Is anyone else shopping Black Friday? If so, is anyone else shopping for an LCD or Plasma widescreen HDTV and if yes which model do you feel is best and why? I've looked at some of the ads online and am not sure which make is the best and which should be avoided. Any help is appreciated.

I'm glad you aren't going to be in Jersey for Black Friday because I'd hate to have to beat up someone I know to get a Plasma TV!! :lmao:

No seriously, we've looked and researched and looked some more. As far as deals go, it really depends on how big a TV you want. We're hoping to get the 50" Panasonic from Circuit City. We printed out all the TVs in Best Buy, Circuit City and Walmart and then went shopping last weekend to check them all out.

If you're looking for a 42" the Panasonic from Circuit City is available on their website now for the BF price of $1299. From what I understand, that's a good deal and it's a great TV AND it's free delivery AND you don't have to beat anyone up for it.

CC's ad says most items avail on Thanksgiving Day at CC.com so I'm hoping this TV is and I don't have to deal with the people.

We looked into the 42" Panasonic and it is a good TV. For us, it was between the Hitachi and the Panasonic and we basically chose the Hitachi because it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper at the time.

Wow! That sounds neat. We only got a small magnet of Goofy. :sad2: Could someone post a picture of the puzzle?

Thanks.

Um we received 2 - count em - 2 survival packs and both were the CD and both CDs arrived in small pieces. Hmm wonder if DVC tried to pass off our survey to DCL ;)

Checking in from my sick bed - finally went to the dr since I wasn't getting better on my own. Seems I have asthmatic bronchitis so I got 2 shots while in the office and 2 scripts with orders to go home to bed til Wed morning. I have to tell you, I was already going crazy with very little energy, too much bed rest, and drinking fluids til I could float!
This morning, at least, I am not hacking my brains out - ribs are still a bit sore but I think I am on the mend. Will try and rest up some more today and then I hope I can get ready for Turkey Day and get to packing up for my trip next week. :moped:

Hope everyone has a nice holiday and be careful out there shopping with the crazies on Friday - I'm not sure if I will be out there!

You better stay away from all the crazies Friday if you want to get better!

I may venture out to the Target in NJ near my brother's house. I have my extra 10% off for a day of shopping that expires on Fri. Coupled with my 10% Team Member discount and the sale, I may not be able to resist fighting the crowds for some bargains

I only got the magnet this time, too.

We received the CD. It was in one piece too! I guess I will have to listen to it in DH's new Explorer.

Amy I mailed off our photo DVD today and 3 blank DVD's. I even included a pre-paid self addressed return envelope so all you have to do is drop them back into the mail when Chris is finished.

Thank you Chris for taking on this big job.

I remember when we were researching TVs, Consumer's Reports was very high on the Panasonic 42".

Thanks for the all the advice on the TVs. I was considering the Olevia 32" LCD HDTV from Circuit City Friday morning for $500 or the Sanyo 42" Plasma from Walmart for $988 but will go look tonight because I may find a better deal tonight and won't have to fight the crowds while buying the TV. I can then concentrate on buying all the other deals on Friday. :teeth: . The only one that I didn't consider was the 50" Panasonic from Circuit City because that may be a little too big both for my car and my apartment.

I know Linda (seaulater) received the puzzle after the 11 night cruise. You might want to contact her and see if she has a picture.

Or, Steve could put his together and take a picture of it for us ;)

We got ours yesterday and it had the magnet in it.

With the puzzle, they put a picture of what it's supposed to look like. Maybe I can scan it tonight for you guys.

Mail came today, and we received Mark & Mary's photos.

Take the plastic off the magnetic page. Creative Memories and I'm sure the scrapbook stores sell a paper that has a protective barrier that you can put over the sticky part and then use the paper as your background paper. If you have any other questions, just pm Carol (scrappy910) and maybe she can explain it a little better.

The scrapbook store near here is having a 30% off everything on Friday between 10 and noon. I think I will go over and check on getting an album for the CJ.:Pinkbounc
I had thought about doing that too. I was going to see if I can find scrapbook refill pages first that might fit before I do something with my book.

We had almost 4000 pictures last year on the compilation dvd and this year so many more people are doing it
