Last day of school today -- 2 hours and the kids will be here under my feet all summer. :scared: Sleeping until noon, staying up until well past midnight, throwing my routine off, begging to go here and there, and of course, that all comes with a pricetag as well. Something tells me it's going to be a LONG summer around here. And, then come August, I'll be saying just how quiet and lonely it truly is with them back in school. :sad1:

Nick's last full day is the 15th then just half days from the 18th thru 21st till his summer break!

You won't believe this - well, at least, I still don't believe this! Karen and I decided to book the return of the Magic from the Med last night. We had so much fun on our last trip that, yup, you're reading that we are doing it again - we are bring the Magic home from the Med in August!!! Am I nuts or what???

I am jealous!!!! I think we might have an addict in our mist. :thumbsup2

Nick's Last day is tomorow. Grandpa is coming over in the morning so Nick can ride the bus to school for the last day. A buddy of his told him that she will park down the street and let them be walkers for the day. I told Nick he is full of it... the driver would lose her JOB!...

We will be a AKV for 2 days while you bums are on the cruise. We have a studio savannah view. BUT by looking at the MAP the worst view you could have for standard is the POOL.

Where did the ghost of Curt go?????

How did the Tigers do last night? All I know is we are 2 1/2 up over ya!

GO CAVS!

Sorry about that, I think I scared him away.

This morning I received a call from a grandmother of one of Cameron's friends asking if by some slim chance, Cameron might be available to take 4 free tickets to the White Sox off their hands tonight. :dance3: So, we cancelled out on Cameron playing for the Little League Pirates tonight and made plans for Gary to drive him down into Chicago. Still having 2 free tickets, I sent Curt a message asking if they were interested in driving on over for a White Sox game. :rolleyes1 Lucky for Cameron, he found a friend who could go tonight, so he didn't have to suffer through the game with Die Hard Tiger Fans. ;)

We're just back from try-outs for travel soccer with Walker. 16 boys tried out, 12 will make the team. :scared: The coach was suppose to make a decision in 48 hours but decided instead that he'd rather have another try-out session. I'm not sure my nerves can handle it. :sad2: I think I'd rather have it over with now than to have to wait now, for the next try-out on Monday and then yet another 48 hours for him to make his decision.

Erin, what are your November plans?

Hey, want to share a Grand Villa for Sunday night? It's only 73 points! party:

If you end up staying Sunday and Monday night we could do it. Otherwise I don't want to have to check out of the GV and into a 1 bedroom for 1 night. I can't imagine keeping the GV for the second night for just me, John and Deanna.

Hey, if you and I get the Master bedroom where will John and Gary sleep? :rotfl2:

Hey, I have a better idea, you guys come up to my house after your cruise and stay and help get my Christmas decorations up. You can each do a tree and the guys can help with the outside lights!!!

Hi Curt and Karen. It was nice to meet you last week.

Carol

Well it looks like you have that all worked out! Didn't I come down one other time at Thanksgiving and help with your decorations? Hey, we could trade, I'll do your decorations and then you can come up here and put up my trees and decorations. :yay:

Congrats...Let us know how you like it, we are booked in a Savannah view for 12/29-1/4. Its our 1st time for NYE!

I've always wanted to go to WDW for NYE. Check with Jeff, I think he was there this past NYE and he might have some inside tips of where to go or better yet, where to stay away from.

I know you bought points at AKV, but did you get the mailing they sent out a week or so ago? It has drawings of what the rooms look like - can't wait to see them in person.

Are you telling our secrets again?

Nothing could compare to the sleeping arrangements we had for our girls trip in January. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Absolutely nothing!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I tell you, next girls trip, I'm booking the room and we're having Diana & Amy sleep backwards on the pull out bed!

:lmao:

We've done NYE at the World before. Way back when in 1994 my Dad decides "Hey let' be at Disney for NYE 1999-2000" So we did!
We had reservations 6 years in advance and were at Epcot that night and it was wall to wall people. We had a blast!

OK, I deserve that!!! :rotfl2: Actually, it's only fair that you guys get the actual bed next time! Then, Diana and I can take pictures of YOU GUYS sleeping!!:lmao:

Well, I was just repeating what I heard you say as to how Gail & I ended up on that "thing"!! :lmao:

Be careful, girlfriend, I still have those pictures. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

When we were at BCV a few weeks ago, our room had one of those new pull outs in it and it was quite comfortable, so we'll be staying there next time! ;)

We were at WDW on NYE this past year too. We had planned to meet up with Jeff for a late supper, but unfortunately it didn't work out. We went to the studios and I know that Jeff was there too because he wanted to see Sorcery in the Sky since they only present it twice a year now (NYE and July 4). We left before the fireworks though because it was wall to wall people and it was just crazy! Plus Ken was driving to Ft. Myers the next day and wanted to get a decent night's sleep. The CM's did give everyone free noise makers and NYE hats though.

This year I will be at BWV for New Year's with the family so I don't know exactly what I'll be doing that night. Last year MGM was open until 3AM with EMH, Epcot until 1AM and MK until 2AM both for anyone (no EMH). I did MGM for the Fireworks and EMH. It was very crowded but not as bad as I had expected. Sure, in front of the Sorcerer's Hat and probably up Sunset Boulevard were packed as they set up a stage and have dance music and a live band rotating 1/2 hour segements from either 8 or 9PM until Midnight. I sat on some boxes that were hiding the garbage bins just to the left of Keystone Clothiers and had a fantastic view. The walkway in front of me didn't fill up until about 5-10 minutes before Midnight and as soon as the fireworks were done the whole crowd left the park. It was a ghost town with walk-ons for everything except RnR which was going down January 2nd (I don't ride ToT so I can't comment on that one). The Osborne Spectacle of Lights had noone around about 2AM so I got great pics and video. Also, they do 3 Fantasmic shows that night, 6:30, 8:30 and 10:30.

The park hours were released today and it shows AK as the EMH. I think they will add MGM to get people away from MK and EC. MK parking lot was closed by Noon, rumor was 10:30AM and MK was closed around 2-2:30. I didn't hear anything about EC.

We have Max and Erma's around here in Michigan - not too bad a place to eat - it's something like Applebee's to me.

Good morning everyone!!! And, welcome to hurricane season. It officially started yesterday, and low and behold, we have Tropical Storm Barry giving us LOTS of rain!! Thankfully, that's really all that it's bringing is rain, some isolated tornados and not much wind. And, we REALLY needed the rain down here with all of these brush fires!! They're saying that it'll be cleared out by later this afternoon/early evening, thank goodness. I'm just hoping that we keep our power, so we can keep the girls busy since we have to stay inside all day.:scared1:

Barry was a wimp. We were in MK on Friday for the EMH and with ponchos in hand, stayed until closing. We were able to walk onto everything in Fantasyland and the girls walked on and off BTMRR three times in a row with zero wait. And riding Tomorrowland Speedway in the rain is fun!
