:cool1: Only 16 more weeks!!!! I better start packing!

We made it to Ohio in one piece after the 10 hour journey. :faint: The girls are having a hard time with the "we're in a hotel, other people like to sleep at 7am" concept. I bet Matt and Julie and Chris and her family are thankful not to have us as neighbors for this cruise!:rotfl2:

16 weeks! Another week down! I can't wait until we get into the single digits!

Oh but wait! I still need to order shirts, lose another 20 pounds, shop, plan our cruise activities!! So much to do and so little time! :rotfl2:

I'm so glad Mary shared the information on the Eco Tour. That looks like fun.

Thanks to everyone for the anniversary wishes. I told Tom we are going to celebrate our 25th at WDW and have our vows renewed. I can't think of a better place to do so.

Have a good day everyone. Not sure I'll make it into chat tonight. Enjoy the holiday!

Glad to hear that you made that long trip in one piece. I don't know that I'd be that brave to deal with the girls in the car that long. Heck, they were driving me crazy in Feb when we drove the 2.5 hrs to Port Canaveral. I can't imagine 10 hours.

Have a good visit (or as good as it can be).;)

Good morning everyone :surfweb:

It looks like there might be some rain on the horizon today. I'm not exactly sure what our plans are for today. Gary's oncall this weekend and had to go into work 3 times yesterday to resolve problems. Whatever we do, it will be close to home so if he gets called again, we all don't have to come back to get Gary off to work.

Glad to hear you made it to the inlaws Diana. Hopefully the week will go fast. :goodvibes

Cameron's team won their baseball playoff game yesterday afternoon. Next game, Friday night. It's a good thing we didn't tell the kids that we were planning on going to see Dead Man's Chest Friday night. Or, Cameron's team might be short a player. I guess we'll have to see it another time next weekend.

Diana - glad to hear you guys made it to Ohio ok.

Annmarie - the eco tour is a lot of fun. I also highly recommend the Stingray encounter. That's what i loved about going to CC twice (like we are doing on this cruise). One day for excursions etc. and one day to relax!

Cindy - definately some rain in the area. Got drizzled on a bit as we went into church. Now it looks like it is going to start again. Mark is doing some work over at his Grandmother's house and I'll be doing laundry. How exciting! :)

Oh, lucky you. We are always doing laundry around here. Does this little guy help to get through it?? :laundy:

I forgot until Gary mentioned it that today the White Sox World Champion Trophy is at our park district. So, Gary & Cameron are heading over there this afternoon to try and get a picture. :cool1:

Deena - nice to see you posting. Haven't seen you around for a while.

Diana - glad you made it safely to Ohio!!! You have to tell me how the Star Wars exhibit is.... I think Nick would love to see it....

Cindy , good to hear Cameron had a great time at Camp...

Have a great weekend every one!!!!!!!!

Diana - Glad to hear you made to Ohio safely. You have to take a ton of pics of the Star Wars exhibit!! :yoda: :ewok: :chewy: :darth:

Cindy - Glad Cameron is home safe & sound. Nick will be glad to hear he is home he wants to email him again before the cruise!

Just a lazy weekend around here. Mom & Dad are off to WDW tomorrow so Max (the dog) came to "camp" at my house. Luckily he gets along with my cats! :dog: :cat:

Well, we have been car shopping (not by choice). My Honda Accord that I just spent $1600 on 4 months ago for new front and rear brakes, tires and the 90,000 maintanence has some new issues. It needs a new catalytic converter and timing chain (another $1600). The car blue books for $5300. We have decided it is time to let it go. Figure it will start nickel and diming us and something major could be around the corner. I am sorry I bought the new brakes and tires but who knew. Anyway, New Honda Accord will be purchased either tomorrow after work or Tuesday morning. Anyone else hate purchasing cars? I am glad we cancelled the Med. cruise for next summer. Looks like we will be paying off a new car and next summer we will spend a couple weeks at WDW and get some good use out of our AP's.

Roxann - sorry to hear about needing a new car. Dealers in your area won't be open on Tuesday will they?

Yes they will be open until 5:00 pm. Anyway, we already made the deal DH and I are shifting financial stuff so we can bring a check in either tomorrow after work or Tuesday morning. I don't want to drive my car anymore than I have to.;)

Cheryl,
The restaurant looks very nice and your review was good but how did the food taste?

Well I'm a bit in a panic as my spine issue appears may be impinging not only on my nerves but on my travel/vacation plans! I have three trips planned in the fall, late Aug to WDW and drop dd at college, Sept to AZ for work conference and play, and of course the October DVC cruise. I'm concerned I won't make any of them. I'm really scared especially that I won't make the cruise.:sad2: If this doesn't clear up they will have to do surgery with a 6-12wk recovery period. But of course first they want to give it a chance to heal on it's own (another 4 wks?) so that brings me to 16wks! YIKES! I kinda want to say look it's not healing just do the surgery! Seriously! I plan to see some docs this week so maybe I'll know more. It's my nature to worry:scared:

Good morning everyone!

Cheryl thanks for the review and pictures of the turf club. We'll have to try that our some time.

Ilene - here's hoping the docs have some good news for you this week. While we would hate for you to miss the cruise your health is most important.

Wasn't feeling 100% yesterday so took it kind of easy. I went back and did some searching on the DIS to find posts about the first Member Cruise and Member Homecoming. It was very interesting to see these posts that are over 3 years old. Also fun to see some of what must have been our first posts to each other. If you ever have a boring day and want a walk down memory lane I suggest going and reading old threads you might have been involved in. :)

Good Morning Everyone! I can't believe the "weekend" is over (although I still have today and tomorrow too). Tom and I went to Plymouth yesterday. It was fun to be a tourist and check out "The Rock", walked by the Mayflower II and had a seafood lunch at The Weathervane. After lunch, we took a long walk along the jetty but it was very windy out there.

We haven't gone to Plymouth for several years and I was disappointed that a lot of the antique shops were closed. We also stopped by a Cranberry Winery and sampled all of their varieties (7 different wines) but didn't really like any enough to purchase. No plans for today but tomorrow we will be going to a cook out with friends.

Irene - Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well. I hope you are able to go on all of the trips you have planned.

Roxanne - we just purchased a new car too. I got an '06 Mercury Montego Premier. I actually enjoy car shopping. I like to do all of the research online and then go to several dealers to get the best deal on trade and discounts. By the time I decide which vehicle I'm going to purchase I know as much about the vehicle and its options as the salesman does!

Cheryl - good review. We haven't stayed at SSR yet but hope to when we are there next year.
