It's when you arrive at the port. Cats 1, 2, 3 automatically go in the first group. Then you're grouped according to arrival time.

Thanks Karen. Hopefully we will all be in the same group and be able to go to the buffet together.

OK, well if THIS isn't a TZ moment than NOTHING is!!!!!

Now THAT is completely insane!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

If you were cruising with us, I'd make "Baby Alive Fan Club" magnets! :lmao:

Stacy, I've been thinking about these sleeping arrangements.

Not to cause waves, but have you thought about mentioning this to the school -- not the teacher, but a counselor or principal? I can't believe that they would allow adults to sleep in the same area with children who are not their own. The teachers way of thinking isn't a good one (as you know). And, in a way, it makes the hair on my neck stand up that he's so relaxed about it.

We know from Scouts that children are not to be alone with leaders. It's a good thing you take your training seriously. Sadly, it doesn't sound like this teacher is doing his part. If, we as Scoutleaders, have been trained to know this (and it's common sense in these days) then the teacher should know this as well.

That's a thought. Maybe I will do that.

I vaguely remember reading something about this. Does anyone out there know if in fact this is the case???

It would be unfortunate not to look out over the clear blue water while I am hoofing it trying to work off last night's supper (and red wine??) :confused3

GTKYFKC Questions

OK, since I visited enemy territory I have a few GTKYFKC questions:

What is your favorite Universal attraction and why?Never been to Universal.

When was the last time you visited Universal, either park?As I said, never, but that could change soon. DD asked if we could go to Universal while we're there in October.

Has anyone dined at Emeril's and is it really worth waiting 6 months for reservations?Never have.

What ride/attraction/technology from Universal would you like to see Disney adopt in the future?Don't know since I haven't seen any.

Since DVC began offering a discount on annual passes, do you stay mostly on Disney property? If not, where in Orlando would you go?The only times we've ventured off property, it wasn't pretty. It's DVC or DD's CM discount at non-DVC's for me from now on!

The initial communication we received from DCL did say the fitness center would be closed. But I haven't seen anything since saying whether it would be open or closed. I guess it all depends on how far they get with the renovations while the ship in in dry dock. I'm hoping it does end up being open because I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself if I don't exercise that whole time.

Wow! I have some chatty friends here on the DIS!! I've caught up on all the posts, but there's no way I can go back and comment on everything. It's been a crazy couple of days, yesterday we went outlet shopping and I found an awesome North Face winter coat that I totally wanted. But I tried it on, looked at the price tag, tried it on again and said to Bruce, when are we moving to Florida, because we'd be able to save a ton of money on coats! :lmao: I didn't get the coat, I'm still dreaming about it though.

We headed into NJ and spent most of the day with my father. My aunt called and said--guess what the whole family is planning to go on a cruise in July. OK, great, I'm so there!! A Carnival cruise out of NYC going NORTH to Canada! There's other cruise ships besides the Magic and the Wonder and there's other places to cruise to besides Castaway Cay? :confused3

So Bruce and I discussed further our move to FL options and he mentioned it to his boss what "southern opportunities" exist for him. So, because GE now owns Universal, his boss said Bruce would definitely be able to get some sort of position with them in Orlando. :scared1: Uh--that would be against my religion dear!

Emma went to preschool this morning, and it was a great success. Julia did well at babysitting. I was a nervous wreck for both of them! I'm just happy to be getting into some sort of routine.

There are other cruise ships out there!? :confused3 Who would have guessed!

GE owns Universal!? I didn't know that. Hey put this twist on it. Bruce whould be getting paid by them but you would be spending it at Disney. Kind of funny when you think about it!

Funny that you should mention Haunted Mansion. The font for the text to the left of the pic is a Disney font that I got somewhere called Gracy's Curse. TZ moment?

I noticed the font right away and at first thought maybe that was a hint but then I thought about it more and said no way would he do that so that's why I guessed a different movie.

Not touching that one between you and Julie for any amount.

Ann Marie's (from Michigan) DH Tom

Well thanks to Halloween USA we now have pirate costumes. Yipee. While I enjoyed the movies I guess I'm the only one in the (Disney)world that doesn't like pirates....

Go figure.

Our son has an interview with his first Fire Dept. He never seemed to be interested in what I did but apparently it made an impact on him. He took the EMT class last year and has applied at a couple of Fire Depts. He also has a test later this month for another FD.
Coleen is a little nervous as it can be a dangerous job (and I guess so am I) but I am also very proud and honored he wants to follow in my career path.

So it could be a fourth generation of FF in our family tree. My grandfather signed up as a volunteer in 1951, on the department I am a member of. I had an uncle who was a FF in Columbus Ohio and now he is interested. Must be something in the blood I guess.

That's very cool!
Wishing him luck that he gets in!

Sorry Cindy, but Chrissy is one freaky looking doll! :lmao: She looks like a giant! Not that my doll is much better.....

Here's a gross doll story. I always wanted a Baby Alive doll, the one that came with powered stuff you mixed it with water and fed her. Well, I guess I fed her and no one ever cleaned her up because she ended up getting worms!! :lmao: You know, those wormy things you find in sugar and flour after it's been around too long...yup, growing out of her mouth! :crazy2:

YEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!! :crazy2:

Steve - that is very cool. Pixie dust to your son that he gets the job and that he has a very safe and fulfilling career.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick check in.

I saw the surgeon today and if my ct scan comes up normal, and that I can use the hospital that the surgeon uses I will be going in for the laproscopic surgery on Friday.

Do we get more than one guess and if so, is that one guess per day? My family is getting involved in the fun too!

Have to consult with league officials (Karen) Let me get back to you on that one......

Judges have been heard from...

ONE GUESS PER DAY PER DisSer. (That means new spreadsheet for me)
