WOW. THat was a hectic evening. Bad storms came through here. They passed through (or so I thought) and about 30 minutes later we headed to rehearsal.
Here was the plan. Drop Nick at rehearsal, drive to church. Drop KT off at youth group, drive back to rehearsal. Hope that rehearsal either gets out early enough so I can pick up KT on time or late enough so I can pick up KT and have time to get back to Nick (without someone having to wait special with him)
Well, I'm 1/2 way there and the sky starts looking NASTY. Then it starts POURING. I'm talking windshield wipers on full blast and you can still barely see. Then I'm 3/4 of the way there and it starts HAILING. That's LOUD on a car roof. I pulled over under a bridge and turned up the radio. TORNADO WARNING. TORNADO SPOTTED IN FRANKLIN COUNTY (where I was at the time!)
Luckily 10 minutes later it let up but I did hear the tornado was just north of where I was (about 10 miles)
Needless to say, I wasn't taking chances. KT didn't go to youth group. We just stayed put at the theater. I wasn't going out again. Amazingly, she didn't pitch a fit about it.
