Rose, how is your ankle feeling? What a strange thing to have happened to you. I hope it's feeling better now. pixiedust:

Not strange when you are as much of a klutz as I am. I broke the other ankle tripping up a curb at DixieLandings about 10 years ago. It's much better now though. Thanks for asking. But the doctor checking my ankle told me I had Plantar Fasciitis in my right heel. I can't catch a break with my feet lately.

I don't know if I mentioned I'm doing one of Diana's boxes to the theme of "Under the Sea" (I think) where each flap takes a different verse and has a picture that goes with it. I hope it comes out well but I don't think I have a picture for each stanza so I may fudge it and leave out a few.

I can't wait to see it!!

I just logged on to say I've set my pics finally.

Julie, the pics you've posted are fantastic! What a great day and a wonderful start to a long, loving life together.

I had a real easy time when I was pregnant with Ian and so far this is about the same, with a few bouts of queasiness but nothing more. I'm hoping the next 6 months are as smooth. I have a heartbeat monitor around here somewhere and if I can find it we'll be able to listen whenever we want.

And thanks for the idea. By the time this baby is due Ian will be almost 2 1/2. He loves babies and we're working on counting now, so by then this might be a really cool thing to do with him.

My pleasure. It's so much nicer when the sibling-to-be can participate in the happy event.

Julie -

What beautiful pictures. I love the fact that you rode RnR in your dress....
Now that is a picture you do not see everyday.

Julie,Your wedding pictures are awesome!:woohoo: Looks like everyone had a great time!

Mike and I love the Rock and Roller Coaster picture! Can't wait to see the others!:hyper:

Mary,Karen and I had our first scrapping class tonight. It was fun. I came home with 2 finished pages and 2 almost done.

Karen's came out really good.:cheer2:

Mary wasn't feeling well. So she didn't get some of hers done. Get better Mary!:wizard:

Delurking again: I am. I didn't get in on the coffee but am waiting for the toothbrush. I have the nicorette gum sitting at work but no one will try it.

We had a great time on the cruise. I didn't spend much time with you betwen the people I was travelling with and spraining my ankle within hours of getting on the ship. But it was nice to run into some of you so often.
Rose - where are you in Philly? DS goes to St. Joe's.

Julie - Thanks for sharing the pictures. You look beautiful! I love the little cakes.

On another note, thanks for sending the youtube link. I was in tears watching that! My aunt lost a child due to a car seat/seat belt problem so that really hit home.

I was thinking about this tonight as I sat at Cub Scouts. I think it might be a good idea to make reservations for lunch for the Chicago get together in December. That would be Saturday, 12/2.

I'm willing to do the calling -- I just need to confirm the place (Amy, I'm thinking Gino's was your choice, is that right???) Being this all started with your coming up here, Amy & Chris, I think it's only fair that we go to your restaurant of choice :) .

If you could reply here so I can get any idea of who to expect, that would be great. Also, do we have a timeframe in mind? How many of us are staying at the hotel Friday night? Are we planning on shopping at Archivers in the morning pre-lunch?

I just think with the holidays coming it's best to plan ahead. ::yes::

So, who's all in???

I think Stacy won't reply until she is home from work as you know she's busy brow beating people for their tax dollars :rotfl2: lol

However, I do know that Mr Curt is good at keeping his promises!
Reply taken care of!!!!
I'm not afraid! He can post away!

Hey all you Cricut Owner Wanna-be's, I was in Joann's today and saw they have the machines on sale for $189.99, cartiges for $57.99, and accessories 30% off. The salesperson I spoke with said that the sale price is at all Joann's and that they will be priced this way at least through the holidays. Just thought I'd pass on that bit of info if you're considering a purchase ;)...

One more Circle Journal thing - if any of you live close together, please let me know. I'm going to be trying to start to create the order in which the CJs will travel the U.S. and I want to try to keep those that live near each other in order. That way, some of you can save on shipping and have some mini-DIS meets.

I know that Stacy & Diana are close, because we did that last year for the CJ. Also, I know that Cindy & Mary are close too, and I think that Tina and Steve are also in the Chicago area. Anyone else??? I know that there are some MI people that are pretty close too, along with a few of us Floridians. Let me know, so I can start to make the list.

We're up to 22 participants. Welcome to the group, Chris (sanddune)!!!

Sandy and I live 2 hours south of Diana, so we are "close by".

Sandy, Don't you live in NY state? I was in NY state visiting friends who just moved there. They live in Chester so I travelled up Route 17 to the thruway and back onto Route 17 in NY state (for those who don't live there, I know it sounds confusing and really is when you're trying to follow directions). The drive was a little over an hour because of construction on 17 in NJ by Sharp Plaza. We'll have to get together the next time I'm up. BTW, when is that NY meet I saw someone post about?

Tina and I showing up on the boards is purely coincidental as Cindy has already posted. I had my catch-up post written on a post-it note last night but was too tired/lazy to type it in and waited until today.

Hi Jeff. Sandy and I live within walking distance to NY. If you were on Route 17 by Sharp Plaza, you were 5 minutes to our house! We'd love to see you next time you drive by our area.

Diana Lyn said:
Bad construction and could you tell if it was a long term thing? I'm going through there on Wed or Thursday. Going North or South? I may have to plan an alternate route.

Route 17 North usually backs up at rush hour by Sharp Plaza. Going South, I am not aware of any construction at this time. I pass by quite often.

Walker & I just finished up his PTA Sponsored project. This years theme was "My Favorite Place" and our goal was to do this based on the cruise and Walker's pictures. Most of his pictures from the cruise didn't turn out so well, so we still went with that theme, just a little different angle to it. We took all the pictures Walker took by himself and then he sorted through and decided which ones he wanted to use. The size requirement was predetermined as well as the exclusion of any copy written material or characters (no tick-toc from the Club. much to Walker's disappointment). Per the rules, Walker did most of the work himself. Here's how it turned out:

I apologize that it has taken me a while to get some photos together of our reception location.

The wedding was at the Yacht Club Gazebo and then we took our guests on a lovely walk down the yacht club pier out to the friendshp boats where we boarded our own private boat for the trip over to mgm.

We had our violinist lead us down there and then Matt and I stood at the entrance to the boat and greeted everyone - you can see our violinist in this photo playing he was amazing!

Here are a few shots on the boat - one taken by friends and 2 I took lol:

Then we exited the boat, headed through security at MGM (wow did this take a while) and up the exit ramp into Fantasmic onto the 2 back patios :)

For some reason I have no photos of this area and haven't been emailed any lately. Curt/Karen or Stacy/Jeff anyone anyone?

After the show then we waited for the stadium to clear and headed down to our next stop....

Can you guess where we are????

Does this give you a clue?

ridephotophoto.jpg

This was our dream - to incorporate Rockn Roller coaster into our wedding reception and we did! Yes, I rode in my dress and loved every minute of it!

We then had drinks in the courtyard

after we were told the space was ready we continued our journey on to dinner by walking through the park - JUST AMAZING to walk in an empty park with your closest friends and family

Here is where we ended up

We had dinner (again I don't have photos of any food at this point), dancing, characters cake and FUN!

Here are some things that went on:

There appears to be a line for the signature mat... recognize anyone?
