We got back tonight from LA LA land. Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica is beautiful. Amanda had a better time than I did because she got to do more, like the tour of stars homes. I did see 50 cent (the rapper) outside our hotel in Hollywood and Bob Saget (from Full House at Social resturant). Drove through the mountains and it was great. Disneyland was fun. Can do both parks in one day we found out. It wasn't very busy at all.

OMG I'm so jealous---I LOVE 50 Cent. Yes, I confess, my guilty pleasure is rap music. Sounds like you had a lot fun!

Just popping in for a quick minute...I see you guys have been busy this weekend. This is the first time that I have checked email, and been online since Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday Tim had a Spinal Lumbar puncture, that has caused a lot of greif since. They had trouble locating the fluid, so there was 3 puntures, and sicne he has had an unbearable headache. He did go home on Wednesday, to wake up that evening with the worst headache he has ever had. We called the surgeon who performed the procedure, and he said to lie flat, and if the pain was still there return to the hospital on Friday afternoon, and they would do what is called a epidural blood patch, this is where they go back into the spine, and insert your blood in the hopes that it will clot, and seal the leaking spinal fluid.
So we go back to the hospital on Friday afternoon, and hes prepped for the blood patch. We are in the surgical waiting area, and the dr comes out, and explains the risks, and complications...100% of people have some sort of back pain that can last up to 30 days, 20% develop infection from reinserting your blood into the spine, 1-2% the headaches increase because they re-puncture the spinal fluid sack. So the Dr, says we have one other option, and that is to stay in the hospital on pain meds, and wait it out, most of the time the pain subsides within 7 days of the puncture. We both decide to wait. So he is admitted to the hospital at this point. And has been there since.
He was scheduled again for the blood patch on monday, and then his Dr's consulted with another Dr, and decided after the complications with the spinal, they would not do it, and would just let him wait it out. I have been at the hospital, night and day since(Thank God for my parents, they have had the girls). Today was my 1st day back to work, his dad is sitting with him today. The pain has subsided about 40-50% for him since last night. He is able to sit up, a little now, and is getting better. Hopefully he will go home on Friday. I just hate to see him in all this pain. Well, I have a mound of work to catch up on, and have no energy, or desire to do it, so I had better get to it, so I can head back to hospital and check on Tim.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday, and the rest of the week.

Oh Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about the problems Tim has been having. Lots of pixiedust: and prayers that he is feeling 100% real soon. I think I would have chosen the wait it out method too!

Keep us posted on how he is doing.

Ok, I'm catching up!!

All I can say is she's adorable, and I'm sure that she's a precious addition to your family!!!

Wow, sorry for the rain for the campers this past weekend!! Here's to hoping that the next camp out won't be rained out!!!

Sounds like you had a good time!!! Some day we want to make our way to DL, probably when the girls are a little older and can handle the trip from FL to CA (unless DCL heads over to CA again, then we'll go that way).

Anyone else excited for the big Pirates premiere this weekend?
We are, but we probably won't be going to the movies until my mom gets here in early June. It just gets to expensive to get a sitter, so we'll wait until we can take advantage of the "free" babysitter!!!:rotfl2:

We are!! pirate:

And the bonus is it's playing at the drive in and the weather is supposed to be warm enough to actually go!! We've wanted to see Spider man but last weekend was a wash out, cold dreary mess. The drive in is the only way we get to see movies because we don't have a babysitter and the girls can just lay in the back of the car in their sleeping bags and watch their own movie while we watch! :cool1:
That's a great idea! Only problem for us is that the nearest drive-in is quite a ways away, so with the high gas prices, I'd pay a small fortune to get there!!!

Wow Tina!!!! I sure hope that Tim is feeling better soon!!! Prayers and pixie dust that he's back to normal quickly!!!:wizard:

Tina - prayers and pixie dust for Tim. Here's hoping he's feeling better and up and around soon.

I know Cameron was tickled pink when he did! Good luck, Nick!

Thanks for the pixie dust!
I believe our Scout Master wants all the boys in his patrol to achieve both rnks so he will be pushing for that to happen I imagine.
