I'm distracted and exhausted. Emma's preschool teacher called this afternoon to schedule a home visit. HOME VISIT??? This is preschool we aren't adopting a child, we're sending one off to school!!She said she likes to come and visit with the kids one on one so they get to know her a little bit outside the school setting and aren't intimidated. Alrighty. Emma is dying to go to school. I know she'd be perfectly happy with me dropping her at the curb and pulling away if I could. Can this teacher visit be optional?

So I'm a nervous wreck because I just know no matter how clean the house is, or how well presented we are that seconds before this lady arrives the girls are going to fight--there will be bruises or worse---blood on the floor, tears, punches, hair pulling. UGH!! I get all worked up because after all those years of being taught by nuns, any religious figure sends me into a complete tailspin.

Straighten up a bit (dont' leave 1/2 eaten food on the couch) and when the teacher gets there, apologize up front for how the house looks....then say something like "I'm sorry, I had a choice to either vacuum or play a game with the girls, and since these girls are only little once, I decided to play a game. The dirt will be there tomorrow."![]()
cgcw said:Well, now, that just sounds like loads of fun! I can understand getting to know the kids before hand, but our kids teachers scheduled a pre-meet at the school. It was only 10 minutes long, they worked on their first coloring project which was hung up in the hallway outside their class for the first day while the teacher and I reviewed the emergency information and finalized the paperwork.
I would be very nervous as you know kids never act on their best behavior when they have an audience. Is that visit today? Good luck when ever it is!![]()

It will air on December 25 but tapings are currently scheduled to take place December 1 - 3 at MK and DVC members will have an opportunity to be part of the live audience. More information will follow.
Hmmm! I wonder if we could sneak in a quick trip before the holidays! Then again, I wonder if rooms would even be available at this late date! Oh yeah, I've used all of my points for this year and have already borrowed some of next year's so I guess this wouldn't work! Oh well! Have a good day everyone. I'm off to work!
BCVOwner2002 said:Wow! We really are getting close to two big milestones - 15,000 posts and 1,000 pages. I'm sure we'll get there today.
Mail Alerts - Did anyone else receive their Vacation Magic yesterday? I just noticed it on the kitchen counter. We also received a new Refer a Friend flyer too. This is similar to what DVC did earlier in the year. Refer a friend and receive a $50 Disney Gift Card. You can receive up to $200 in GCs. The good news is that the gift cards can be redeemed at select merchandise, ticketing, food and entertainment locations at DL and WDW. They can even be used aboard DCL or Disneyshopping.com and Disney Stores throughout the US. This is a much better deal than last year since there are more ways to redeem them. Last year it was only online at Disneyshopping.com.

Well we have Nick's bookback all ready to go. I'm just nervous about him taking the bus because he hasn't really riddena school bus. He did for a little bit when he was in k-2 but my parents lived literally live about 200 yards from the elementary school that he went to so he walked to school rain, sleet or snow, so today could be interesting.
I just hope he remembers his bus route number and where to get off. He has so many new things to remember in the next couple of days. New homeroom number, locker number and combination, pin number for the lunchroom, and bus route number!![]()
I'm just glad we don't live in Western NY right now. When the kids go to school they will be in lockdown because of the fugitive the State Police are looking for

Diana Lyn said:That whole fugitive thing scares me to no end. On our way home from Six Flags we saw the procession of troopers going out to to meet the casket that was being flown home. There must have been 50 cars. It was so sad. Then Bruce found out yesterday that the trooper's dad used to work for him.![]()

I'm thinking they find that guy in the woods somewhere and he doesn't make it out alive. And did you see some in his hometown think he's some kind of hero!?Are you kidding me! someone who steals, breaks out of jail and shoots 3 State Troopers killing one of them...oh yea he's a hero...NOT!!!!!

The worst duty that I perform is standing at funerals. A man or woman that I have never met, went to work one day and gave their life because some schmuck didn't get to do what he(she) wanted to. This punk in NY is a career thief. He is the prime suspect in a third police related shooting and the break in of a gun shop where 41 weapons were stolen. This fool has had nothing better to do with life than take things from hard working people who have what he wants. Good luck to the NYSP! (putting away my soapbox)

As soon as I finish with the packing/moving/setting up I'll head over to my Michael's store and see what they have!
The local Dollar Store has started stocking Scrapbooking stuff!
It looks like I will have a new hobby!
Hope I can get as good as some of your works!

This has probably already been answered by our early birds, but here's my recommendation for starting out.Scratch42 said:Question for all you scrapbookers...................
