btw one comment i wanted to make was I can't believe how many people signed up for the lottery and are not going to do it due to price/cost. I'm hoping DVC might call a few of us repeaters.

That really doesn't surprise me because it has happened on just about every member cruise. Some are all excited about it until the see the points or see the cost and then they back away. It would be helpful if more people read the fine print before entering the lottery. Maybe it will be a good thing for the rest of us if they do get a lot of "no thank you" on booking day.

While I would love to get a call offering me space on the ship I don't see them calling repeaters because they wouldn't know which ones to call and as shown by not on this thread but a number of others many who have sailed before don't want to do another Member Cruise.

Shop till you drop friends but please give the poor schmuck with the nametag 30 seconds of recognition and a smile.

(Soapbox slid back under the table)

I made sure the manager at Circuit City (our first stop at 5am)was complimented for the organization and helpfulness of his employees.

We had a busy day yesterday - we didn't get home until about 1:45 AM this morning. We were going to get up for the 5 AM sales but decided sleeping was a better choice. We did go to the Scrapbook store. They were having 30% off everything from 10 AM to noon. I got my book for the CJ :woohoo:
I went to ACMoore with a 60%coupon and got the Fiskars shape cutter. Then I went to Michaels with the 60% coupon and got the alphabet template for it.
Total spent $12 instead of $30

We started out at 4:15, circuit city was first where we got the 1G SD card, 1G thumbdrive and some dvd's. then we went to Bob's where we had a 30%OFF coupon that could be used with a $10 off coupon..plan was to get crocs but they exempted them. DD wound up with a small umbrella for her trip to London for .70!!! Then we went to Sears, dd wanted Apollo 13 but they didn't have it :-( and then to Game Stop for Mario 64 for Nintendo DS. Then we went to the local outlets and it was a ZOO! Didn't get anything but had fun. Had breakfast out at Friendlys...wasn't what we got it's a bonding thing with DD and her bestfriend and me.

Oh I also saved $70 rebooking her winter break flights home with DING...gotta love it!

Stacy, I can't believe you've shopped and are back already. :thumbsup2

I only picked up a few things
JcPenney's for my free Disney snowglobe and I bought a shirt for Nick
Stopped at Kohl's to get the Magic Bullet Blender since they had it $20 cheeper then anyone but the lines were nuts so then we waited for Linens & Things to open to get the Remote control Dinoraptor for Nick, a digital picture frame for my MIL since she lives in North Carolina now and got the blender there using a 20% off coupon.
We were home by 6:30am, took a little nap then off to work!

CJ question:
I've been looking at some of the pgs on the peasinabucket site. How do you get the type, journaling etc on the page? I know this sounds silly but do you run the background through your printer, do you use transfer paper or what?
It doesn't seem like you could do anything but run it through the paper but if the paper is only 8x8 how do you run it through and get it to come out on the page where you want it? Please bare with my silly questions even if they seem obvious while I try to figure this all out. Thanks.

A nice mix of both relaxing and productive day here.

We have all the decorations down from the attic and the tree is up.

We have two tours booked for Hawaii. One is the Home of the Brave tour (going to the Arizona). The other is the Explorers tour of the USS Missouri. With this one you get to go down into the engine room and machine shop. Mark is going to love that. We are doing the first on Monday and the second on Tuesday. Wednesday we'll be planning a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Thursday we'll be booking a snorkeling excursion near the resort.

Different people do it different ways. Most of the pages I did for the circle journal I did totally digital so I had the journaling as part of that. I printed it out of 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper and then trimmed it to the size of the journal.

Other people will do journaling on a separate paper and then add it to the pages in a layering effect.

I do my journaling a few different ways. Most of the time, I print it out on plain paper, to see how it looks, then I print it on the cardstock that I'm going to use. Then, I trim it to the size that I want and paste it on the page. Sometimes I print it onto transparency sheets and then put them over patterened paper.

I think it's been a little too long since I've posted!!

We're back home after a crazy two days. I got up at 5am yesterday to buy the Plasma TV and two DVD players from Circuit City.com and I've been spending money ever since! :lmao: I never got to sleep last night at all because once I layed down Julia threw up all over herself, the bed, etc. So after I got her all cleaned up, calmed down it was 2am.....about 2:30 Emma did the same thing. So at 4am I got in the shower and was online at 5am to buy my stuff on Walmart.com. Target in Jersey didn't open til 6am, so I was out the door at 5:40 to Target where the line stretched from the door down the side of the building and completely around the back. It was the craziest thing and the people were lunatics. I have bruises on the back of both ankles from being rammed with the shopping carts. Note to self--people in Hackensack,NJ are serious about their Target bargains. I was out of the store by 6:20 when I went to Kohls, they didn't open til 7am. (Jersey is a weird place) Then I hit AC Moore and was back at Dad's by 8:30 where I picked up my sister and cousin and Emma (Em and J were both fine when they woke up) and went to the mall and hit the Disney Store <----BEST Bargains found here! and Old Navy. Went back home again to grab Bruce and Julia and went to IKEA  . Then headed right from IKEA to the IMAX theater to see Happy Feet (cute) and then drove home. We got here about 7pm :faint: I've been up since 5am yesterday.....and fading fast.

Happy Thanksgiving Friends!!

ps - awesome seats, Jeff!

No BLACK Friday for us! Our after Thanksgiving tradition is driving DD to Grandma's house for a sleep over while DH, myself and some friends go wine tasting. We had a great day! Bought almost a case of wine and went out to PF Chang's for dinner.Tomorrow we will head out to my sister's because the "BOYS" are going to play with their paint ball guns while the ladies do some shopping.
Sunday we might take out some decorations. We will see if DD has to have a tree then we will put one up. Since we are heading to WDW for Christmas I could really pass on a lot of home decorating this year. We shall see!

I had to exchange the original tiara yesterday when we went to WDW. I realized when I took it out of the bag that the top stone was gone and completely bent out of shape. Anyway, I got a new one yesterday and I'll be sending it to you this week. You did send me your address. The tiara was $8 + tax, so around $8.50.

Good morning everyone! Today will be decorating day for us. Ho Ho Ho!

Morning all! It's 25 degree here this morning, I'm going to send Bruce out first thing to get the outside lights done.:cold: He asked me yesterday if they put Santa's and sleighs out in Florida, of course they do dear, but we decided we want a decorated palm tree on the lanai. :lmao: I figure if I send him out in 25 degree weather to do the lights--we'll be SO moving to Florida very very soon!!! :cool1:

I'm going to try to do our decorating today too. If we don't get it done this weekend, we won't be able to until the week before Christmas.
