Thanks to Jeff and Curt for the Block Party info. Get there between 5 and 7 for the wristband! Since this is a girls only trip---look out PI on Thursday night!!

Oh and WHEN the Yanks are playing in the Series, Jeff and I can sit and watch together! :cheer2:

I'm off to read Mouse Matters!

What, you think you're the only two Yankee fans on this cruise?

We went home at lunchtime and...

:rockband:

We got a message from DVC. :wizard: They are holding a cabin for us (6070)! :Pinkbounc Thanks to all for the Pixie Dust!

Now we've got to see if work will let us go...

Will let you know how we make out!

Q - Has anyone heard IF there will be any special activities prior to the cruise, like the Pirate Scavenger Hunt last year? If we have to buy airline tickets, we'll need to take that into consideration. Thanks!
We're just three doors down the hall! Hope everything comes together for you at work! pixiedust:

That's a nifty addition to the web site. Interesting distribution of rooms. There doesn't seem to be a single deck that has more rooms taken then any other deck. I am worried about the forward section of deck 7 though. It could get a little low in the water if we all congregate there.

It's not too late to join in, so anyone who has early seating for dinner, please contact me (Cindy) with your name, confirmation number, cabin number and the number of people in your group.

I see that we are still waitlisted for early dining. We ARE definately EARLY dining, according to our cruise docs. So, PLEASE add us to the list for DIS Dining! Thanks so much!!!!! There are 4 of us. We would be thrilled to share a table with anyone (everyone?). Sounds like great fun!

DVC really rolls out the red carpet for the Member Cruise, that sets all these cruises apart from the others. There are personal touches everywhere. I just know this one is going to be VERY SPECIAL.

HAPPY MEMORIES TO YOU AND BOTH YOUR FAMILIES! :thumbsup2

OH, how wonderful your message is! Please please please tellme how I can get all those wonderful smilies! They are so cool!!!!!:cool1:

Connie - that's great news and we look forward to seeing you at dinner!

Cindy's just the list keeper so be sure to ask around the group as to who might not have a full table yet and then let Cindy know who you would like to be paired with! I think dinner is going to be so much fun!

ITEM 1: "Now, we may not be on speaking terms in the Fall if the current trend continues and the Yankees and Tigers play in the playoffs. :duck: "

The way I see it only ONE of us will be represented in the fall classic (theorecticlly) so in the name of friendship preserverance I promise to leave my DD/TW (dear Disney/Tiger wife), come out of the Sports bar and buy you a drink at the pool. ( :duck:- right back at you my friend!! :rotfl2: )

ITEM 2: As for your quote, exactly when will we ever hear this story since you consume no alocholic beverages?

:confused3 - GIVE THE BOY A CHOCOLATE CIGAR!! :lmao:

You'll have to buy me the drink at the sports bar while I watch the NY teams play each other. :thumbsup2

As for your other quote, I will take a sugar-free cheesecake (the one at WDW is really bad) dessert instead as I don't eat sugar and don't smoke.

Just wanted to jump in and say thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Looking forward to seeing all our Cruisin' friends! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

One more question about the DVC Block Party since I'm traveling with friends and not my family. Do they ask for their room keys or anything to prove they are with me or can I pick up a hot guy in the parking lot and bring him along too? :lmao:

LOL, Diana you can take anyone you want with you I think up to 4 people total.

What week are you going to be there? if it's not tomorrow I might be able to meet up as my testing has to be done by this Friday. If it's next week it will be an excuse to go to MGM and play Millionaire some more before the block party.

There's no one midship on Deck 7 except me. Did Julie and Chris talk about what terrible neighbors we were on SSMC05? :confused3

So if I find 4 hot guys I can ditch my friends? :lmao:

I'll be there from Thursday the 24th thru the 27th, staying at BWV the first night and YC the last two.

When's the last day for Millionaire?

I'll make that change.

Thanks! :flower:

Well, you can bring 3 hot guys and yourself if you so desire.

I have a room booked for the 25-27th at Coronado Springs but I think I'm going to cancel it because I'm spedning a lot of disposable income on Food and Wine special events. For anyone who is thinking about Food and Wine special events, I would check back every so often because some things that were booked solid the first day have opened up again. I was able to book an exquisite evening at Epcot that was already sold out the first day when I called. Call of the Wild was still sold out for Friday the 27th though.

Millionaire closes August 19th - this I found out from one of the hosts. She said noone is happy about it closing and it was as big a shock to them as it was to all of us. I guess chalk one up for having a Pixar themed ride in every park (Buzz lightyear/Laugh Floor in MK, Nemo and Friends in Epcot, Midway madness in MGM and ITTBAB/Nemo Show in AK).

Georgie - Congratulations!!! That's terrific that you'll be sailing with us.

Sandy and Connie - There will be many more Yankee fans than just us watching (hopefully) as the Yanks beat the Mets in the Series.

Erin - I can't open the bumper sticker at work, I'll try when I get home.

My DH & I also were at the SRS Grand opening in May 2004 without the kids (!) & enjoyed every minute of the celebration. Watching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom without the crowds on the bridge in front of Splash Mountain is a great memory I have from the event.
I have a question that I know will sound trivial and silly to most, but maybe someone will know the answer anyway. It was either Miss Sara Toga or Miss Dee Vee See that mentioned her definition of gossip, which I thought was very cute, but I can't remember it. Does anyone recall the definition?

I don't know if anyone answered this for you yet since I still have 5 pages to read but the Lovely Miss Sara Toga professed herself as a "Hightened listener and Expediant Communicator" aka Town Gossip!
I loved that term so it stuck in my head :thumbsup2
