OK - Don't you guys have anything better to do but stare at a computer all day??? I'm over 100 pages behind! I was trying to catch up but gave up.

We enjoyed our trip to Latham, NY. We went to Howe Caverns on Saturday and Liberty Farm's corn maze on Sunday. On the way home from the maze I saw a sign that said Clifton Park 5 miles, Schenectady 16 miles and thought of Stacey and Diana. Kind of weird because I have never even actually met you yet, but thought of you while on vacation, kinda weird.

Then.........
DH started having pains on his tailbone area Sunday evening. He was in terrible pain all night so we left as early as possible on Monday and made it home in time to get to our Dr. He has something called a pilonidal cyst that has a really bad infection. After wondering all last night if we would even be able to go on vacation, the general surgeon gave us the go ahead after he tortured my husband cutting it open and cleaning it out. He is a hurting puppy right now. He is on 2 antibiotics and pain meds. The one antibiotic makes him sick to his stomach so he is going to call his doc tomorrow to see if it can be changed. We go for a recheck next Tuesday and leave for vacation on Thursday.
My nephew is doing well after being stitched up. Thanks for the pixie dust.

Sorry for all the milestones I missed commenting on but some of us have to work to pay for our vacations. And just to add to the challange, the auditors are at my work for the next two weeks and I have to get the October bills together before next Wednesday so I can't try to catch up while I'm at work.

I'll check in when I can. Thanks in advance for any pixie dust and prayers coming our way.

Chris

PS Our docs arrived over the weekend, my Mom called to let us know they were here and safe from the rain - woo hoo

Yikes, Chris. That doesn't sound like it was a pleasant experience for your DH. I hope he's feeling better today.

Glad to hear your nephew is on the mend. :thumbsup2

I'm still happy sitting at number 11, Squid is burning up the net, and Tina is sprinkling the pixie dust and rocketing up from the rest of the pack.

Well night all. Next movie cap will be up in the morning.

I'll have you know, I'm trying to cut back on my posting so Amy will pass me up.

It doesn't look like it's working. No matter how still my fingers stay. :guilty:

Mary,
Congrats on the 20000, that is truly amazing!

Scrapbookers,
Here is my finished can, unless I decide to varnish it somehow and change the straws when I find red ones. I guess it's not too bad for a first try, it
is what I envisioned except I didn't have a tool to make the yellow and black ovals so I just did them freehand and they are a little jagged around the edges but I'm ok with it. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think that you did a FABULOUS job!!!

Okay, so I'm 21 pages behind (that's what going to work does to you) but I had to share my exciting news!! I won the trivia contest on the MouseTunes podcast!! The question was NOT Disney related, but I still was shocked to hear my name announced as I was listening to the podcast in the car this morning! My prize is a WDW Trivia book!
:cool1: CONGRATULATIONS on your win!!! :cool1:

Ok, let me just say that I'm not sure that I'm right, but here's what I do.

Travel Agent - I just put Disney
For Date of Arrival - I put 10/23 since that's the first day that we're there
For # of nights - I put 0, since we're not staying in the Bahamas overnight

Like I said, I'm not sure that I'm right, but that's what I've always done for all 3 cruises.

Last month the CM at the terminal told us that you do not need to put anything in the Intended Stay (nights), Type of Accommodation or Hotel name. Those boxes are for visitors that are staying in the Bahamas.

Also, for the TA name I put our TA's name on John's and DCL on mine. She said that's fine, it doesn't matter.

Congratulations Gail on 2000 posts!

Also to get your day started in a Disney way. Ask for a wake-up call - Mickey will call to start your day for you!

IIRC, it's not the annoying Stitch version either (not Stacy ;) ):stitch2:

For nighttime wake up's they have the special Cindy call! :lmao:

Whoa....
Apparently some undercover cops went around before the OSU game on Saturday and picked up a bunch of underage drinkers. They were taken to jail, got the whole mug shot, fingerprinting, changing into prison clothes treatment.

When asked about the incident, OSU's president Karen A. Holbrook said, "In no way has the Ohio State University or me directed anyone ever to treat our students — or anyone — in this manner."

I'm sorry...in what manner? You mean in the manner of catching someone doing something illegal and following through???

I'd think that maybe this 10 hours in custody would teach a better lesson than ignoring the problem or giving a warning!

No wonder she is referred to as Karen ***** Brook :lmao:

I've always been told to never pack film in luggage. They use stronger X-ray machines there I think I remember. Carry on. I think film is ok. Worst will be they make you open up the canisters. (I had to do it in France at DeGaul airport and the canisters were clear.)

I second that. Never pack film in checked luggage. The x-ray machines that they use for checked luggage will ruin your film. Carry it on with you and you'll be okay.

The Fedex man came today! I love the DVC gift! It's really cute!

I went to the thrift store today.I bought one white 3/4 long sleeve shirt, one broom( black) skirt and one hot pink sash.I cut a v into the top of the shirt(looking for ribbon or sting to tie it back up),holes in the sleeves and fringed the bottom of the shirt and bottom of the sleeves.Left the black skirt as is. Sash is for my head. All of this cost just $5

I also bought my quilt fabric today. So all set on that too! It's been a good day!
Still no DVC gift here...Your costume sounds great!!!

Did anyone else get an e-mail from their guide with helpful hints for their upcoming visit?

Pretty cool that even included a link to click on and take a virtual tour of where we are staying.

This is the first time I've gotten this.
I got this last trip, but not this one yet!...I really enjoyed it!
