Ok, so I'm one of the last ones to get my docs and as I was reading them through, I realized that we don't get into CC until 10:30am on Monday. Is this new? Did we already know this?? We have the Stingray thing at 11am, and I'm thinking that we are really going to be pushing it to get to the other side of the island in 30 minutes with 2 little ones.

Hmm I didn't notice that at all Amy - but interesting!

Do you have a frame for it already? I got the idea from a friend that used engagement photos. She put the mat on top of the glass with the photos behind the glass for safety. This gave a nice surface to write on, kept the mat in good condition, and also prevented anyone from writing beyond the frame area. Just an idea, though heavier to carry. (But if you're shipping it ahead of time, maybe an option?)

Robin - we do have the frame, good idea! I am going to talk to Matt about it as we have a lot to ship and it could be $$$ :)

Diana,

Since I just went through this, this may help with Emma. Tyler (who just turned 4) did not really understand but told everyone we are going to heaven to visit out Skeeter this weekend. I tried to explain about heaven but he could just not get it and only felt worse when he thought that he could no longer visit his dog.

We wrote a short note to Skeeter and attached it to a helium balloon and let it go. We went to a field not very close to the house (I did not want the balloon stuck in a tree and he see it on his walk to school etc and think the dog was sending him back a note and really confuse him) and released it. I think that once he figured out the dog was not coming back, he really needed to do something like that.

My thoughts are with you

Jacqui

Jacqui that is such a great and sweet idea. I know Emma really doesn't understand because when she heard the garage door open she said Daddy's home with Penny. So I explained it all again....Penny was sick, she's not coming back. We don't have a dog anymore, but we need to love Alex (the cat) extra since Penny isn't here. (Sounds harsh doesn't it?) So then we sit down to eat dinner and she says Where's Penny's bowl? We went through it again. I guess time is the only think that will make her understand. I really can't wait to go on vacation.

Diana - our thoughts are with you today! Matt and I wish peace for all of you.

You can also use Blue Painter's Tape on the edges for the portion that will be under the frame and then no one will write on that portion of the mat.

My goodness - what a chatty group today! I tried to pop in and read when I could but I'm sure I missed a ton.

The blabbermouth of the day has to go to the shy one Steve! Congats on over 50 posts in one day and meeting your milestone! Must have been the Hooters pictures that helped!

Just thought I would pop on for a minute to say

My giclee just arrived!!! :yay:  :cool1: :cheer2: :yay:

Now I can leave town and not worry about it coming while I'm gone and by the way, it came via a very nice Fed Ex guy :goodvibes

Back to packing and errands -
Hurray for the FedEx guy. So he was nice, but was he cute too? ;)

That's very cool Mary. Here I thought they were coming via USPS. Wonder if we could be so lucky to get ours today as well.
Ours came by USPS. I know because our FedEx and UPS guys leave stuff on our front porch, but this was left sitting on top of our mailbox. (Sometimes our mail carrier can be rather dense!)

PIRATE PICTURE??

Has anyone in this group arranged for a picture of our disboards group for pirate night in the atrium?

If not, I'm willing to arrange and to get a Disney Character in Pirate attire in the Atrium with us for the picture.
Oooh, what a cool idea!

Ok, so I just have to share a couple of cute pictures. Here's one of Emily and her cupcake tower!!

How cute!! I've seen the cupcake tower at Christmas Tree Shops (I think) but didn't buy one. Now that I've seen it filled with cupcakes I wish I got one. I'd love to do that for the holidays.

Anyone up for another movie? I think we have time for one or two more... Let me know
Sure, sounds good to me. Though as you can tell I'm horrible at this game. I do know not to guess any sea disaster flicks though. I'm already relegated to the lifeboat, but at least I have a preserver of festive color

and company.

What a very cool idea! I wish DCL would also let you see your room charges on the TV like you can do in hotels. Plus while we are at it wouldn't it be great if we could see the navigator on the tv as well!

Great suggestions Mary! Since we all know DVC read this thread maybe someone will get credit for some new ideas!

Awww. Poor little thing. Kids who aren't feeling well are pretty lucky in some regards....they just plop down and go to sleep. Adults (esp moms) have to keep going and going and going. :lmao:
Like the Energizer Bunny.
