We made it to see :sulley: :cheer2:

It was quite an experience. First we couldn't get out of our neighborhood due to flooding. Every which way I went, it was way deeper than anyone was attempting to get through. Finally I headed south and went through the back streets and a big puddle and got out onto the main roads. From there, I circled 3 times on the highway --- debating about whether this was a good idea or not. Of course, Walker wanted to go. Then he didn't want to go. Then he wanted to go again. Around and around and around we went.

We finally made it to the arena -- to find that their parking lot was flooding and closed. So, we parked where we could, at a much cheaper price :teeth: and made it into the show shortly after it started.

Walker's beat and already in bed for the night.

I liked the show --- I liked the second 1/2 much better than the first. Maybe I had just relaxed enough to really start to enjoy it. Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy made their appearances as well.

When we sat down, we had seats probably 8 rows from the ice. There was a railing directly in front of us and on the other side of it, a brick divider. I said to Walker, look, it's a monorail. I really thought they had a mini-version of a monorail as part of the show and just couldn't place where that would be in Monsters Inc. So, I'm sitting there, looking at this monorail track and I follow it along to see that people are sitting directly against it around the bend. Now I can't figure out how they are going to make the monorail appear when there are people sitting against the track.

Finally it dawned on me that the Allstate Arena is also home to the Chicago Wolves hockey team. And, the monorail track that I've been staring at isn't really a monorail track, but the outside of their ice rink. I started laughing to myself -- feeling like a total WDW nut in the wrong place. I really, really thought it was the monorail. I'm glad I only told Walker what it was and no one else sitting near us.

Disney on the brain, what more can I say? :rotfl2:
Glad to hear y'all made it to the show. ::yes::

Sounds like someone needs a Disney vacation, and quick! (I know y'all were just there, but is there really such a thing as too much of a good thing?)

Yea, for Albany County you just go to the Dept of Health site and they have all the restaurant. That Wendy's has 2 "Blue violations" they explain what can be considered a blue violation but doesn't say which specific violation this restaurant had. Food temp is considered a blue violation. The Schenectady County site isn't as user friendly.

I've typed up a letter to Wendy's Corporate and cc'd the Albany and Schenectady County Department of Health. I certainly hope someone's head is going to roll. What stinks is none of them have email address to submit complaints to!
I'd send a copy to the local newspaper(s), too. And if any of the tv news do a segment on complaints or anything like that, let them know too. I bet you're not the only one experiencing problems with them.

Curt, I'm going to guess Finding Nemo today.

Well I went to the ER. Long story short after a lot of hours they discharged me.
(They said ER will not do operation unless stone is in bile duct.)
I have 2 prescriptions, 1 for IBU 600 and 1 for oxycodone ( which I don't plan on using thanks to general hospital.)
Ok time to get some zzz's..

Cheryl - hope you were able to get some rest.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Here's a tip on how to read you Key To The World Card (aka KTTW)

kttw.jpg

Here's the one from the first Member Cruise. As you notice it was a special design just for that sailing. Hope they do that again. So here is the info you can find on it. Starting at the top.

Sailing date - pretty easy to figure out that one.

Adult - again pretty easy.

PA - the PA on the card was a sticker. That's because we purchase Disney transport from the Port to the Airport. If you purchase round trip it will say APA and if you didn't purchase any at all it will be N (which you can see under the sticker).

S2-PTAT Table: 44 - Ok here is where you find out your dinner rotation. S2 stood for 2nd seating (or late seating). First seating would be S1. PTAT was our rotation. We started in Parrot Cay, next night was in Tritons, next night in Animator's Palette, and our final night in Tritons. You will also get a ticket in your stateroom (looks like a ticket you would get from Ticketmaster) that spells out the full name of the resturant and dining time. Then table 44 of course shows our table number. If you've linked dinner reservations you can verify that you are indeed all at the same table and on the same rotation.

Your name - think you all know what that is.

Disney Wonder shows the ship you are on.

ID # is your unique billing number for the cruise. Just like at the resorts.

Finally that little number in the bottom left corner. That is the year you were born. No cheating on your age with DCL :rotfl:Yes I was born in 1957 which makes me 49.

So now you know how to read a KTTW card. Have a Disney Day!

Cheryl--try to get some rest. That oxycodone works really good. That's what they give me when I get kidney stones and I haven't become addicted or tried to sell any on the black market! :rotfl:

OMG that means I leave in 27 days!!! I think today I'm going to make my things to do list because I feel like I'm falling behind fast and have a ton of things that I have to get done in the next couple of weeks!!

Cindy--I'm really glad you guys made it to Monsters Inc!!

Cindy - glad to hear you made it to the ice show. Too funny about the monorail track. Yes we all have Disney on the brain.

Chat started nice and early for us. I think I went in about 7:15 and there was already someone in room 2 so I grabbed room 1. I left about 10 pm Eastern (9 Central) after a few others did. Guess the rest didn't stay much longer.

The best part - KarenNY got to join us for some of the chat as no one was in the main room.

The worst part - we had a 12 year old who kept sending pms to people asking them to go back to his website I think. I almost got to use my boot button!

Nope, never can get enough. And, I do need a Disney fix. Always!

As the show was ending and Mickey was waving goodbye, I leaned over to Walker and said "say see you in a couple weeks". To my surprise, Walker yelled it out -- usually he's too cool to do those types of things anymore :( . As he was gone, Mickey said "see you really soon". Talk about chills! It was like he heard Walker in the crowd :teeth:

Cheryl, if the pain was great enough to send you to the ER, apparently they feel you need some pain medication. You really aren't going to take it because of a soap opera?

Maybe you should pick up the phone and call your doctor. Tell them how much pain you are in, that it was significant enough to send you to the ER, that it's interferring with your day-to-day activities. I bet you might be surprised as to how quickly they can take care of getting that gallbladder taken out.

As I always tell my Mom, you have to be your best advocate when it comes to doctors and medical care. It really sounds like it's time to get the ball rolling. I hope you feel better.

Go for the TIVO!! MY DH was always trying to convince me we should get it. I thought, we don't need that. Now that I have it I can't imagine not having it anymore. Go for it!!! You will love it! Never miss a show and fast forward through the commercials!

Chris

Thanks, we don't have Direct TV just basic cable so I guess Tivo it will be. Tomorrow I'm going shopping.

Of COURSE he did. There is no other explanation. Mickey heard Walker in the crowd. That'd be my story and I'd stick to it!!!!

Here here!!! I'd be calling. Well, no. I'm lucky. Mike would be calling. And he has some pull. But if you can't do your day to day activities you need to press the matter. If nothing happens, at least you'll know you TRIED to get seen sooner. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Make a pest of yourself. :)

I was out to dinner last night with a bunch of college friends and we had a Tivo discussion. We all decided it'd be hard to live without!!!!

Okay, small world. I worked at Burger King back in high school and made assistant manager. I quit to help take car eof my Grandmother. Memories that are priceless. I am so glad I lived with my Grandma for a few months before she passed away.

BK was my first job outside of babysitting that I had too. A year and a half in HS. I look back now and wonder how I lasted that long

. It will be 19 years for my 'part-time while I'm in college job' next week.
