Ophelia. That was Ophelia that diverted us after SSMC05. I remember b/c we have a picture of the TV screen with the weather channel on! :)

Sorry - carryover from our May cruise.

UTOP - Unexpected Top Of Page - getting a top post when you didn't plan on it (yes on the other thread people would try and pirate: the tops). :lmao:

PDFG - Pixie Dust For GaRry. GaRry was supposed to cruise with us in May but had to cancel since he is on the national register list for a new liver. Someone suggested that since we loved tops so much every time we got one we'd dedicate it to GaRry to get him to the top of the transplant list. Since then we've had a number of people on the thread who have needed some pixie dust as well so we've added all our other friends as well.

Must add. My dd, KT, coined the "U TOP" phrase. Up till that point it was just a regular TOP.

And nicely said about PDFG. The saddest moment on the May cruise was when all of us hung over the railing of deck 4 as we sailed out of Port Canaveral, and gaRry was there at Jetty Park to wave at us. We had a big banner made that said "We love you, Garry" and hung that over the side of the ship. Of course, many were in tears.....both on the ship and off. :(

Thanks for the explanation Mary and Karen. I could imagine all the tears added to the ocean that moment.

Anyway---I was thinking ladies---sorry boys, not to specifically exclude you, but I am ;) Do we want to have a little bachelorette celebration for our friend Julie's last single days? Nothing spectacular, nothing long lasting, just a few minutes, just a drink, or two, or however many to celebrate maybe after the show one night? Maybe we can get Captain Henry to do a little dance for us? :lmao:

This is a great idea! Annmarie

This is true Mr Strange Brew (love that one).

My Parents met one of the Disney Animators at dinner one night and he invited them to watch him play hockey. He drew a little character on the paper he left the directions to the rink on so my parents kept it and I think framed it.

I love your smiley! I would've shared it with Shawn but he quit his college hockey this past weekend!

So, last night my wife finally decided to see what this thread was all about. She takes a look and say 1207 pages? I can't read all 1207 pages. So I told her she still has three weeks :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She better get started! :rotfl2:

This is also our first time in October. Before that, we only went based on school schedules.

Is there a list of what attractions stay open? If we're going to be there for only two days, I want to balance my time in the four parks to make sure we see anything new since we were last there in 2004. As far as I know, the only two new attractions in MK are Stich and the new PoTC. So, if I can plan on getting to MK around 5:00 to meet up with everyone at LTT, I can spend more time in the other three parks. What does everyone think?

There's a scanned copy of the Halloween Party park map somewhere here on the DIS. http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/photos/mnsshp-map2.htm

WHOA!
three HOURS??? No posts in over three hours???

My goodness. What's going on over here?
I had some family issues to deal with (luckily no immediate family involved) but still taxing, none-the-less.

Is this what it'll be like when you all sail away and leave me here? I'll be posting by myself????

who has time to post...by the time I finish reading all the new posts I have to turn off the computer because my eyes hurt. I don't think anyone in this bunch will be at aloss for words on the cruise. :rolleyes1

So today is one month from the wedding (in date - you know 10/28 vs 9/28) and I posted this on another board but I thought you guys would appreciate it as well as so many of you have helped contribute in many ways to our celebration!

I am just in awe that we get married in 4 weeks and that we leave in 3. This "ride" as I want to call it has been amazing and now that we are in the home stretch I am just in awe...

I'm in awe of how much I love Matt, of how I wondered just 6 years ago this week if I would ever find another person to love again and while it took a "broken road" I did and it's amazing.

I am in awe of how blessed we both are to have parents that are still married and have allowed us to follow our dreams. Both of us moved away from our families yet we are both closely tied to them and its such a wonderful relationship all around.

I am in awe that through the Disneymooners I have made some wonderful, life long friends some of whom will be joining us for the wedding in person, some of whom will be with us in spirit and many of you who will be waiting for those photos and sneek peaks. Many of these friends we know will be in our lives for a long time and both Matt and I look forward to our future trips together - whether they be to Disney or to an island or a villa somewhere!

I am in awe that we were able to negotiate Matt's finals, our families and work schedules to alllow us to sail on the 2006 DVC Member Cruise the Sunday - Thursday before the wedding that will allow us to relax from the pre wedding stress (yes, even though we are organized we are both stressed) and get connected again right before the big festivities. We have made some amazing friends that we are sailing with and we both cannot wait to see them again, hang out, sit on the beach at Castaway Cay (2 times in 4 days) and drink umbrella drinks, go banana boating, take the Eco tour, watch Ducky Williams draw, hear Jodi Benson sing in person and just enjoy the WONDER of it all.

This process seems so long for so many of us, but I have enjoyed it each step of the way and the next 4 weeks are going to be a big party!

We leave Saturday morning to head to North Carolina to see Matt's family for the weekend so I can meet everyone who can't come and celebrate his birthday with all of them.

Next weekend I head to Chicago for a final dress fitting, to hang out with my sister and spend some time with some very very good friends from college who are mostly all coming to the wedding - so awesome.

Awww Julie...You are so sweet...I'm happy that you and Matt are so in love...Best wishes in the future for both of you!

That's a saying that you don't hear very often today....I bet you say that to kids today and they'll have no clue what you are talking about! :lmao:

OK--so let's do process of elimination---

Sunday night we'll all be on sensory overload from just getting on the ship and will probably all be asleep by 8:30.

Monday night--wasn't this Pirate night?

Wednesday night--SSMC05 cruisers will remember the mad dash to try to get all those gifts into our suitcases and out in the hall. A little chaotic to say the least.

So how about Tuesday night? After a Day at Sea we should all be nice and relaxed and ready to party!! party:

I picked the day, someone else pick the time and place. The late show starts at 8:15 and is what like an hour and a half?
Tuesday works for me...just let me know where :Pinkbounc
