Chris - oh I agree, my Dad didn't ever ask his employees to purchase anything because that would not have been cool since he was the plant manager. We were able to bug their friends instead :rotfl2: and well back then we went door to door in the neighborhood.

We still go door to door. I'll be by with one of the kids soon.:drive: Darn, I shouldn't have told you that, now you aren't going to answer the door. ;)

Sales were slow today. We got set up and then the rain started, so we needed to tear it all down. No need to worry, we brought our Mickey poncho's but it didn't seem to help.

When we finally gave up and brought the remainer back to popcorn headquarters, we were short. When I thought about it, I realized that we didn't actually sell one of the $15 cheese popcorn tins. :sad2: I hope who ever swiped it off the table is enjoying it right now. Of course, since I was ultimately responsible, I had to make up the difference out of my pocket. I don't mind supporting Scouts, but not when it benefits someone other than the Scouts themselves.

Lesson learned, we will not be selling again at WalMart without an extra set of adults present.

Sales were so slow so Walker headed down to the entrance of Sam's Club and tried to sway people our way. No luck. Then he went down to the exit where someone handed him $5 tip (which went to pay for the cheese popcorn someone swiped  ) but then a manager came out and told Walker he couldn't sell in front of Sam's Club. Our permit was for WalMart, not Sam's so the bit of chance that we had, went down the drain.

Very discouraging. :sad2:

And, I can't tell you how many people I wanted to tackle on their way to their cars. It really made me angry the people who pretended they didn't hear Walker or didn't even acknowledge him when he asked if they wanted to buy. What they are teaching my child is that he shouldn't have common courtesy. I tell you, I wanted to deck each and every one of them! :furious: :furious: I don't expect anyone to buy, but geez, at least say no, or not today or something.

Question - are jeans appropriate attire (in your opinion) for pirate night at dinner or no?
I think that on Pirate night, anything goes!!

My guess - Perfect Storm

Careful, Erin. Curt's going to put you in the lifeboat section with the rest of us who have guessed some type of water disaster.

:boat:

DIS Navigator

I have a preliminary navigator layout done for the front and back. This is not final as I still have to update some of the deck plans with anyone who sends in info over the next week. Also I can change any info on the front based on feedback. Please if you see I left something out or mis-spelled something let me know. You won't be hurting my feelings. For example I noticed after I saved it that I don't have the date for the Wishes cruise so I'll go back in and add that on the real version.

To see it go to http://monorailgreen.info/member2006/disnav.jpg

Any and all feedback appreciated.

Looks Good, Mary!! :thumbsup2

Awww, poor Walker!!! I always acknowledge kids that are trying to do fundraising. That's a tough job, and sometimes people are just not nice!!

 Loves ya Mary. I need somebody to pick on since I've now been labled a cheating geek.

Our guess for today is The Black Hole (Edited: OK too late- I didn't read the 4 pages since this morning before I posted this)

Any more word from DVC - we should be due for some news since it's less than a month away now?

I've been thinking the same thing.

And...shouldn't we be receiving documents soon?

Thanks for the fun Curt.

Cindy - sorry to hear you and Walker had such a bad day. I was tempted to jump in the car this morning and drive out to surprise you but the weather was just so grey I wasn't motivated enough. Now I wish I had.

Steve - that's awesome!

We thought of you last night. We were watching the news and heard that the City of Fort Worth's Fire Department Chief passed away yesterday (natural causes) and flags here are at flying at half staff in his honor.

I saw that this morning too. May he rest in peace.

Greetings from WDW & The French Quarter,

I'm glad that everyone had fun with the CHALLENGE. I will come up with another but I think this one will just be for fun since we don't have an unlimited budget for this trip. (Sorry).

For those of you interested here is the entire Frame and what will be on our door.

Now you can see why I thought this frame was most appropriate for this cruise.

I would have loved it and been very surprised. ::yes::

Maybe next weekend. I believe we're doing it again next Sunday, 3-6. I have to check on the location, as I don't want to have a repeat of today. I just might have to drag Gary along to make sure no one enjoys some popcorn on my tab. Even better, I'll see if Cameron wants to join us. ;)

Psycho ward --- as you making reference to us. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I agree, very appropriate.

I enjoyed this challenge, even if I knew I didn't have a chance of guessing the right movie.

Thanks, Curt & Karen. I look forward to the next one.
