All this talk of scrapbooking got me motivated and I visted Archievers yesterday at lunch. It had been a couple of months since I was there. I picked up what may be my Circle Journal for SSMC06 if we do one (which I'm hoping we will). Even picked up some prima flowers. Diana - how do you attach them?

I'm so jealous, Mary!! I loved Archivers so much.

I'm assuming you got the smaller flowers in the milk bottle? You can attach those with little brads going through the center of the flower and into the paper. I'll see if I can find a pic to show you. If you got a bottle with different sizes in it you can double layer the different colors. What color did you get? I have a Prima flower addiction and hosted 2 swaps on the creative community here on the DIS in the last few months. I must have thousands of them.

I had these already loaded into photobucket.
This one has a smaller brown on top of a bigger blue with a copper brad through the center.

I cut this one to look like Minnie's bow.

This here is a hydrangea with a regular flower put together with a big brad.

It's so much fun to mix and match the colors!!

Did I mention I love Primas?

I dont know if some one else has thought of this as I am answering as I go but wouldnt a DVC cruise be a FABULOUS place to make a MAJOR DVC announcement???????????

Thanks Diana - I hadn't thought of brads. Yes I got the ones in the milk bottle. I got all small bright colored ones. They used those on a display in the store of them covering a picture frame and inside the frame was a cruise ship picture (not DCL). So I guess I kind of got in the cruise mood. Plus since we are going to Hawaii next year I thought it would be good for those as well.

:surfweb: Morning everyone,

Now that the big stones have been passed I promise I'll cool it on the posts. (Sorry, milestones. Don't want to get confused with other topics running here)

My DD14 and I have been debating whether or not to go on SSMC06 as she would miss school, and we have made our decision.

It was a difficult decision, but I think it is the right one for us. I know we will be missing a WONDERful time!!!! Please have a Konk Kooler for me while you are enjoying Castaway Cay. Oh - make that 2 Konk Koolers - one for each visit to CC!!!!! I guess I better go delete my clippies -- oh, oh more tears... :sad1: :sad1:

Very sorry to hear that we've misplaced a crazy cruiser. Do you know if FedEx accepts liquids?

Welcome Cubbybear!! I was worried that we had another rabid Starsky & Hutch fan, (no wait, that was HuggyBear.)

Karen and I are from Plymouth, suburb of A2 - pick one. (BTW OhioMinnie - :chewy: grrrr). I'm originally from Berwyn and still wear my Cubs jacket. You'll probablly be meeting Julie, Tina and me (we're the only ones crazy enough to root for the Cubs) So a thousand welcomes once again.
(Does that sound too Irish:shamrock: ? - Is there such a thing?:rotfl2:

I know this question came up several pages back, but you guys were chatty yesterday!!! Gee, you go back to work, and all of a sudden, everybody starts :hyper2: So, I'm starting to try to catch up...

Anyway, the theme for my CJ is "I feel like a kid again!"
Ooh, what a cool theme.

Thanks for sharing everyone. Now I can't wait to see what y'all came up with for each other!

So we had a very busy posting day yesterday. What will today hold :confused3

Cool - I got 15151! It is the little things that make us happy.
As it should be. If we waited for the big things to make us happy... well we sure wouldn't have as much fun. ;)

With all our posting yesterday I didn't realize it was a milestone day. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the start of the thread. Yep, last year on September 6th is when Jim Lewis announced the 2006 Member Cruise while on the 2005 cruise. As soon as we got out of the talk Robin started this thread.
Wow, it really was a big day yesterday. That is so cool that we hit 1000 pages, 15000 posts, and the one year anniversary of this thread all on the same day! :cool1:

I can't believe that one of the things his class is doing is an overnight camping trip in 2 weeks! The funniest thing about it is, it's at the same place that we camped with Boy Scouts for spring camporee and the events they are doing sounds are just like what he did at camporee so this should be a breeze. And yes I sent an email to the teacher offering to be a chaperone. Well see if I get picked to tag along.

:cool1: I know Cameron would be thrilled to go back to any of the camps he went to this year. Neat for Nick, as he already knows the lay of the land.

Can you guess? I called DCL yesterday and officially cancelled before we would get into the 50% cancellation period. Hopefully, someone on the waitlist got a call and is extremely excited about going!

Sorry to hear you decided to cancel. When it's right, you'll feel better about this decision as you take another cruise.

No problem, I'll have 2 konk koolers for each of you! :drinking1 :beach: :drinking1

We’re originally from the Chicago area; lived in Glenview, IL until 1997 when we moved to Pinckney, MI outside of Ann Arbor. AKA: the gateway to Hell (MI) as featured in a Jeep commercial a few years back. Anyway, we're now in St. Louis, moved here in 2002 and very diehard Cub and Bear fans  (thus cubbybear1)
We have 2 grown sons and two granddaughters ages 9 & 4. We’ll all be returning home this spring for a week at OKW. It seems we’re always planning our next vacation even before we take the current one.
Our dream is to retire to Florida and work at WDW. Doesn't everyone!!

that's it in a nutshell.
Mic (see you real soon)key Mouse.... :mickeyjum

:thanks:

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Glad to see you decided to join in. We are a fun group and this cruise is going to be fantastic!!

Yup. I love the Tags, Bags, Boxes cartridge. They're all about 3 inches tall. The purse and bag are about 3 1/2 inches across and the Minnie bag is about 4 inches across.
