Gosh, it sounds like the Chicago people are going to have some fun this weekend. No traveling for us really. Chris is spending the night at his mom's tonight with the girls. Emily is going to grandma's for the weekend, but Chris' brother called last night and is having some computer problems. So, he's going to spend the night so that he doesn't have to drive home late. And, he decided to take Madison with too, so she could see grandma, as well. So, a nice quiet evening is in store for me!!!

The rest of the weekend, we're just planning on doing some work around the house and yard.

Steve (and Tina) we're seeing Gary Sinise in Schaumburg Saturday night. Want to join us? Of course trying to find each other could be a chore. Just look for the booth where Cindy is selling DCL lotion at $2 a packet.

$2 a packet That's a whole lot cheaper than the Konk Kooler she's charging me. Heck, if I got a good Ding fare it would be cheaper to fly there and pick some up! ;)

Happy Anniversary Duana and Hope!!

Amy - I love the new picture! How cute. Tom and I still have to get our picture taken for Mary and Mark's site. I never had Shawn take our picture before he went back to school.

Diana - great job on the paint cans. I wish I was good at that stuff.

Boy! Everyone has been very chatty today. I hope to be in chat tonight.

The manager at the Walmart I went to said that they would not be reimbursed if more than one coupon showed up on the receipt. Don't know if this it true or not but wasn't in the mood to argue with her.

Dh still has a new car on the brain. He has been in contact with someone trying to get THE best deal! Anyway, in another hour or so we are headed off to test drive another Explorer. This one is LOADED! Not sure why I would need a navigation system to get to the grocery store, but what the heck!;)

This lady is REALLY crunching the numbers. We are talking $7,000 to $8,000 off sticker price. Plus, the 0% financing for 72 months. Definately worth looking at.

How is Grandma Lightbulb doing?

She's well. She's finally done with her chemo. YIPPIE!

Now she's volunteering in the chemo room and the cancer unit at an Orlando hospital......which is good and bad. Good b/c she can definitely empathize with the ppl there and REALLY be able to say "I know how you feel." But bad b/c she has encounters every week with ppl who THOUGHT they had beaten cancer, but now they were back for round two....or three.....or four. :( :(

We're going to go down there for about 4 days prior to our next Disney trip.....she has promised not to cook for us, so we're heading down (cooking is not her strong suit....heck, it's not even her remotely feeble suit!!!!) :lmao:

btw, thanks for asking!!! :) :) :)

Cool, U TOP with "the lady who didn't have tip money and needed to borrow it from us" and Grandma Lightbulb :lmao:

BTW - since I posted this morning that we needed 110 posts a day to get to 20,000 we've done 130 :lmao:

Julie have a fun trip to Chicago! Enjoy trying on the wedding dress, this is when the excitement level kicks up another notch. Have fun!

Off to Deanna's soccer game for the tournament. First I need to change into jeans - it's getting a bit chilly out there and I'm sure it will get colder as the evening goes on.

Heading out for dinner and then shabbat services. Hopefully I'll catch chat.

So someone asked what we need to do to get to 20,000 by sailing day. Well we need approximately 5608 posts. Divided by the 51 days we have left that means we need to do 110 posts (or 7.3 pages) per day.

The way everyone has been chatting lately I don't think that will be a problem!

Emily's first stuffed animal was a Pooh bear too. Except, it's that HUGE one! We bought it at EPCOT in the UK and picked it up at the hotel. Chris just couldn't pass up that gigantic Pooh. Now, I'm getting ready to eBay it, because it takes up too much space and the girls don't play with it.

We still have Nick's Pooh Bear. It will be one of those things that i pull out to show his girlfriend/wife!

So while Amy was flooding the thread with posts :rotfl: I was taking pictures!

Here the chain--nothing fancy, just Mickey colors. I have it hanging from the ceiling in the family room, just high enough that the girls can reach it thinking if they rip more links off we can go sooner! The picture is taken from the steps to the kitchen before you think I'm 8 feet tall. :rotfl2:

And this is what I've been working on crafts wise. I'm in a quart sized paint can swap over on the Creative Boards and I had to make 4 of each cans to swap. I can't wait to get the others back because those ladies do some incredible work!

Group A The Fab Five--Minnie Mouse. That's an altered mini composition notebook for the filler.

Group B Princesses--Cinderella. That's a mini accordian album for the filler.

They came out GREAT!!!!
The princess one is very cute, I really like the castle on the front of the can.

Mary, I really don't think you need any classes, I've seen all your work and it's awesome for a first timer!

And as far as my creativeness goes. I'm afraid I'm not the least bit creative, I'm real good at copying stuff other people have done. :rotfl: They call that scraplifting! :lmao:

Ditto what Diana said. I would never in a million years thing the CJ is your first time scrapbooking!

So what does everyone want to do:

1) go to the regular chat room?

2) go early to one of the other rooms and have a separate DVC chat?

3) stay here and chat on the thread?

I really like the paint can too, just not sure what I would use one for. :confused3

Squid

You can use them to hold mementos not just to put the little accordian books in.
Like make a special one for a vacation you might take (hint, hint) and fill it with any brochures or postcard and trinkets and decorate the outside like you might do a scrapbook page!

I think there's alot more people who don't dress in Pirate gear than that do.

I wasn't going to do the Pirate thing this year, but John wants to so we ordered new costumes. At least we can use them for the Sept cruise, the Member Cruise and the MNSSHP too. Oh, by the way are any other adults dressing for the Halloween party at WDW? Deanna said there is no way she's going to be a pirate (hmmmm, wonder who's buying her costume :) ) she wants to be a crash test dummy

We will pirates for MNSSHP too. Pack once use twice that's my motto. Pluss with them talking about needed an extra suitcase for the stuff they will be giving us I want to save as much room as possible!

Julie - have a fun and safe trip.

Amy - I love the new family photo. You hairdo looks great, I almost didn't recognize you.

Good luck with your purchase. We purchased a Mecury Montego and got a GREAT deal. I traded in a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer that I purchased less than a year ago. I thought I would get used to driving the SUV but I hated it! I was very nervous and didn't like being up so high. The funny thing is that the Montego is actually longer and wider than the Mountaineer but I feel very comfortable driving the Montego.
