Geez, yesterday seemed to be a wrotten day!

I got a phone call at work that my mom had tried to get out of her wheelchair and fell down. They sent her to the hospital "just in case" Well that "just in case" was in fact! She broke her right hip!

Running joke in the ER..........they did such a great job on her left hip in June that she wanted her right one done!

Pixie Dust and Prayers to all who need them!

This time I had the Dr. promise that he would release her from the hospital before and during my trip!

HUGS

Janet, I'm so sorry to hear that. pixiedust: to you and your mom!

DD received DOCS today! Can you believe DCL addressed our envelope to our 9 year old DD.

Is she going to invite you to join her? :rotfl2:

You'll need cash to mail them (one of the few things on the cruise you'll need actual cash for) as they need Bahamian stamps so don't forget to take some with you on the island.

Last cruise, who else stood in the pouring rain, hoping to get into the post office to mail off their post cards, only to find out that the post office had no change  ?

I remember Stacy's Mom & Dad (and Nick?) were there.

I've always heard the mail is really slow but last year Walker sent one to his class that arrived before he went back to school. :)

Janet, I'm sorry. It's tough when our parents get older. I hope she heals quickly. Hips can be tough!

I didn't send any last year, but in May I tried to mail some. The post office was closed on our first day at CC because it was Sunday (makes sense). Well when we came back on Friday it was closed again due to a holiday. There was a note to drop your postcards off at guest services. I did that but to this day they have never made it to their destinations. I wonder if they ever were mailed.

THANKS MARY! We are right across the hall from our cruising buddies, Georgie and Joe and we are in 6067.

My sister Debbie, as of yesterday is questionable. She is having heart problems and the doctors are doing tons of tests to find out the problem. She has been to the ER twice in the last week by ambulance when her husband couldn't find a pulse on her. Please send pixie dust her way. This was to be her first cruise ever. More test results will be back this Friday.

So, to say the least, it's been a little bit hectic since we returned from the 11 day on Sunday night and trying to unpack and get everything in order.

:wizard: Oh Linda!

Prayers for your sister are on their way. How frightening. It's wonderful her husband was there to call for the ambulance. I know how you're looking forward to having her sail with you... for her FIRST cruise. :wizard:

Sad that you took the time to write them out and then they never made it to their destination.

Sorry to hear about the broken hip. Hopefully she's on the mend quickly. pixiedust:

Linda - sorry to hear about your sister's heart problems. I remember you talking about how hard you worked to get her to cruise with you - hopefully they will pinpoint the trouble and she'll still be able to cruise with you. pixiedust:
