Just a quick check in.
I saw the surgeon today and if my ct scan comes up normal, and that I can use the hospital that the surgeon uses I will be going in for the laproscopic surgery on Friday.

Some friends of mine from the Dec. 2004 and May 2006 cruise are traveling together on the 11 day cruise that just left today. They are calling it the Mom's Escape cruise. 3 of the ladies are DISers, one other the wife of a DISer and the 5th is a good friend of one of the DISers. Sharon, the friend, got some tragic news after she boarded the ship. Her sister had just died. So she had to make arrangements to leave the ship and fly back to her home in AZ. The other 4 ladies are continuing on without her. Please keep Sharon and her family in your thoughts.

For those of you chat declined/impaired DisSers, the Challenge is this....
Several months ago, Karen and I were watching a movie and came across the a spot in the movie that would make the PERFECT door sign. I really like it and wanted to share it before the cruise. Now to say that I have really enjoyed my time here on this board is one of the bigger understatments I can make. I wanted to make this a little special so I came up with the idea of making a contest out of revealing the sign. But on retrospect I though it would be too easy, so following the advise of Mary the Mod I broke the pic into 16 frames. On even numbered days I will remove another box revealing another frame.
The Challenge: Identify the movie from which the frame was captured.
The Rules:
(1) The pic will be posted on even numbered days sometime before NOON. 16 frames X every other day = 32 days. SOMEBODY should be able to figure this sucker out by then! Several DisSers have expressed interest but are prohibited from checking in at work so I MIGHT post it early, just depends if I am working or awake....
(2) NO HINTS
(3) First DisSer to post the CORRECT answer wins.
(4) This aint rocket science....
The Prize: A Conch Kooler - or comparable like grog on me. Defination of comparable? Remember I am a simple, honest public servant. Dom will NOT be joining this party.
Karen thinks I'm nuts - but I'm having a blast planning this little thing. Mary has the Navigators, Amy has her tidbits, and now I have my little bit of fun.
Enjoy

Coleen is a little nervous as it can be a dangerous job (and I guess so am I) but I am also very proud and honored he wants to follow in my career path.
So it could be a fourth generation of FF in our family tree. My grandfather signed up as a volunteer in 1951, on the department I am a member of. I had an uncle who was a FF in Columbus Ohio and now he is interested. Must be something in the blood I guess.

Ok, I'm with you on that one! I can just see Emily trying to cut Madison's hair after she was done with the doll's hair.Diana Lyn said:AND--I would NEVER EVER EVER give my children a doll with scissors and show them how to cut hair!! Whose crazy idea was that?? Hey, let's encourage little kids to do this to a doll, because then they'd get the great idea to do it to themselves--or worse unsuspecting siblings!!
