See now that's nice idea. How 'bout this one..you know the group photo they take, how about using one of the mats we talked about earlier and having everyone sign the mat for the photo to go into. I think I will do that. I didn't get into having the characters sign it but I think it would be cool to have all of you sign it. The problem is I'd have to carry it around alot...hmmmm
That's a great idea! And what a reminder of a great time with friends.

We did something like that for our wedding. Instead of a sign-in book that would be shoved away somewhere never to be seen again, we had everyone sign the mat for our Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract). It's hanging in our bedroom and I absolutely love it! It's one of the few non-Disney pieces we have hanging on our walls.

:hourglass Time is slipping away! Still have a lot to do! I just found out my work network is down until 7pm tonight so it looks like I can't finish the 2007 budget until tomorrow so I guess Tom and I have the day to ourselves!

Got some sad news yesterday. My best friend who lives in FL called to let me know her ex-husband (my cousin) past away. He died of liver failure. He had a liver transplant 3 years ago and it started failing about 1.5 years ago and unfortunately found out six months ago he wasn't a candidate for another transplant. He is leaving behind two boys (sophomore and senior in high school). They are both taking this very hard. Even though they have had a few months to prepare it's still difficult!

We are all waiting to find out what his new wife is going to do for arrangements. She is thinking about having a service here in MA only so if this happens, my friend and the boys will fly up and stay with Tom and I. His wife said she wants him to be where the rest of his family is buried. It's going to be a crazy week!
So sorry to hear that. What sad news, and with two teenage sons...
Prayers and pixiedust: to all involved.

Tom is making me get ready so this will be my last post this morning. :surfweb: He just told me this thread comes before anything else around here. :teeth: I forgot to tell you about my bad dream this morning!

The alarm clock didn't go off and I woke up at 5AM and our flight was supposed to leave at 6AM. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport but I still had to pack! I called JetBlue and they said that it was too bad but there were no seats available for me to fly out on Saturday. I called every airline flying out of Boston and Providence and no-one could help me. Then JetBlue called back and said they had two seats on a flight leaving Boston at 2pm and arriving in Orlando at 5pm on Sunday!!

We were going to miss the cruise! I woke up in a cold sweat and just told Tom about my nightmare. He said we are going to set the Mickey clock that we got from SSMC05 just to be safe. Then he said if we woke up at 5AM and missed our flight we would drive down! It only takes 24 hours! He said we may miss the DIS meet on Saturday but he's NOT missing the cruise!!! :rotfl2:
Sorry you had such a nightmare! That would scare me, too. But
MM-yippee.gif
that Tom's already come up with a plan B, just in case!

Ok I go out grocery shopping and come back to 4 pages and you call me a blabbermouth? :lmao: Ok I admit it that I am. Can I make 20,000 by cruise time. I'm pretty sure I can but I won't be posting one word posts or going to the birthday board just to boost my count.

Ilene - trust me when I tell you that you will be welcomed with open arms. I think the term was first used when we were cruising on the 10 day. Someone in the thread was asking about being away from family at Christmas. Someone else said - but I won't be alone I'll be with hundreds of friends I haven't met yet!

You all have now realized why we do the buttons as well. We're shy, we're not great with names, we don't always but a screen name with a real name. So between the gallery and the buttons it helps. It is a way to all be like a big family at a reunion. That's why we ask you to wear you button as much as you can. So we can all recognize each other.

I'll know who you are! It's weird because you are out of your element.
then all of a sudden I froze in my tracks--I've never met these people. I'm really shy. I started to panic..But for a bried moment that inner voice was saying "RUN!! No one has seen you yet!! You can run and they won't even know you were here!" I almost chickened out of the DIS meet! :lmao: I'm really glad I didn't! :goodvibes

YUP, I can't identify with that "run" feeling ::yes::

I'm very sorry too. Such a tragic story. Prayers for the family. pixiedust:

I was thinking the same thing. Should I bring a cheat sheet? And then I remembered that the buttons have our DIS name and real name so that will make it easier for us.

But I'm gonna cover mine up and take off a small piece every day till someone guesses, whoops thats been done. I'll just stay along the wall and watch it all play out. (ya think?)

Hint: This is where you all gang up on me, throw tomatoes and say that I'm so full of doo doo my eyes are brown. (Which they are by the way - GTKYFKK)

My ketuba is hanging on our bedroom wall too! I LOVE that you have the signatures and blessings from your friends and family right there with it. What a fabulous idea!

Robin, we did the same thing, only we used a Cinderella Wedding lithograph.

Annmarie - that is definately a nightmare! Using the SSMC05 clock is a good idea - that thing could wake the dead it is so loud!

On a more serious note - sorry to hear about your friend and your cousin.

You're too funny Curt!

Thanks for the chat time last night! I wasn't able to stay in too long as the margaritas were being poured and tequila must be consumed quickly once mixed with the lime juice, at least that's what I've been told.

It's time to start cleaning the kitchen and then on to the bathing of the dogs! Wishing everyone a great Saturday and wishing those cheering for the Tigers a great evening (I didn't know that hockey season had started but those Tigers sure know how to bounce a puck!).

Time for the nightmares of missing the cruise to start. I'm guessing you probably won't even need an alarm clock that night as you will be Too Exicted To Sleep!

You know that would make a good commerical?!?

Curt, a VERY warped sense of humor here (yeah, many would say just a warped guy). That's what happens when a Yooper moves to So. Cal!

Definately had a great turn out in chat last night. At one time I think we had 17 people which I think were all Member Cruisers! Great fun! Just think how much fun we'll have 2 weeks from now when we all (or hopefully most of us) meet up at Beach Club for the first DIS meet!
