on the cruise...

MarkRG, WDWLover, WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!. I am not sure about linking Dinner Ressies; Since we will have an infant, you would all be put with the children. We would love to eat with you all though.....

OK, I will be at work at 8:00AM Central Time, We have a T1 dedicated for voice, and my redial is almost instant... problem, I will be at work and might get called away. Other problem, We have CHAT restricted from our workstations...I could disable it temporaroly on my workstation (I am the sytem administrator), but it is a bad example...

We will have to get our son a passport!!!!!

I also agree, CC, 1 day at sea, CC for the itinerary...

:jumping2:

PS MarkRG, Did you ever contact Badgeaminute??? ;);)

Hi all.
It's taken a while for me to get around to posting on this site ,but I'll definately be using both my phones to book as soon as the lines open for this cruise. I booked on board the repo cruise for the following week for the Halloween Wonder cruise October 29 2006, but obviously I will be transfering that ressie to this DVC cruise. Didn't go this year since we had already booked to go on the Magic's repo cruise which had just returned.

I think I will bring Pirate Mickey along with us if we get to do this cruise. This year he will be guarding our deck next year our balcony on the Wonder!

I wonder if since this cruise is in October if there will be a Halloween party. Do they do anything on the cruises for Halloween?

Hey Jenny - I do think that DCL does something on Halloween day, but I don't know that they do anything on any other day. I do know that some people on a Halloween cruise have done their own DIS kids costume party & trick-or-treating.

We were on a cruise (DCL) on halloween a few years back. There was a special parade, Kids went around rgw ship in costume. There was also a costume contest.. We got funniest (homemade Mr&Mrs Potato head... The guy who won most Fisney hand [ainted this most incredible jacket...

There wasn't any other special activities for adults.

Good morning hopeful cruisers.

Call in day is 9 weeks away

:cool1: Nine - Eight - Seven - Six - Five - Four - Three - Two - One - Zero!!! We are into the single digits (weeks) but I wish we were doing the single digit (days) dance!!! Annmarie

Yippee!!!!!!!!

But, less than 3 weeks until we go to WDW.. SS and Ian's first haircut!!!!!!!

I hope he will like Flounder's nursey; he will probably be there all bu himself on the cruise...at least for 2-3 hours a day. He will be 22 MO then. Hey, does anyone here know what the fountain by the mickey pool looks like? maybe a picture... He loves swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and it is a shame that he can't use the mickey pool with us there to hold him.

OK, enough ranting.

Now here is another question(this is rhetorical because the answer is obvious); should we book a room for the week before the cruise on the 11 month booking window (a full week before we can register for the cruise???) and do we have to call in right at 9:00AM Eastern time???

Ian won't be the only one in Flounders, my DD, Julia who have just turned 2 will be there! We just did the last member cruise, where I had 2 babies in Flounders, next cruise my DD Emma will turn 3 so Julia will need a Flounder's friend!

We actually just got Julia's 1st haircut at the MK after the cruise to. It's a lot of fun (for parents, not so much for babies! :rotfl2: )

I have pictures of the Mickey Fountain somewhere in my 600+ pictures. I'll post them later on.

As for your question, this last trip we booked at the 11 month window at at home BCV for after the cruise, mostly because we wanted to avoid Labor Day crowds. At 7 months I changed our ressie to VWL instead, and it wasn't a problem. I don't know how Halloween is going to impact our availablity with a room though.

Calling it a 'fountain' is kind of incorrect. More like a near zero depth area, with that spongy bottom and a bunch of water spraying in from the edge. and there IS water in it. And from the earlier days of cruising DCL, seeing the entire Mickey pool closed down too many times a day for an accident, I'm glad they did it, was kind of unfair to the upper single digit set as then they had no pool. Have a look, what they did is perfectly ok, noone's being 'excluded', more like the toddler set now have a part of the Mickey pool all to themselves. The closer 'ear' is the toddler part.

It's a bit hard to see, but is that my kid????????????????????? Embarkation day...Mickey pool....my kids favorite time to catch the pool!

Diana Lyn, here is a current picture of him so Julia con recognize him. We are going on the 22nd, and getting AP's. Since we will have the time before the cruise left on the AP's, we will do the week before the cruise. The question is where to stay...

513026785_08-M.jpg

We will probably stay at BWV (200pts left there) or BCV (114 points left there). I want a 1 BR for the 3 of us... I like the extra room. This way I can book the room first without borrowing (then borrow for the cruise....

Oh, MARKRG, Yes, it has happened... I actually BANKED 5 pts this year!!!!! Mr. Point Deficit Spending has BANKED POINTS!!! We had broken up our upcoming stay into 1 night BCV, and the rest at SS (for the 11 month window and the points I had available) and changed it to all nights at SS, I had 5 points left over (the difference in price between BCV and SS) That I banked!!!. I still have more borrowed from next year, but I did bank some points!!!. I also found out something, if you have multiple contracts you must specify which one you want to bank the points to if you are doing it in conjunction with a ressie like this.....

Yup, that's Nick, and here's KT, they had it all to themselves, and why we took those two pics on our way to the embarkation buffet. Fullsize pics are on the CD in the exchange :)

We did call out to them so I think they knew we were taking their picture. They will be on the CD, but if you want them sooner let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.

Ian is a cutie! Julia is the little one on the right in my sig picture, so tell Ian he'll have a friend at Flounders and at the Mickey pool! On this last member cruise there was only like a handful of kids under 3, so it made Flounder's availablity great. And I have to say neither one of my girls even noticed the fact that they couldn't go into the big Mickey Pool. Both were content with the fountain and had a really great time every time they went in.
