1)We sail in 27 days, but when do you actually leave and what else do you have planned?
I can be at WDW as early as Friday night, October 20 to meet up with anyone. I will be leaving Saturday hopefully sometime in the late morning and checking in to Pop Century, then going to the DIS meet at BCV. After that I am free if anyone wants to hang out. I will probably go to EC for F&W and Illuminations before ending up at MK since that is always open the latest on Saturday nights usually until 11PM. I will be at BWV after and have F&W plans as well as the Fireworks cruise.

2) What is the one thing you are looking forward to most about SSMC06?
Hanging with DIS friends and relaxing.

3) If there was to be a SSMC07 and it was in the same time frame and same type of cruise (4 day) would you book it?
Almost definitely No. I have other family vacations planned and as a single person with no cruise buddy it is not cost effective.

4) If there was a be a SSMC07 and if you could determine when it would be and what type of cruise what would it be?
Not when school is out and a 7 day cruise. I know there are a lot who want it when school is out but then a LOT more people would be trying to book it. Imagine the MS phone system trying to handle 10 times the calls of this cruise on booking day.

5) For 07 instead of a cruise would you rather see some type of land-based event? If so, what?
Personally I would because I could even stay at my apartment and just drive in for it. I think the cruise is a better venue because it is a small space and DVC has control over things more than they did with Member Homecoming. I enjoyed the Spring Swing event and that was nice because it was one day. I’d like to see another MH type event before another MC and price it different. Make the events a package price or pay as you go. For the events I would include special stuff like a backstage tour or an elegant evening but spaced out enough that those attending can catch their breath. MH had MK night end at about Midnight or so. By the time I got to my room it was about 1:15AM or so. SSR’s dedication began at 10:00AM with the bus leaving the resort at either 8:45AM or 9:00AM. Add in the EC night which ended at Midnight also plus a stop at the Open House and the heat and I was dead tired by the end of the dedication Thursday.

Whoah!!! Talk about Readers Digest version!!

How on earth did you remember all that? I know, you have a photographic memory but geez, that's a lot of info. :thumbsup2

Nope, this time I wrote it all down on one sticky. I could have remembered most of it but would feel bad if I forgot something which I probably did anyway.

Ok, you are too good!! I know that you said that you write it down, but I'm WAY too lazy to do it that way. I'm very impressed with your skills.

Thanks. I knew it would take too long to go thru twice (what I used to do) and some of the pages were replies. Also, I have been peeking in as I had a few minutes. I'll be busy again tomorrow so I may need to do another one of these. Tonight I'm off to the goodwill store to try to finish buying my Halloween costume.

I couldnt remember if I answered the last round of questions or not SO I will answer them (again) if I did once.

1)We sail in 27 days, but when do you actually leave and what else do you have planned? We leave on Sunday the 22nd we will be staying the night before near the airport so as not to miss our 7 am flight

2) What is the one thing you are looking forward to most about SSMC06?
I think the two trip to CC We are gonna rent bikes one day and tour the island better.

3) If there was to be a SSMC07 and it was in the same time frame and same type of cruise (4 day) would you book it?
Most likely not We would LOVE to but we are planning aout west road trip for next year and a big family trip in 2008 (besides we are out of points for 2007)

4) If there was a be a SSMC07 and if you could determine when it would be and what type of cruise what would it be?
Right now I just dont see it as an option

5) For 07 instead of a cruise would you rather see some type of land-based event? If so, what?
Well we MIGHT be interested in a Disney Adventures Yellowstone trip.................

Wow, I leave for a bit and have 3 pages to catch up on!!

Quick comments from me--

Iron? What's an iron? Downy Wrinkle Releaser Rocks! :cheer2: Didn't I bring it up on the thread last year?

My family has As at the end of our names, but most people like to leave them off---Diana (not Diane) Julia (not Julie) Emma (ok, no one is dumb enough to mispronounce Emma)

Jeff--we'll just have to find you a cruise buddy for SSMC07!

MLC--we're keeping our fingers crossed that the lack on information DVC has provided us is because their working extra hard on the special touches for the cruise. But many of us have been disappointed by the lack of communication from them compared to the last cruise.

We're staying at BWV 2 nights pre-cruise and BCV 2 nights post-cruise.

That's good news but I hope she is not in too much pain up to the operation. Wisdom teeth wasn't that bad for me but I only had 2 out and they didn't knock me out. I went after lunch one day and was back at work the next day. I'd give more details but don't want to frighten Todd.

They're knocking me out to do it. 3 of the 4 are impacted. I'm required to have a driver that will be there throughout (read as: Cheryl). I have to pop 4 amoxicillian one hour before surgery... fun because I'm not supposed to eat/drink so those will be dry swallowed. Then I'll get Vicodin for afterward. Though to be honest I've had plenty of broken bones (even my collar bone) and I've had stitches without even a local, so I'll only take the vics if the pain is severe.

Would that have been a JC Penney salon?

I go to a master designer -- who has been there longer than I know Gary. Believe it or not, she use to do Gary's ex-wife's hair and silly me, I trusted her with mine. Now I can't imagine trusting anyone else.

I really wish she'd do more out of the home visits. We've been really lucky as she did my hair the morning we were married as well as all of our hair the day of the last family wedding we stood up in.

I found her when she was in a local salon, followed her to her house when she had her kids, now she works at a hair cuttery. Her older son is in college and her youngest should be graduating this year. Boy, that makes me feel OLD.

I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to do that!!! Cheers to you!! :cheer2:

The other thing I can't stand is when you're in a line for something and the person in front or behind you feels the need to tell you how slow the cashier/sales person whatever is at full volume over and over again. I was in Macy's once and this older woman started complaining and I turned around and said to her---you know what, I'll hold your spot in line, you go over to the HR dept and fill out an application and show me how you can do a better job than her.

Alright--now some people are really slow and really not-to-bright (I'm being nice) but yelling about it is only going to make that person move slower! I was a cashier at a supermarket for years in HS and college---Trust me, I know! ;)

Woo hoo - you go girl!

Or else you'll be first on the list for early morning wake up calls! (or late night, whatever your least perferred time is!)

I can neither confirm nor deny my preferred times for anything. (Do you think this will work?) :teeth:

Please tell me that you didn't stand up at the part where they say "if anyone knows why these two should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace....."

:lmao:

After the grocery store story, I wouldn't put it past you!!!

still trying to figure out why the family had to have nice hair to do that!! :lmao:

Hip-Hip-Horray!!!! party: party: party:

Our linked dining for the cruise has been approved by DCL. Working with Debbie at DCL was truly a treat. A very pleasant experience.

There were a few tweeks we needed to make in order to fit our group of 91 into the parameters that DCL has set. We will all be in the same area of the dining room --- along the windows I hear as of right now.

In order to make it work, I did need to create more tables of 4's rather than the bigger tables.

If anyone would like to know who I have seated them with, please send me a PM and I'll provide that information. When possible, I've tried to keep those who have asked specifically to be seated with others together.

I know we are going to have a great time and will probably be the rowdy ones in the room. party:

Thanks for taking care of this for us Cindy!!!

Man! You guys have been busy! I've only been offline since Sunday and I have over 30 pages to read!

Nick wanted me to post on the DIS that one of his butterflies has died. We ordered the caterpillar's, watched them form chysalisses (sp?) and hatch from those. They've been butterflies for over a week now and one died today.

Nick is very very tenderhearted and he's pretty upset about it (read as crying and sobbing) I heard him tell KT "I prayed to God that they wouldn't die." :( :( :(

And then he came up to me and said "will you let them know on the DIS that one of the butterflies died." With as straight a face as possible I told him I would.

So I'm keeping my word. :)

Ohhh, poor Nick!!! That's too sweet that he's so tender-hearted!!!

Ok I'm all caught up!
I'm not even going to try to do my version of Readers Digest because it's just not gonna happen but.....

Cheryl & Todd - thanks for the update and hope all goes well for both of you.

Congrats Chris on Post 100

To funny about the Fedex & Ups guys.

I have dyed my own hair 2x with no problems - I did it just for the heck of it!

I need to order some of Julies Chips now for sure!!

Diana - I'm in for a little bachlorette get together

Off to bed now. Busy day tomorrow. Run home after work, choke down dinner then go to open house at Nick's school till 9:30pm.

Wow! Still catching up. 1,200 pages and Robin congrats on 18,000th post! We are definitely going to hit 20,000 before we cruise. Then again, I still have 26+ pages to catch up on so we could've hit another milestone that I'm not aware of yet!

Hugs to Nick on his butterfly. Tell him that the butterfly went to visit my mom and keep her company.

Nick, Sorry for your loss.
IF you plan a trip to southern New Jersey in September of next year you could see the butterflies resting here as part of their migration. My DH and I were taking a walk this afternoon and on one bush there were at least 50 butterflies resting up for the trip. Then we looked out in the ocean there were hundreds of dolphins jumping and playing. I love this place.
If you need a deal on a room, let me know, I have an in with the manager of a hotel (DH).

SSR after the cruise until Sunday.

Good luck, Todd, on getting your wisdom teeth out. I had mine done 19 years ago. I remember because it was not long after my DD19 was born. Anyway, they knocked me out even though I only had 2, and I never had to take anything stronger than Tylenol. Its different for everyone though, so just know that it will get better and it will feel better to have them gone than impacted.

Cheryl, I hope this is a wonderful trip for you. Waiting can sometimes be hard, but you will have all of your DIS friends praying that you have a pain-free trip and a smooth surgery.

Rochelle
