How do all of you qualify for a flu shot? After I had the flu earlier this year, I mentioned to my own doctor that I wanted to get a flu shot come fall. He then told me that I don't qualify as I'm not old enough to be in the "at risk" area. I then reminded him that not only do I have school aged kids of my own, but I work with little kids everyday and he said, I still don't qualify. His feeling is that unless I meet the guidelines (which I believe are age 55??) then he won't allow me to have it because having the flu for me shouldn't be life threatening.

I tell you, though, when I had the flu, I felt more terrible than I have in a long, long time. Maybe not life threatening, but definately miserable.

Cindy - look into gdetting a new doc!! There is no shortages of the vacine this time, so there should be NO REASON for your doc to tell you no. It's not just about "life threatening" - it's about maintaining0 good health. For example, you catch the flu - potentially it passes to the rest of your brood or to the day care kids OR since your sick you shut down for a few days. So your off work (and losing money), Gary misses work cause he's sick, Cameron & Walker miss school. Not to mention your clients are scrambling for other arrangements while your shut down... NIGHTMARE!! Get the shot/mist, there are other places where you can get them free (call the health department). If your DOC is in an office with several others that are partnered up - go to one of them or ask the lead physician. To tell you - sorry you dont qualify is a LOAD OF BUNK (insert other words here - DISNEY)

Well I got my pictures back that I took while on the Banana Boat and wanted to share a few of them. I will be including all the pictures on the picture swap.

Great pictures...but I can't figure out what happened to me! IIRC I was in between Deanna and Gail, but it looks like no one is there. Maybe I wandered off into the Twilight Zone for that brief moment!

There is someone in front of Deanna. The arm there, at first glance, looks like it belongs to Deanna, but then if you look closely, she already has an arm.

I know, I know. You were leaning so far to the right trying to get away from me that you moved yourself right out of the picture!

I loved the banana boat but I would never do it again unless I did it with a group of friends. Between being scared to death, at times, we were rather close together trying to keep from falling off (lean to the middle!!!!!! ) that it did become a little intimate.

And.....I never did get a glimpse of Tina's color changing toe nail polish.

Yep - We'll be there! Me, positively. Curt has gotten the okay to leave work at 2pm, barring any bad guy interruptions, so he'll make it for dinner, anyway. I'm not sure how late we'll be able to hang out at the hotel afterwards, though. Curt has to be at work at 6am on Sunday, and I have a client, a meet with a new client, and plans to meet my best friends Mom (who is dying of cancer...) on Sunday. Not much going on here!

(BTW - Don't let Curt see that you spelled his name with a "K"!)

Ok, Good Morning DISers, Caught up now and on the same sheet of music. Just some last comments on past topics.

(Michigan)Mary, the scrapper store is on Morton Taylor near Joy (In the same complex with Farmer Jack, just facing Morton Taylor). Karen knows the name of the store, but I too was very impressed with the ladies in there -- vey helpful and possessed about scrapping. I asked one to explain the bennies of a "cry cut" (I know spelled diff but that is how I pronounced it) and I was answered with a very nice 20minute discussion of the "CRICKET" and comparsions of other machines... Like Karen said we were in there an hour, had Stacy on the phone and HAD HER talking about ordering from there. Good store.

Tom & Ann Marie - YEA!! Bring the kids! Love those little cheeseballs! (BTW Deanna, Walker and Cameron also fall into this same catagory. Don't remember Erin's Nick, but then he prob avoided me when he saw what a terror I was on poor Cameron.) Great kids!

Diana, volunteer to help Stacy collect food and then once you have her in the car, don't stop till you cross the bridge. Get gas in Toronto and tell her that she's on her own getting back into the US if she tries to get away ("What?? I don't know this crazy woman?!?!?!?")

Lets, see -- Scrapping, cool kids, kidnapping -- Yup all bases covered. Have a great day all!!!!

Yeah - I guess I'm in officially! I even found the album that I want to use! I found an awesome scrapbooking store right around the corner from me. It's owned by sisters, and they spoke to us for an hour today without me buying a thing. The have a beginners class for $15... Chris? Mary? (I figured that Gail and Ann Marie wouldn't want to make the trek to Canton. ) We could have lots of fun together! I just need to send Amy a PM now.

And YAY! that Ann Marie and her crazy crew are coming to dinner! I just asked Curt about you guys on Wednesday night, and was sad when he said that you weren't coming. I'm sad no more!!!

Karen that sounds great! I'm going to need a lot of help.When does the class start?

Great pictures Diana! Looks like you guys had a great time. Where you got off your jet skis for the mid-way stop was it the location with the trees etc? That is different than what we did in May. We stopped on a sand bar.

Yeah, we could not go to the sand bar due to weather or winds or something ... lol I think it was Diana and the shark

Also thought I should mention that Baby Christopher is fighting a nasty cold or is it teething - the poor guy is so congested and stuffed up and with that lil' nose it's been a rough day - I went over and took care of him tonight for a while so his parents could go out and take a break. Sure hope he's feeling better for the meet coming up on Saturday.

Hope hes feeling better real soon! I have been incredibly lucky and my girls dont get sick often...

I already told her we could tell the scout she received a call for a big pick up and was traveling to get it! It didn't work. I tried, guys, I really, really did.

Not to beat a dead horse, and I'm gonna vent here instead of on the other threads around which are just bound to get ugly as time progesses. I was reviewing the cash prices for SSMC07, I'm not considering going, I'm just curious. On SSMC06 I paid $117 for Julia and $1008 for me cash and points for Bruce and Emma in a Cat 11. If we were to book SSMC07 cash price would be $1010 for me. OK $2, no big deal. And $177.95 for Julia. (Based on the idea that she'll be 2, which she won't but just for comparision) How can they charge an extra $60 for a kid under two from one year to the next? And don't tell me it's that cute new Mickey hat fountain area! Who is crunching those numbers because the cost increase ratio is WAY off!

Thats alot, I would think the price increase would either be for adults or even across the boards...
